I've been wearing these for years since I bought a pair for a mountain bike marathon. It was by far the best sock I ever wore and they last years before needing to be replaced. I only wear phd socks now and I will wear them for the rest of my life as long as they keep making them. The hike phd is far superior to any of the running socks. I use them all year for mtb, running hiking and lounging

I use these for daily trail walk and runs . I always wear Merino in winter and summer but it's hard to find ankle socks for summer.these are fantastic. Fit snug and do not slip and so comfy! Thank you Smartwool!! I bought my friend a pair and she loves them too.

high quality sock. Very comfortable. Fits like socks should meaning my foot is in the sock for warmth and comfort and is not squeezed into it with that "too tight" feeling.

The best thing about these socks is that gravel doesn't get into my shoes. They're cushiony and comfortable, but really hot in the summer. I still wear them because of the gravel barrier.

Once I discovered wool shortie socks I never need "moisture wicking" socks again. Wool is comfortable, warm in winter, not too warm in summer. Does not dry your feet the way moisture wicking socks do. I love the Smartwool brand and will gladly pay the price for them.
