It's solidly warm and cozy. Not at all too thick but it's thick. The pockets are lined which is nice (but it doesn't have inside pockets). The hood works although it doesn't have an adjustment (unles you have a hoodie etc on, it can fall with high wind).

I love this Hydrenalite jacket! It's soft, comfortable, & looks great! I wear this piece between 38 degrees F & 55 degrees F. Rain bounces off & it shields from wind.

Sons have to walk in very cold and snowy weather and this jacket keeps them warm and dry!
