I have so much I love about these boots and the Nisolo brand. I love that these boots were made with sustainably sourced leather and wood. They took no time to break in. They fit perfect (I usually were a size 8 but I sized up 1/2 a size). They look great with a dress, jeans and even when I go on a hike. Very versatile. I live in them.

Ive been looking to shop more ethically over the last couple months and I was on a mad search to find the right boots. I was so excited when I found Nisolo. At first, I was nervous purchasing these boots because I couldnt get a full return, but these are worth every penny! The boots are beautiful straight out of the box. I sized up half a size so I can wear thick boot socks with them. They took a little bit of breaking in (thick socks, walking around the house), but then they were good to go! Ive worn them out in the rain and my feet stayed completely dry. Looking forward to wearing these for the long haul! Even my husband loves my boots and now he wants a pair of his own.

I ended up getting the Amaila Boot in the Stone color after my first choice was sold out. For sizing, I am a 7.5 in street shoes, but size up to 8 for heels or shoes with pointed toes. This is my fourth pair of Nisolo shoes, and I have found that my Nisolo size is typically an 8. However, on this boot, I sized up to an 8.5 (a full size bigger than my street shoe size!) just in case, and that ended up being the right choice! If you are on the fence on sizing, I would suggest you size up in this boot. For break in time, I would say this took me about two full days on my feet to get it to feel softer and easy to move in. Now that they are broken in more, I really love the shoe and the fit! The shoe will go with a lot more than I first anticipated and makes a versatile addition to my wardrobe. I recommend this shoe, but suggest you size up AT LEAST a half size!

Im excited to try this style because it has a bit more of a rounded toe box than my other Nisolos. This is a beautiful style and so far Ive only been wearing them around the house, but the all weather soles so far seem to add a little more softness and bounce than the dressier style Nisolos.

Worth. every. penny. These boots are gorgeous and so well made. Keep in mind that well made leather shoes required lots of break-in time and these are no exception. I've been wearing them around the house for a few hours at a time and they're still too stiff to wear outdoors without pain and/or blisters. I don't mind waiting though because these beauties are built to last AND they look great. I wear a 9 in most brands and 9.5 fit me well here.

Incredible Quality and craftsmanship. Just stunning leather that forms to your feet. I do wish that Nisolo had more comprehensive sizing guides. I'm almost 100% 7.5 and these were unbearably tight. I had to exchange them for the 8--but the Nisolo return was smooth and hassle free. I'll be a return customer!

Ive been looking for the perfect all weather shoes and Ive finally found them! Exactly whats advertised, no surprises. Knowing that they are sustainably made and the staff are paid living wages makes the purchase more worth it! Im looking forward to enjoying them for the years to come

These boots are just so beautiful. They are the perfect tone to go with everything. I ordered up a size and they fit well. They have taken a minute to break in around the ankles, but I can tell they will last a long time.

Great pair of boots! I love the look of them. Gotten plenty of compliments so far. Still breaking them in, but Im a huge fan. Worn them in cold weather and my toes stayed warm and comfy. Looking forward to wearing these beauties for years to come!

I fell in love with these shoes the first time I saw them, and they have wowed me everyday since Ive had them! So comfy, so cozy, so cute with any outfit. The absolute best shoes by the best brand.

High quality. From the packaging to the scent as you open the shoe box, Nisolo does a great job in ensuring customers get the high quality experience. My Amalia boots took a bit to break in the leather, however it was worth the process. Very impressed.

I had been eyeing these boots for some time before taking the plunge, and Im so glad I have tried the Chelsea boots, huarache sandals, mules, and James oxfords. The Amalias have been the easiest to break in and my favorites so far! They are super comfortable after only a week or so of break-in time. In case it helps, I am a size 7 but decided to size up to 7.5 in these to account for winter socks. At first I thought it was a mistake and I wanted to size down (the heel slipped a bit) but the excellent customer service team at Nisolo advised me to try to break them in more before I decided. Im glad I did! They are perfect now, and just right for wool socks. Love them!

I've always wanted a basic lace-up boot and this one is exactly what I was looking for. The brown color is perfect and they fit like a glove (I bought them in my usual size 8 and they fit true to size). It took a couple of wears to break them in, but I expected that, and now they're super comfy.

I absolutely love these winter boots. They serve perfectly well for snowy weather while also making a statement when worn to the office. I bought an 8.5 when I usually wear an 8 and they fit perfectly. They take time to wear in but once they do they fit like a glove.

The images of the boot look great, but in person they are gorgoues. The quality is worth every penny for the shoe. There isn't anything I don't like about it. I would definitely buy this in more colors.

This is my second pair of Nisolo's, and like the Chelsea, the Amala exceeds expectations. It is a gorgeous boot - lovely craftsmanship and you can feel and see the quality of materials. The leather arrives stiff (as I expected) and I experienced the tongue area cutting into my calves initially. I thought it would take a few wears to break in, but honestly they felt great after wearing them around the house just a couple times. I feel great about supporting Nisolo due to their business practices and low carbon footprint. And I love the boot for myself because it is stylish and so comfortable. I need something that can support my active work days and future travels, and these are it. These are walk around Paris for 10 hours in a day shoes :)

These are so great- have worn in rain and snow already and they still look great. Takes a little while to wear in, but not too bad.

They look great and break in quick

After going through many pairs of cheap boots I finally decided to treat myself to ones that will hopefully last me a long time. I like that these have a more masculine style but are made for a womans foot. Definitely a breaking in period (as expected) but I couldnt be happier!

Shoes arrived really quickly. They are very well-made and looks good. The boots need time breaking in though. I especially had a harder time with the gusseted tongue (it was quite hard and caused some pain to the shin area). However, wearing it around with socks in the house helped the break-in process and i could see some improvements in the comfort level. Overall, really well made, good quality boots.

Love them! I wanted an everyday shoe that could do it all in Chicago winter commuting. Be warm, water resistant and I could wear to work for business causal. It was hard to pick a color, but Im glad I went with the stone, the color work with virtually everything. Day 1 I needed no break in, as I wear them with thick hiking socks. You wont regret the investment! I treated the suede, and they should last for years to come.

Hard to break in but I know it takes time and Im confident they will be very comfortable once they loosen up a little! They are gorgeous shoes.
