I really liked the fit of this jacket. Having the string to cinch the waist is nice and I like how the hood fits. Def enough room for big sweaters underneath. Unfortunately it is not as warm as I wanted. Not even close actually.

I just received it and wore it on our first snow day. I was not happy. Yes it looks nice. But I felt the that the material wasn't fully waterproof as it was getting damp spots. Because it is thick the water didn't soak through but the description should state water repellent not water proof. I was cold. The sleeve buckles have one extra adjustment option but still doesn't close enough for me. The cold air gets through still. The high neck irritates my face when zipped up and buttoned all the way and the hood sits weird on the head. Had to tighten it so it won't fall back. I had to keep holding my hood forward. I like hoods that sit nice with no effort. The bottom pockets are angled to easily tuck your hand. Would not put anything in them as items can easily fall out if you forget to close the pockets. While walking through the snow fall I told myself I would never wear this jacket again. Shame I love Columbia.

Nice enough jacket but fits funny, kind of roomy even after using the draw string and sleeves are way too long. I wear size M and ordered M. Very light weight. If I put something in the outside pockets on the side of the breast, I'm sure it's going to look really odd. Kind of disappointed but needed a black winter coat. Saw one l liked much better after I ordered this one but they didn't have my size so I'm keeping this one. Hopefully it will keep me warm.

I'm a regular size large. This coat fit so tight in the armpits but has the longest sleeves ever and was perfectly roomy Everywhere else. Super bummed bc I tried hard to pretend it wasn't a bad for but it's practically useless for me so now I'm left searching the streets for a large size woman with extremely long skinny arms.. who need the warmest coziest coat i have ever owned but can not wear.

It's fits nice everywhere but not recommended for bigger arms. The holes that connect to the shoulders is very tight which makes it very uncomfortable to put your arms down at your side.

Arms and shoulder area is too large. Cuffs are too wide and no wrist gaiters or any lining. The bottom back fits strange, it seems like a penguin tail. I am 5,4 and 143 pounds, medium was to big for me. Maybe a petite version would fit better but Columbia does not offer that option.

I like everything about this jacket but the deal breaker is its bulky design in the front. I own one Sutton mountain down jacket which was bought 4 years ago in outlet and it is extremely warm as well as flattening stylish. I thought similar one could replicate but nopeonce I zip up I really the bulky front has overstated its price, and the bottom somehow is so loose creating room for chilly air to freeze my butt. I have to return it to my disappointment.

Excellent fit. It's light weight and very warm. I recently wore the coat during real feel of -3 degrees in NYC and i didn't feel the cold.

Jacket was a little wide on the bottom (and i have hips) so that is ultimately why i am returning. The L fit in shoulders better but was too wide. The M wasnt as wide but sleeves were too tight/short. Im 5'9 147lbs for reference.

I ordered up a size, and still the armholes were snug. I think it is an issue with the design, they are fine everywhere but the armpits, which need cut out more underneath. It was just too uncomfortable to keep, so I am returning it. The upper side pockets aligned perfectly with my breasts. That was really weird unless they are for some kind of breast heater? Touchie feelies? I don't know. Kinda creepy when you think about it. A two way zipper would be nice. It is not fleece lined, just the hood, so it sort of fakes the look, I guess. The inside of the jacket is some kind of shiny reflective stuff. I live where winters are pretty mild, and it barely freezes at night, it was perfect for that climate, but not a jacket I would recommend for really cold weather. The faux fur trim looked nice, and was easily removable. For that alone, I would have forgiven most of its faults, but the poorly cut armholes made it too uncomfortable to keep.

It is a very nice design, but the fabric gets cold and does not offer heat for low temperatures

I bought this because I love the style and it says runs small so I sized up and now I am swimming in the coat and they no longer have a smaller size!!! Very unhappy

I ordered up a size (xl) from normal (L) and it was still way small. Annoying since I had to wait a long time for it to arrive. I ordered 1x in hopes that it will give me the room without super long sleeves and the length in back. It seems like a warm coat so I would like it to work.

Handsome jacket but unwearable because of the overly small sleeve openings. The result was that the sleeves were uncomfortably tight in my armpit, even without a sweater underneath. I am average or below average weight for my height and do not have large arms/shoulders, so this is not a problem I have experienced before. Additionally, the sleeves were unusually long. I would have overlooked this, but couldn't live with the tightness through the shoulders.

I have the knee length version of this, so thought it would fit the same, but its unflattering on me. There's breast pockets that looks odd. Fits okay (Im 5'2, 188 lbs, got large), but boxy and unflattering on me. Returned it.

Pictures make coat look way better than it actually does. This coat is very heavy, big, and bulky. It would also be extremely helpful to put the degree of temperature at which the coat will keep you warm. With a sweater underneath you'll stay warm for a couple hours in 25 degree weather. The coat has a tail overhang but does not block cold air from coming in from underneath. The wrist cuff snap buttons get caught in hair. The coat is big but it allows for layering. You can cinch the waist but it looks odd, since the coat is so bulky. Definitely not a tapered fit. The hood is huge! The color is lighter than picturedI was hoping for a navy blue but it's a slightly dark blue. I will likely return, but seems like such a hassle!

Lackluster color and the arms were way too long. I sent it back. Probably nice for somebody who likes medium salmon pink color and has long arms.

Does not run small. Per the reviews I decided to size up to a medium but this jacket was way to big and I had to send it back.
