Love these, they are a bit more rigid than the terraflex which is nice for a boot, very comfortable, and awesome customer service, immediately fixing a problem I had with the first pair.

Love this shoe. Was looking to replace a 30 year old pair of Vasque hiking boots. Heard about Xero and thought I would give them a try. This boot is one of the most comfortable and lightest pair of boots I tried. The feel and grip is great.

Solid feel on uneven, rocky surfaces. The waterproofing has proven effective too. Normally wear size 12 but went up to 13 for these.

I loved these boots but I'm very disappointed by the size. I contacted Xero for sizing guidance and was told they would fit the same as the prior version of the Xcursion. Instead they are too small. I wish I had been able to try them on before committing to a size.

These feel great to run in! Just arrived yesterday, I work outside 5+ days a week averaging around 10-12 miles per day and the forecast is calling for a rain/snow mix for the next 2 or 3 days. Time to see just how waterproof they are!

Took these new boots out for a short 8.5 km hike just after Easter. They were really good. I was impressed by the robust feel of a boot they gave while retaining a flat sole design which I like. I was hiking near bushland and a lake, and was going to go around a slightly wet area until I remembered the shoes are waterproof and walked straight through! It was so nice to be able to do this without getting wet feet and soggy shoes! All my footwear is now Xero shoes!

Got these two weeks ago. Solid feeling boot with a sole on the burly end for a minimal shoe. You won't feel every pebble in the trail, which is a good thing for most. Many boots cut into my ankle a bit at first, but these were comfortable right away. They have a loose, roomy feel to them rather than being a snug fit like merrills or five fingers. They don't feel as agile as those slipper-like shoes, but then again no stubbed toes either. The sole stiffness seems perfect for spikes. I took these for a slushy mud hike right after I got them - feet stayed dry even standing in a 2 inch deep puddle. This week I tried them in the Utah desert with good results. The super sticky sole was fun on the desert sandstone, giving me tons of grip for slot canyon slopes and obstacles. Despite the roominess I didn't feel like my foot was moving around too much on the downhills or sidehills. Over a week of sandy hikes I hardly had any debris get in the boots. With wool socks they're noticeably warmer on my feet than my usual altras. Might try some coolmax socks and see how they are with those in warmer weather. Looking forward to getting these into the mountains this spring.

The Xcursion Fusions, since they're waterproof, are my go-to for whenever it's raining or lightly snowing outside. If it's heavy snow, I'll throw on the Alpine's, but these get the job done most of the time and are a bit lighter. They're quite the upgrade in style from the previous Xcursions. They're a "solid" boot, so to speak, but they're not stiff. Like all Xero SHOES, you can roll them up into a ball. Thanks Xero Teams for sending these to me to review. :)

I got a pair of these to try from Xero. I got them just in time to take them to Colorado with me and they kept my feet warm, and dry, without taking any freedom from my feet. I get cold toes easily. They are different than the previous model, a little less flashy, and I really like both.

My shoes lasted 3 months, this is a 1/3 of the time that shoes normally last for me. My feet are exposed to grinding sparks as well as I use these for work and there's a lot of abrasion caused by ground contact on the side of the shoe. The waterproof feature lasted only 2 weeks before moisture started to creep in. However, these shoes were comfortable enough that I'm getting a second pair.

I get plantar fasciitis but find minimalist footwear works best for me - especially after several years of working from home and being shoeless 90% of the time. I normally wear a women's size 8W, so ordered a women's 8.5. It fit almost perfectly but was still just a bit too snug across the widest part of my foot to keep. Xero's site suggests women who wear a wide size try a men's boot/shoe instead. So, I ordered the men's 6.5. The width is perfect, but they feel a tad bit bigger in the toe box and length. Not enough of a problem for me to return them, but I'm not in love the way I was when I first slipped on the women's boot. I'll see how they do after hiking a few miles in them.

The shoe is very well made. However, I had to return it as shoe is best for a high volume foot.

I really wanted this to become my go to shoe! I have been buying Altra boots, but since the demise of the Altra Footwear Lone Peak 4 Mid Mesh, I had to give them up do to a change in quality and customer service. I need a wider toe base which this shoe delivered. However, I have a narrower heel and thus that part did not work so well as it was a bit loose. Last, maybe it is just me, but I always end up replacing the insoles. These possible had the worst stock insoles that I have ever had in any boot. Overall, I think that they are well made and would stand the test of time, they just were not for me.

I have tried several types of minimalist hikers but I’ve liked these the best, though it’s been a struggle with these as well (hence the four and not five stars). I started with a size 12, then a 13, and finally a 14… A 13.5 would be perfect, but the 14s are working pretty well. I bought these for daily wear as a handyman and for hiking. These has been a slight break-in period but not too bad. My biggest complaint, the I really really hope goes away with time, is the noise the left boot makes. It’s almost as if the waterproofing is loose inside and it makes a squeak / plastic bag noise with every step and on all surfaces. It’s bad enough I thought about sending them back for another pair, but I need them for work so I’m stuck with the noisy left boot (no issues and zero noise from the right boot…). However, I would still recommend these to anyone looking for a comfortable minimalist boot.

This is my 2nd pair of zero shoes. My first pair were a 10.5, so I ordered 10.5 in the bison. Too small. Thank you ZAPPOS for your entire return/exchange system in place. Quite possibly the most efficient thing on the internet. Returned for an 11 and they fit perfect. I work in grocery, and walk 6-7 miles before 7am. Then about 12-14 miles for the entire day. Xero are the first shoes that I don’t feel I need to remove them right away after I walk those 14 miles. I’m 58 and I feel they *do* help with balance. They’re super light. My first pair are low top Prios, and now these xcursion fusion. Two thumbs up! Oh, and why the 3 stars for style? The toe of the shoe just looks a little goofy to me. But I get it. It allows your toes to splay. And that’s a good thing.

Love the almost not there weight. Great fit. Grip could be a little sticker but that generally comes at durability issues so I can live with that. Only things I'd change would be to add a grove on the bottom to except a strap for gaiters and having the front of the boot to be more like the Colorado with the toe cap.

I loved the feeling of the soles, but I had the same problem as another reviewer with the uppers, that the combination of their stiffness and the amount of vertical room means that when you flex your foot, the uppers can fold sharply, stabbing in to the top of your foot.

Overall loved the shoes. There aren't too many "barefoot" style hiking boot options out there so I was happy to find these and they met my needs. Unfortunately, my job requires me to be in the field traversing rough terrain most days of the week and these boots didn't even make it through a single field season before breaking down and losing water-tightness. They were still wearable and I finished out the season with them, but I had a lot of days with wet socks and cold feet toward the end. In fairness, there are probably few shoes that could stand up to my job for more than a season. I'd probably still buy them again if I couldn't find anything better in the zero-drop sole outdoor boot category.

Nice shoe but no way is it Wide in the forefoot as marketed. Compared its insole to one of a true wide boot that I own. Xero insole is much narrower by visual comparison, and actually painful to try and wear. Returned.not gonna believe Xero again.

I was expecting better from xero shoes, honestly. There's way too much shoe on these. I understand these are boots, but they're supposed to be barefoot boots. Not nearly enough ground feel, and be WAY too stiff. They also are narrow compared to other xero shoes products. My toes feel cramped in there. That being said, they are high quality. Truly waterproof, and they seem durable. No arch support or heel of course, which is fantastic. But unfortunately, not comfy. Not very barefoot/minimalist.
