I ordered these boots because a friend had a pair, and I loved the look and the loft of the sole. The fact that they were on sale on Zappos was a big bonus. Alas, I am returning them because they are - as other reviewers have noted but I hoped wouldn't apply to me - bizarrely narrow. As a bit of a boot connoisseur, I can say with confidence that I have NEVER put my feet into boots of the correct size (length) that were so painful. I have average-width and average-in-other-ways feet, but the Sorel Brex Chelsea boots were instantly excruciating. I wore them for some hours inside, as has been suggested by other owners, and though they softened a bit I was not convinced they could ever be truly comfortable. If you have narrow feet - rejoice! If you have average or wide feet - beware!

So this boots were exactly what I was looking for BUT the sizing was weird. If you have bunions, these will not work for you. I ordered the 9.5 and the 10. Somehow the ankle on the 10 seemed smaller than the 9.5. I couldn’t even get the size 10 on. I was able to get the 9.5 on, but it was too narrow. The leather is also stiff on the shin part. This design really needed a zipper and multiple widths. The colors (cobalt blue and black) and the style were exactly what I wanted, so I sadly returned them.

It was stiff material, hard to get on my high arch, and one size smaller and narrower in the toe box that fits my foot well. The material is not flexible. But it would probably be pretty water proof.

Wanted to LOVE these but narrow and color not what I was hoping for.

I was so excited that the boots became available in my size because the first time I ordered the boots, the wrong item was sent and my size became unavailable. My regular shoe size can be 7.5 or 8 depending on the brand and my foot is medium width for almost all brands, including Sorel. For Sorel boots, I've always been a size 8, and I own 4 that fit me comfortably from the start. This size 8 boot, is narrow on me and also fells about a half size too large. Such a bummer because the combination cider/black color is very nice and I love the contrasting lime green detail on the finger hook. I will be returning because the boot is just very narrow so it is a bit uncomfortable right off the box and makes my feet look unnecessarily long.

Although I’m size 7.5, Zappos kept “recommending” size 8.5 for me, which I knew would be way too big. I settled on size 8, which was still too big. Plus they are very stiff, heavy, and too clunky. Returning them.

I have a regular-width foot, maybe slightly narrow, but the forefoot of this boot is quite narrow. My foot fit but was resting on the edges, which rarely happens for me (Naot is the only other brand I can think of where this happens). In addition, the boot was extremely tight on my high arch. I definitely do not recommend this boot unless you have narrow feet and a low arch. As for quality, it seemed pretty standard. I could see some glue at the edges but mostly it looked like it would hold together. The leather seems fine but as you'd expect for something with waterproofing not all that flexible. The style is attractive in a chunky way that looks good with a slight crop, and I love the Cinder/Black color.

These are very nice looking, not shiny (black), but were very uncomfortable in the shaft (stiff/tight) - I have relatively thin ankles, would assume these would not work for someone who does not. Wore around the house for about 15 minutes, did not improve. The sole had a good grip and that part was comfortable for walking, but decided to return since may require significantly more wear to 'break in' and uncertain this would actually help (and would no longer be able to return).

absolutely love the style of these boots. I am a 7.5 and ordered an 8, due to the Sorel recommendations. They were too big in the length, yet very tight in width. I have average to narrow feet. I regifted them to my sister and reordered the correct size of 7.5. The length is just right, however they are very narrow. These are truly the most narrow boots I’ve ever had.

These books look so cute that I wish they had worked on my feet! The shaft is quite wide, so my heel lifted up quite a bit with each step. I found these boots to be larger than marked - I usually wear a 8.5 but the 8 was the right length/width.

These boots run narrow, especially in the toe box. My feet are slightly narrower than a medium width, and these were difficult to put on and once on, my toes were uncomfortably cramped. They are also pretty stiff, so stretching them would likely be difficult and breaking them in would likely be painful. I generally wear a 10.5, and lengthwise, the 10.5 was fine. I may try an 11 to see if the toe box is any wider, but worry they will be too long. Other than the fit, the boots are well made and as good looking in person as they are in the photos.

Pretty easy to slip on but they were just too narrow in the toes. Also rubbed on the ankles. I returned them.

Wanted to love these. Color and style is spot on. But, boot is narrow forward of arch. Toe box, heel, arch all fine. It's almost about where the narrowing starts more than it being too narrow. It gets narrow "forward" of where you'd expect. Created crease when you step that didn't look cute. So close though! Perhaps would have stretched, but didn't want to chance it. Have several other Sorel boots and know they can and should be comfortable as well as stylish.

These boots are a full size bigger than my other Sorel boots. I need to exchange for smaller.

Love everything about this boot except it slips on my heel. I am a true size 8 and the heel slips every time I wear it. For reference I am an 8.5 in Nikes, heels are either 7.5 or 8, and my Sorel Slim Pacs are 8.5. I tried this in an 8.5 and it was way too big. Love the look and feel and but don’t want a shoe that slips off my heel every time I walk.

This boot runs small in the metatarsal area. Going up a size did not help.

These boots were both too long and too narrow. Hard to get past that to say anything positive.
