I bought these to skate in but ended up just wearing them all the time to school/work. The cushioning is SO comfortable. I could walk forever in these

I've been wearing Vans since the third grade! I truly love them. The introduction a few years ago to the Ultra Cush insole has really been a huge improvement. I still skate, mostly pools, and I really appreciate the extra protection and support of these insoles. The colors on this shoe is really great! I love the creativity that Vans has always represented.

Love the comfort thicker cushion but still can feel the flatness in your feet when riding ur skate board. Love the Blue ones I got but wish u had the white with light blue and Grey but they were sold out unfortunately.

Great shoes for the price. Getting many compliments. Unfortunately I take size 7. They only had size 7.5. I can make it work!

The skate Rowan's are nice, pretty plain but well made. So far they are comfortable but I have not skated in them. A nice basic black shoe with white contrast. #sweepstakes

I love Vans because they're simple, minimalist and flat, but the Rowan 's Pop Cush insole messes this formula up. The heel position makes things very uncomfortable and bad on the knees.i switched out the insole and turned it into a great show. #sweepstakes

I love Vans mainly because they are flat, minimalist and comfortable. The Rowan though loses something due to the Pop Cush insole, it throws off the feel of the shoe. #sweepstakes

I've bought the Rowans twice for my son (9 years old and skates 2 hours every day). The soles wear through too fast simply from shifting his foot around on the board for tricks. He doesn't drag his shoe to stop. He mostly skates vert and gets about 6 weeks out of the Rowans before the hole gets too bad. The soles of these don't seem to be any different than the non pro-model Vans non-"skate" specific Vans. That's disappointing because they're way more expensive. The shoe upper IS more durable than the cheaper Vans; it's the sole that's the problem.

So I love these shoes and after try in f the second model twice, I went back to these. Great board feel per usual and great flick and grip but, they are cutting the back of my heel on my push foot and they didn't do that before. It really hurts but mama ain't raise no punk so I just put a bandaid on it and keep using them.

The most comfortable vans I have ever owned and I have tried every variety. Been wearing them a few days a week for like a year and put a lot of miles on them and they are still looking pretty good. Marked down 1 star because I did have a delamination issue with the outsoles, but some super glue took care of it. I wish they offered more colors in this shoe.

Great shoe, if you have issues with your feet fitting into vulcanized skate shoes I would certainly give these a try. The materials on the inside are very forgiving and do not contribute to blisters like other brands. Break in period feels familiar every time allowing for confidence on your board out of the box.

Great skate shoe. Secure, stable and comfortable. But two “faults”. Half-size larger/longer than Grosso and Skate Sk8 Lo. Had to actually go down 1/2 size so it wouldn’t feel sloppy and I have wide feet. 9.5 in SSL and Grosso, 9 in Rowan.
It’s a hot shoe. Don’t know why they didn’t vent the forefoot.

I got these shoes at a vans store in SF. The shoes are great but the right shoe is missing the white eyelets where you put the laces. Poor quality control I guess. The shoe is still ok.

I use these as my everyday, something other than boots footwear. The collar was a bit stiff at first but a few miles in and that disappeared. The forefoot is thin underfoot but I know that is for skating feel. A nice insole solved that but then you lose the very comfortable heel portion of the insole they come with.

I have a high arch and a wide foot (at ball of toe) for context:
- Shoe fits fine for wide feet
- the inserts are sort of odd, with the support being on the outside of the shoe, rather than arch
- There is a spot, on the back left shoe, where the stitching meets, in that spot it pushes in on your ankle. I went for a 1mile walk and got a small spot on my ankle that rubbed raw (was bleeding).
- I won't return these, I will modify or break in to fix that last issue.
- Skating in these shoes for under a half hour has caused the design on the tongue of the right shoe to pull the thread out. That's odd to me since I can hardly do an ollie.

I bought a pair of shoes and received ones that were clearly used. There are visible footprints on the insoles. I was expecting a new product.

I like them. Not as comfy as my old school skates, feel loose kinda like the chukka once it's broken in. Look good in the black though. #sweepstakes

I've reviewed these shoes probably half a dozen times over the years. They were the first shoe to introduce the pop-cush (relabeled pro) insole, prior to the introduction of the skate series. I mustve owned 15-20 pairs of these shoes at least, since their introduction. The first version was the most comfortable. Uppers were softer. Ankle color was puffier and softer. Then they introduced the sewn on side stripe that was available on half the models. At this point, the shoe sizing was slightly longer (I liked this version because I was in between sizes before.) Up to the this point, the shoe was great for wider feet, comfortable and durable but the break in tool much longer than before. Up until recently this shoe had a pretty wide toe box, which is why I starting sticking with this shoe model. This recent version with these color ways shown above (all black with white stripe, black with gum foxing, etc.) are significantly narrower mid foot. Like, a lot narrower, to were this shoe no longer fits my foot and I can't even wear them the whole day at work. And to top it off, both shoes fit different. I ordered 3 pairs this last week and all are two narrow. I sent back two out of three because one of the pairs I had already started wearing.... It's a shame. I hope they get this sorted out, or it's time to move onto a different shoe
