This is the everything shoe! First the fit, super dialed in - ultra comfortable - with all the toe room you expect in an ultra distance shoe. The heel and mid-foot provide uncompromising security for varied terrain. It rolls on the pavement smoothly which is a huge bonus if like me you do a lot of door to trail runs. It is exceptionally stable for a high stack trail shoe and consider it class leading. Amazing Grip! All day comfort and then some!

This shoe is the most comfortable shoe I have run in. I raced a 100-miles (160km) in them a few months back and the comfort of the shoe was the same at the start and the finish. It handles non-technical trails really well, and I am really impressed with how the Glides handle technical trails - they have a good balance of both support and flexibility on technical trails. Currently the Ultra Glides are my go to shoes for most of my running - from 10km's to 100 mile races.

13 miles out of the box on the technical Ozark Trail and the cushion kept my feet feeling great the whole time. This shoe has performed great in long slow efforts and in a short 4 mile trail race as well. Super responsive with great grip and stability. It is my new go to all around shoe and expect to be wearing it on most of my ultra races as well.

You will hear lots about how comfortable this shoe is and other nice aspects about it. Those things are true. But I am writing this review because this has a few flaws that really stand out and I hope are addressed in a future version. First thing is the outsole wears incredibly fast, especially compared to other Salomon shoes. Since they all use contagrip this seems like a pretty glaring flaw. For some odd reason they steered away from using a tried and true compound such as used on the Salomon Sense Ride where there are no issues with early tread wear. My pair started showing a decent amount of wear after the first run, which featured almost no rock and a small section of paved path, the rest was just dirt. Second issue I have with this shoe is likely to be experienced by only some people unlike the outsole wear which will affect everyone more or less the same. Though for me it makes the shoe nearly unusable and that is that the top most eyelet rubs against my ankle bone, made all the worse that I have a vein right on that part of my ankle. This caused me some pretty bad pain during a 20 miler and it was sore for nearly a week after. So much for an all day shoe. The fact that I have been running in Salomon shoes for nearly 2 decades and never encountered this before makes this stand out as a major flaw. Not sure if its the 'road last' or what changed and why this eyelet sits so far back compared to other Salomon shoes, I compared other models and it is significant. My plan is to cut the laces and make a new hole to try to work around it. But this means I'll likely never buy another pair of these again when I otherwise would likely buy many pairs of them, they are that good otherwise.

I was a Salewa brand lover, until I took A chance on a pair of Speed Cross which I used as my primary golf shoes. I was so impressed with those I decided to try the UltraGlide, and i have been hooked since. I walk about 20-to-25 miles per week and these shoes are by far the most comfortable pair of walking shoes I have ever tried. Since then I have oredered four pair of UltraGlide , I also ordered a pair for my sister who is 80, and walks circles around me, and after she tried them, she ordered 2-more. Now my brother is also wearing them. Since my first pair of shoes I now have 6 to seven different sets of Solomon. Some not as good as others, but them Ultra Glide is in another league. I do everything with these shoes, I use them for walking, golfing, lifting weights and going to work, and my feet never felt so good. I only wish you guys would actually make a pair of golf shoes, because I golf 2 to 3 times a week, and between the all the different activities I wear them out quickly.

The UltraGlide shoe is very comfortable and remarkably light for all the features. The quick lace system and shoelace garage work extremely well. The sole has excellent traction for the dry conditions I run in. This is my go to shoe on training day and race day.

I bought my Ultra Glides about a month ago and I am very satisfied. I was looking for a step up from a normal running shoe but I didn't need a mountain shoe either. The Glide is giving me the additional support that I was looking for.

Bought these over a month ago, to replace a pair of cheap Add**as. I get much better support and appreciate the sturdiness of the Salomon's.

I've had these a little over a month. They are lightweight and super comfortable. I got three more pairs.

No shoe in its class is as comfortable and long lasting as this Salomon. By far my favorite Brand for sneakers and boots!

I purchased a pair of Ultra Glides about a month ago and they are great! Got an awesome deal as they were a previous model.( Purchased them as an extra pair.) I ran my first 50km run in a pair of Ultra Glide 2's a few months ago and my feet felt great afterwards They fit my feet better than any other shoe I have ever had The Ultra Glides feel greatbut, the Ultra Glide 2's feel even better. There is improved comfort with the tongue of the shoe I find. I highly recommend these shoes! Don't take my word for it. Go put your feet in some Ultra Glides!! I am a 37 year old male. I weigh 195 lbs and have size 12 feet. Just sayin.

Ultra Glide is a great comfortable trail shoe. Nice cushion with excellent fit and still enough ground feel to be aware of where your feet are. Cool colors too.

I love Salomon. These shoes are great. They fit great. They perform perfectly.

I bought these shoes specifically to run on Forest Roads in the WA mountains. They are perfect for the mixed terrain and uneven traction. They are definitely in my shoe rotation now!

Haven't put too many miles on them yet, but I am enjoying the smooth ride in them so far.

These shoes are light and comfortable. I particularly like the quicklace system that Salomon uses on these shoes....so much easier than tying shoes!

Bought these shoes a couple weeks ago and have worn them a lot. These shoe are the best build quality shoes I have owned. They make you feel more sturdy but are comfortable as well. That seems hard to pull off but they did it.

I have 3 pairs of ultra glides. I use them on trails. They have great support for rocky terrain.

Ran a half marathon in these shoes, they were brilliant. Highly recommended

Fit to size normal... not as snug in the forefoot as speedcross and I like the room. Great all round shoe. Excellent on trails, not as grippy as speedcross but the cushion is a good trade off. Wearing a pair in training now... and I bought 2 (two) extra pair, I like them that much.
