Great socks for just about everything I do when wearing running shoes or just light weight shoes around the house. Warm and dry. I typically move up to calf height socks with my boots and above ankle hiking shoes.

I have purchased and used SMARTWOOL socks for decades, from stores, and know its reputation for quality, that is why I gave 5 STARS. As for your WEBSITE, I give it a 1-STAR RATING, only because you do not have a NEGATIVE RATING SYSTEM. I established an account with SW and began placing multiple number sock orders. Right from the start problems began. I had to wait each time for your system to edit my multiple sock order number. After paying and waiting a few days, I wanted to track my order. Signed into my account, only to find no record of my order. Call Customer Service and was told by an agent, SW is having website problems. I just signed into my account a few minutes ago, NOT TO MY SURPRISE, that there is still no record of a past purchase.

My son loves these socks. I got home one pair and the became his favorite, I had to order more for the start of the school year. They are the most durable sock I have purchased and he is active football, wrestling, and track.

I wear these Sox delivering Pepsi 10-13 hours a day and these keep my feet dry and comfy all day. They could have a little more cushioning but I will surely be buying them again.

The cushion was too warm and heavy but you don't have non cushion socks in extra large which is the size I need. Also, I received 3 to 4 e-mails per day advertising more socks which were annoying.

These socks are great! I can wear them multiple days in a row and they seem to be holding up. They did shrink slightly but they actually fit be better now. #sweepstakes

I really like these socks. As they are new it is hard to comment on long term viability. I am most hopeful based on my short term use that they will be just what I needed in a sock. I have purchased "bargain socks" many times only to be disappointed. I think Smartwool's reputation and my first impressions of my new socks will be worth the price.

This was my first Smartwool purchase and I was skeptical that this product would deliver. I am highly pleased with my purchase. These are a high-quality product. They deliver in all areas where they should. I wore them for the first time for 2.5 days with very minimal stink. I wore them for the second time and put in a 7ish mile day of walking/hiking. The cushion is just right, the moisture control is just right, and the temperature control is great.

Great socks. Usually go with Darn Tough, we'll see how they hold up comparatively.

I use them mostly for hiking. They are some of the most comfortable and cushioning socks I own. About to leave for Zion and Bryce National Parks followed by the Grand Canyon. Hope to put them to good use!

Let's face it Smartwool makes the best stuff! Just the right amount of cushioning in all the right places. Nothing you don't need and a nice selection of colorful patterns to choose from. Not only would I buy them again, I have before and I will again.

Would have loved to give this product 5/5 but the pair I received when I opened my package has a small hole in the stitching of the sock where my pinky toe is. I've never had any issue at all with my other Smartwool products so I suspect that this is just my bad luck and it must have torn during transit or some freak accident. Other than the small hole, the socks themselves are quite comfortable, warm and fit nicely and look great! I did a small hike and worn them throughout the course of a day and to my surprise, the hole didn't get bigger even after running them through the washer and dryer. I would definitely buy another pair (one without a hole in it). #SmartwoolLove

Quality has been getting worse. Have Smartwool socks from years ago that are still going. Have had to replace more recent purchases. Won't be buying again if these wear out even sooner.

Will never buy another brand of socks for hiking or distance walking. Great for heat and cold temps

Been buying the Phd light hikers for at least 10 years. Love them. Best socks ever. Wear them EVERY DAY unless I have to dress up fancy, am backpacking heavy, or I'll be outside for a while when it's below freezing. Only problem is they tear around the ankle after 1-2 years from the tension of pulling them on. Or maybe it's from rubbing against my shoes. Not a big deal either way. But as per usual, no company, even Smartwool apparently, seems to be able to leave well enough alone. You just had to make them worse. These new socks don't "hug" my arch and instep anymore. Seems possibly due to the extension of the "cushion" along the entire sole. Why do I need a big cushion on the arch of my foot? That doesn't bear my weight! Are these for flat footed people? If so, ok, make a flat footed edition like this and keep selling the older more awesome socks for the other 99.9999% of people. Or just for me. That's cool too. The discernible "hugging" around the arch and instep was one of my favorite things about the previous version. Ugh! If you have a pallet of the old version gathering dust in a warehouse that you want to part with for a reasonable price, hit me up. I like the brown ones and the black ones. Rough math says I'll need about 300 to last me until I'm dead, assuming nothing unexpected befalls me before I waste away otherwise naturally. This new edition just doesn't cut it. Big sad face. And a pox be upon the executive who decided to do this.
