Right out of the box, this was one of the most comfortable shoes Ive ever worn. I got them specifically for playing disc golf and light hiking. I had high hopes for a long lifespan, as they look incredibly durable. Unfortunately, although Ive only worn them for about a month, and only for disc golf which is basically just walking in a park, Ive already worn two holes into the upper. The first hole is just behind the big toe on the mesh, and the second is where the rubber toe cap is seem to the leather type material. Im pretty disappointed about how quickly they tore, actually. I would have expected it from a $30-40 shoe, but at this price point I feel like the durability is incredibly low.

I've been running for over 40 years, and wore a knee brace to unload a damaged meniscus. I thought I needed cushioned shoes to protect my joints. I heard about "barefoot running" and decided what the heck, give it a try. I immediately started running on the balls of my feet instead of striking the heels. This was totally an unconscious effort. My calves got sore because I was using muscles I had not used before. I realized my foot was now acting as a shock absorber, so there was no need for cushion. My feet and legs strengthened and I dumped the knee brace. I don't even use the insoles that are included. On my old running shoes, the outside heel would wear down real fast before anything else wore out. On the Xero, the heel hasn't worn at all- the ball is where it wears, but over a much larger area. I recommend transitioning slowly from your old shoes so you don't get sore calves like I did. The shoe wore out evenly, and never delaminated at the toe like a lot of shoes have. Mine are pretty much worn outafter a lot of use, but are still working. Buying another pair. My normal size is 11 1/2, but I use 12 in the Teraflex.

these fit exactly as promised. I have peripheral neuropathy and have a very hard time finding shoes that don't irritate my nerves. These are lightweight with a wide toe box (which I need). I was very excited to get these and then try them on - and then have them be extremely comfortable.

They are really comfortable, great minimalist or barefoot shoe. Very light but I don't worry about them falling apart as I did with some other brands I tried on. I said no arch support, but that's the minimalist thing. If you want a substantial arch support check out Merrell's Glove Trail 5 or 6. The Glove Trail seemed like a fantastic shoe but way too much arch for me. The Terraflex has a nice tread - grips well but doesn't carry dirt or mud with it. I am a gardener and these have been great in the short term but I've only worn them for a couple months so far - hope they last a couple seasons.
I switched to tall (8") boots as we transition to fall. If the xero xcursion were taller I would try a pair but as is I have belleville's mini-mil which are great if you don't mind a more military look. Trying out Vivobarfoot's Forest Esc for the winter (wish it was taller - missed the deep notch at the back in the online images), although I'm considering the xero's Alpine as a back-up.
I'd also recommend:

I ordered size 11.5 which usually works for me. The right shoe was just long enough and very comfortable. The left shoe allowed one of my toes to touch and rub against the toe box. There was a slight raised area (manufacturing defect) in that part of the toe box that contributed to the impingement. It would not have been an issue if not for the already close tolerances. I had to return the pair that I ordered but am seriously considering ordering again at size 12.

Liked the shoe for the 3 hours I wore them. It's a great sole... Then they just broke. As I examined the shoes more carefully, I realized this was going to happen again and again. Just bad manufacturing. China, I believe.

I really like the shoe. I am a gardener and sometimes get into in broader landscaping and tree care. I small profile shoes I am better able to feel where I am stepping, which helps me no step on plants. The tread seems like it will provide great traction for wet slopes or climbing into trees.
I have been a size 9 in other zero drop or minimalist shoes but these felt a tad small. I ordered the 9.5 to compare and those were a better fit. Probably would have been happiest with a 9.25, if there were such a thing.

I have plantar fasciitis and these shoes are great. My feet don't hurt and they feel good with or without socks. The tread is fairly aggressive too which is nice.

Great shoes, I wear them daily. 5,000 mile soles, I only wish the insoles lasted half as long. I can't wait to break in the new Excursion boots this fall.

I bought these comfortable shoes to wear at work on hard surfaces and live in my Colorados at home and on the trail! Im good in all weather until the winter! I kept the insert in place and love how my toes can spread out in both pairs.

A shoe that's shaped like a foot, is light as a feather, and has traction like a pair of cleats. PLEASE KEEP MAKING THESE BECAUSE I WILL TOTALLY BUY THEM AGAIN!!!

They are very comfortable and true to size and width! The shoes look great, too! Due to their light weight and more minimalist design, you may have to spend time getting your feet used to them.

Perfect fit, perfect feel, perfect grab on the ground. My first wear I went jogging through a small dry creek bed and felt immediately confident in the shoes ability to hold on any surface I bounded onto or from. Felt alive as I did when I was a kid doing exactly the same kinda thing but with, you know, lesser shoes
So yeah, possibly my favorite pair of Xeros. But dont tell my 4 other pair of Xeros. I tell each of them the same thing ...and the thing is, Im telling the truth every time!!

I've put thirty or so miles on these shoes and couldn't be happier with them. Curious to see how they will hold up over time, but for now they are my go to running shoes.

I love these. They are sturdy enough I can wear them to the barn and on our rocky trails but light enough my feet get good feedback from the ground. I finally had to replace my first pair because the upper fell apart. They lasted through more than 2 years of heavy use with no other issues.
The fit in these is perfect with plenty of room up front for my feet to spread out and the heel snuggly in place. These are just great shoes.

I love this shoe. It is comfortable, good traction, the width and toe box are just right for my foot. This is my second pair. I wore out the first pair working on the farm in FL. This time I purchased the Terra Flex AND the Xcursion Fusion water-proof which I use for walks in the morning dew. I save the TerraFlex for when the grass is dry.... Welcome to North Florida farm country.

This is the first time I have tried this kind of shoe so I wanted to take things slow and really retrain how I walk and run placing more emphasis on the balls of my feet. So I started off with walking then jogging and walking and now jogging. The transition period was necessary for me as I really felt the strain on my calves after altering my position but its paid off and I just love jogging in these shoes now. Ill be looking to buy some that I can wear for day to day walking so I can continue to walk properly and prevent unnecessary injury!

Love Xero shoes. Will only buy this brand for both dress, athletic and hiking shoes. Even if you have thinning foot pads like I do, I simply buy some padded insoles for additional cushioning. Great shoes customized my way.
