Very comfortable and glad they have a wide edition and they fit true to size. The rubber has a lot of friction on rocks and the tread does the job in mud and snow. The cushion seems soft over the rocks when running. I hope to get over 200mi in them

2nd pairs purchased. Hope in the future Salomon provides different color options for the seasons. Black is not great for hot weather.

Bought them last minute before a 50k because SG5 was not working for me. Fit long and narrow I went half size down and size great. Overall just a good shoes nothing too exciting but no real drawbacks for me

I've been trail running in these, I'm 6'4" and my weight has been from 240 down to 200 lbs while running in these shoes. Great protection, comfortable for long distances, and quick and easy lacing.

The Ultra Glide was a very different experience from many of the other Salomon shoes I've owned in the past. The width is perfect, the cushioning is very reasonable compare with the weight. I bought a couple of these shoes for my friends.

Have been wearing Speedcross for years and recently changed to Ultra Glide for more comfort and hiking in less technical area. It has been wonderful wearing UG during my 6 day hike in the Foothills of S/N Carolina. The grip is still good although Speedcross is better but the overall comfort is definitely a strong point for the next purchase consideration.

This shoe is the one we can depend on for performance and reliability.

Not as light as my S-Lab Pulsars, but light enough. Perfect for the trails I run here in BC. Recommended.

I absolutely love this shoe. I typically run 55-90 mpw with roughly half of those miles on trails. Initially I found the shoes to not have enough cushion and favored more maximal shoes. The more I ran in the Ultra Glides, the more I realized how much I enjoyed my runs. I find them to have a bit of a rocker which, along with their light weight, has me wanting to run faster. I used these to race the Pike's Peak Ascent and the Sean O'Brien 100k. I planned for a shoe change in the 100k around mile 30-40 and never ended up needing it. It's the first of 5 100ks I've run in where I ended with no blisters or toenail bruising. I would wear these again for both races. Additionally I find them to be very grippy. They aren't the most grippy trailshoes I've tried but they are close. If I was forced to be critical I would say the lugs on the bottom wear out a little quickly. However, I'd rather they keep the weight low over a more durable outsole.

I have over bought over 10 pairs of these and have worn them each for 500+ miles through all types of terrain including a 5 day stage race and a 100k that had multiple water crossing and 14,000ft of steep trail - I never even re-tied them in the race and ended with no blisters , no foot pain, and all toenails intact

I've owned a lot of running and trail shoes. These are probably the best designed and built shoes to date. I run and hike for miles with no problems. The quality is superb. I also own Solomon tactical boots as well as running jacket which are also amazing.

After a couple of technical and snowy running, I really recommend Ultra Glide

I've had my Ultra Glides for about a month now and have worn them on a handful of trail runs. Overall I'm super impressed and happy with the shoe. I started buying Salomon exclusively for trail running about 2 years ago. I've had the Ultra Pro, Sense Ride and now the Ultra Glide. These are definitely the best overall so far. I really liked the Ultra Pro for the stability but what the Ultra Glide lacks in stability (only slightly compared to the Ultra Pros) it far exceeds in cushion and comfort. At 40 now, my knees and hips definitely appreciate the extra cush for the push up and down hills, the slightly less stable design is a fair trade off. I'd highly recommend these. For reference I wear these on medium to long runs averaging 8-10 miles on fairly mountainous/rocky terrain. Buy 'em

Seems like I always end up with a pair or two of Salomon athletic shoes after going through a bunch of other mfr's shoes and suffering as a result. When Salomon says 'Wide", they do mean wide. Aside from the wideness, my feet are particularly sensitive to any lumpiness in the sole (soul? :)) of the shoe as well as the smoothness of the interior of the shoe. Carelessly designed shoes have seams and ridges inside the shoe that rub against the skin and chaff it. This is not the case with the Salomon shoes I have had and this particular shoe has a fairly smooth interior. The Ultra Glide Wide and another Salomon pair I have had for a long time also have a firmer and smoother underfoot that is fairly comfortable and don't feel like walking or running on a bed of hard rubber points pushing up against the foot. I find this pair easier to walk and run in, about 4 miles everyday- than the other Salomon pair I have, but both of them are a far cry from any other mfr's pair of athletic shoes I have ever walked or run in. As the name suggests, one does sort of glide in this pair although not as much as I would like. Based on my experiences with Salomon shoes I have had and continue to use, Salomon shoes are also particularly durable, and this is no small feat. One Salomon pair I bought eight years ago is still going strong with some minor signs of wear and tear. Please continue to make durable, comfortable, and well-designed shoes Salomon, and thank you.

Received as a replacement for a pair of senseride4's - more comfortable on the road than the Senserides and pretty good on mud/loose terrain

This is my third pair of Salomon's in the past 6 months. I started with a pair of hiking boots that felt amazing when I put them on and feel just as amazing every time I get into them. I then wanted to try a running shoe to see if I got the same feel and support, I did very much so in the Ultra Glide. I'm a difficult fit as far is lateral support and these are amazing!

thsi is my 2nd pair of the ultra glide... i like them a lot. i bought this pair shoes a few weeks back and jhave already run two 20+ miles trail races in them already. with all the rain i've had to run through knee deep creeks and up & down muddy trails.. tracking is excellent, great comfort and cushioning.. i only wish they were self cleaning joking of course)

These were a Christmas gift for my son. He loves them

Own multiple pair of this shoe. Very comfortable for multiple uses. Used this shoe for the run portion of a sprint tri and during training brick workouts. I appreciate the substantialness of the upper heel and collar making it easy to transition into from the bike and ran the 5k after the swim and bike in 20:02. I also now use this shoe for trailrunning/hiking/fastpacking overtaking my Sense Rides.

I've been running in these for a couple months. I'm previously a Hoka fan but was not happy with Hoka durability and heel wearing out. These have been an easy switch and great on road, gravel, and trails. I love the zip up laces and the padded tongue. Great shoe!

These shoes have been great from my first run in them! Really light yet stable feel under foot. I run in these shoes on road and trail and they feel good on any surface.

I bought these for my first 50k trail run in Bryce Canyon UT and absolutely love them! The laces are super easy to get a perfect fit. The sole is very grippy and provides plenty of protection. The fit for my foot couldn't be better.

This is my go to trail shoe. Great toe box and very comfortable and last a longtime. Good grip in all the terrain
