These feel a lot longer than my previous size M ankle socks but I love wool and the amount of cushion.

These run slightly large if you're on the low end of the size range (I bought a size large and wear a 10 in sneakers). The light cushioning is too thick to comfortably wear these in shoes but are nice for walking around on cold floors.

Feet are warm, dry and comfy

So pretty, comfortable and high wool content. No slipping down my heel on my hikes. Will definitely be purchasing again.

5 stars for the socks, 0 stars for LL Bean. I used LL Bean's size chart for this item, which was wrong. I chose size medium based on LL Bean's online sizing chart, but when the socks arrived I see a totally different size chart. The LL Bean size chart is wrong, and thus the socks I ordered using the LL Bean size chart were too small. I returned them, presumably I will get a refund, but now I am out the cost of shipping and I do not have socks that fit. The socks are nice but don't fit due to wrong info provided by LL Bean about them. Please see attached pics of a screenshot of the size chart offered by LL Bean on its website and a pic of the size chart that came with the socks packaging.

nice feel of fabric, but sizing is not accurate

I prefer ankle socks to hike. These are very comfortable and size is perfect. They keep my feet dry and cool.

These are my absolute favorite low ankle socks! I love the cushion in the feet, the cut of the sock, and warmth. I do get a little sweaty in the by the end of the day though but it's not bad.

I have been using Smartwool socks primarily for hiking in the last 20 years, but have recently started shifting my day to day socks over from cotton to wool. I've purchased some other brands of wool socks from various retailers, but they never seem as comfortable. What I love about these socks is that they offer a little extra cushion on the bottom/heal/toes, and thinner on top. These socks increase my feet comfort ALL day long. From going into the office and traveling, I love them for everything. Any time I buy new shoes now, I only want to wear wool socks because then my shoes don't stink! Like taking my shoes off on the plane was a no-no before, but now I have the freedom and don't have to worry if I offend others. That's the joy of wool!!

I wish the brand name was printed on the socks in a more modest manner. Very comfortable socks. I generally love smart wool socks. I choose the gray on the top and purple on the bottom, but I wish there was a color choice that was a touch more feminine/lighthearted.

Bought these for my upcoming Camino pilgrimage. Smartwool socks are the best! Ample room for your toes! Plush cushioning wicks moisture and reduces friction! And they are stylish on top of all that!

Very comfortable with the sandals I cycle in. Warm enough for chilly start in the morning and not too warm later. Good cushioning and thick enough to keep out rail trail grit.

Love your socks! Cleaned out a whole drawer of Bombas (they shrink and then hurt my toes).
