Haven't worn these yet but I tried them on. I like how the tongue is connected to the sides of the boots a pretty good ways to the to. I feel it will keep your feet /socks from getting wet if you're walking in snow or something. They are very stiff. Not sure if there is a such thing as "breaking" these in.

They are a great boot. They run way too small thou. You will definitely need to order a size up/ bigger! Other than that they are awesome!

The boots are just ok. I live in Chicago and it gets very cold. I shopped around for boots this season because my last pair of boots which were also North Face have seen their last day. I wear a 6 and purchased a 7.5 in this boot. The same thing happened with my first North Face boots. I think a zipper design on the side of the boot would be more practical. It’s hard to keep the laces tight and they are a little short so they fall out of the top lace hoop on each side. The boots are also not as insulated as I’d like. Even with wool socks my toes are still cold.

I absolutely love these boots; from the moment I tried them on I felt how warm and comfortable they were and they provided me with adequate arch support for my considerably flat feet. They'll definitely keep the cold and the elements out--they look well-made. The only issue with this footwear is that it does indeed run small, and unfortunately, sizing up by half was not enough to allow the boots to fit properly. My feet still feel extremely cramped in the toe box, so I'll have to size up by a full size from my original shoe size. If you're going to purchase these boots and want a comfortable fit, the sizing is really something to consider before purchasing. I'll be returning these for a larger size, but I would definitely recommend these for being outdoors in the frigid winter seasons.

I purchased these boots for a Christmas trip to NYC. Rain was in the forecast so I needed a waterproof, warm, and comfortable option and these boots are just that. We walked miles in the rain and cold and not once did my feet hurt, get wet or old. The only con would be they are a little thick around the ankles but they did their job!!

Nice boot, a little heavy and stiff and runs small- over all very cute. Good for new England icy mornings and wet random snow falls

I love these boots and yes they do run small there is ONE BIG THING I HATE ABOUT THESE BOOTS! I work in a freezer and my toes still cold!! I don't know why I'm pretty sure it's the blood circulation in my feet but I thought these boots would help with that but no my toes so get cold and when I take my boots the inside of the boots are freezing in in a freezer for 10hrs a day is around 20 degrees so I don't know why this is happening

The footbed of this boot is dreamy - like walking on a supportive cloud! I've never felt such comfort in a winter weather boot's footbed. And the boot seems to be really warm, too. Sadly, the boot was too narrow in the forefoot for me. I'd ordered one full size up from my usual size based on others' reviews. The length was fine (so yes, order up in size) but the width was still too narrow. The boot seems to taper in at the toes.

Purchased this first in Black for my wife, however the sizing was small. NOTE: size runs small. Returner for a larger size, however they only had the brown in stock. Received the brown and still seemed a bit small. Wife thought the brown looked ugly especially for an expensive boot. Does not match her aesthetic Returned for refund. She did say they seemed small, but never wore them out of the house.

Based on reviews, I ordered a full size larger a s it fit better than II am sure my actual size would fit. But because I ordered such a large size, the ankle support was quite wobbly. Also, these boots seem like “city shoes” & not warm enough for long cold periods in mountains. I thought North Face would make a higher quality boot. I did like the look of the boots

Normally I wear a 9 but ordered 10 due to reviews & availability. Would have kept since I like to wear heavy socks but don’t think they will be warm enough for mountain living. A little floppy in ankles.

These boots are well made and very warm but they weren't for me. I didn't like how clunky they felt and they weren't easy to walk in, but only taking away one star for those reasons.

Sized a whole size up based on reviews and they fit well. Not sure they are going to be warm enough & have enough traction.

I really liked these boots but they run half a size smaller (you need to try them on with your winter socks) and the bottom inlay is quite thin. If you don't mind a thin inlay that is moving around and you need to adjust it when you put the boot on, I guess you got yourself a nice pair of boots.

This is a very durable boot with good grip for walking on ice or snow. The lining helps to keep your foot nice and toasty warm. The biggest problem is that it runs a size small. I typically wear an 8. I tried an 8.5 but that was feeling too snug. The 9 fits perfectly and has some nice roominess. I wish the boot were a few inches taller, but it is my go to boot this winter here in the Chicago area.

These are definitely the warmest boots and they have the potential to be comfortable, however, they are really tight fitting in the toe area. Even a 9 felt the same way. I wear really thin socks

I received these boots two days before a Nor'Easter and thank goodness I did! The snow was up to my shin but the boots kept my feet warm and dry. They're anti-slip and very comfortable. They also look great on. Love the pink laces against the beige boots.

Why do so many winter boots run so small? I always wear 7, but sometimes size up to a 7.5 for comfort in dress shoes. The 7.5 in these boots was way too small, and my toes were shoved against the front of the boot. The boots look good, they have a more petite profile than the photos suggest, and they seem well made like my Shellistas from years ago. They feel more stable than pac boots for walking, but like another reviewer said, they have the feeling of ski boots, where your calf is shoved forward a bit. Not sure I have the heart to order an 8, because the sizing is so unpredictable!

I like the look and style but definitely too small. Sent back. They didn't have the color I wanted in larger so bought Timberland- which run big! Hmm, where's my happy medium.

These boots look like great quality and exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately they are designed for people with no calf muscles or extremely long legs with high calf muscles. I'm on the petite side (5'4", size s) with regular sized calves. My calves push the shaft of the boot back which makes the material buckle funny at the back of the ankle. Some people may not be bothered or even notice. For the cost, I would prefer my boots to fit correctly. I'm returning them so can't speak to how warm they keep your feet.

I can see why people think these run big, the heel area is very roomy. But I got my typical size and the length is perfect. The laces don't seem to stay very well so Ill probably swap those out for a pair that holds a little better.

Overall these are great boots. Warm, waterproof, pretty stylish. They do seem to run about a half size small and the top part where you lace them up is a bit stiff. Wish there was a bit more fake fur around the top for a more stylish effect. But I live in Chicago where we have brutal winters, and they seem great for ice and snow.
I'd also recommend:
Sorel. Brooks, Nike, ASICS

These are very nice boots, but way too small. I am usually 8.5 and bought a 9.5 and still they feel tight (not enough space to accommodate a thick wool sock). Returning them and trying a 10 now. Let's see how it goes.

Haven't had a chance to really test these out, but fit is a bit tight. Ordered a half size up, and glad I did so that it would fit with thicker socks.
