Great fit. Love the extra heel cushion

Stretchier than the original. Very comfy.

I wear these daily from October to May in Seattle. They're warm, but being wool they don't cook your feet in warmer temps. I can wear them biking to work in the fall/winter and leave them on all day in the office. It's why I wear wool shirts as well.

The best for keeping your feet warm

Hands down my favorite style of sock. Smartwool hiking socks are of such high quality, they're worth mending when the ball and heel wear down (took my last pair two years of heavy wear to get there, the rest of the sock is still in near perfect condition). I love how the full cushion of this style keeps my ankles cozy and feeling stable in my boots. Perfect for winter wear or for folks who benefit from a more secure feeling sock. If you are looking for a great full cushion sock I can really recommend these socks. I've used them around the house, hiking, and flyfishing. The fit is great, my foot is 11.5 and I went with the size large. I typically wear a slightly thinner sock but found these to be really comfortable especially when wading in the river. #smartwoollove

Great socks! They're super comfy and support my feet without being too thick that they make my boots too tight. Plus they look wicked cool. Customer service was fantastic as well.

Purchased three pair of the Hike Classic Edition Full Cushion Crew Socks for a ten day, 125 mile, backpacking trek on the Appalachian Trail. Never did less than eleven miles per day and did one twenty mile day. Hiking was through the famously rocky section of the trail in Pennsylvania a graveyard for hiking boots and trail shoes. The socks were awesome. My hiking boots and liner socks (another brand) showed serious wear, but the Smartwool hikers were outstanding and offered blister-free, cushioned comfort despite days of use in rain, 90+ degree heat, and rocks, rocks, rocks. Highly recommended.
