XL Fits perfect for 6'4" slim build with some room to spare. It's a nice shade of gray, not too light and dark

I was delayed in getting this parka, so have only used it for a few days. I am delighted with the warmth and feel of this coat. One of the first places I used it was at one of the colder hockey rinks in NY state. While everyone else was shivering in the rink, I was toasty warm and comfortable. I wish my boots were as well constructed. This is a wonderful addition to my winter wardrobe!!

The warmest winter parka I've ever owned. I researched every high end brand online and this is hands down the best value in winter parkas. If you don't mind the boxy style this jacket is the best deal around. The faux fur keeps the wind and snow out of your face. The velcro might seem lower end than other jacket's hardware but it's easy to seal and does a better job at keeping the elements out. Everything seems very durable and well made. PLENTY of pockets. Comes down low enough to cover your behind. The downsides? I wish the hand warming pockets were better located: they're placed too high up to comfortably keep your hands in. However it's no big deal because I usually wear winter gloves anyway. I also wish the fur wasn't as easy to remove as it got detached by mistake a couple of times. That said it's super easy to put it back on so no biggie either. Lastly I wish there was a way to cinch the bottom so cold air wouldn't creep up but that's not a big concern either. Do make sure to size down because it sizes very big. I normally wear medium and am glad I ordered a small. Even the small fits me a bit loosely, which is fine for layering.

Use my parka for almost every day use. Very warm and comfortable to wear. If temperatures get too warm the parka can be somewhat too warm.

Great jacket. Keeps you plenty warm on cold days, even with just a t-shirt underneath. Note the classic fit as this jacket isnt fitted. I wish there was a waistline drawstring of sorts but still a solid jacket overall.

Very warm. I like that it's a little longer past the waste, but not overly lengthy. Enough space/comfort to wear a hoodie or extra layers underneath. Lots of pockets. Great value

This jacket is perfect! I love the length because when I lift my arms my belly doesn't stick out! It's roomy and warm as heck. Love the fur on the hood too.

Very warm, very comfortable. Well made. I wish it didn't have so many highly visible North Face' logos, but I other than that.... perfect.

Just perfect

This is hands down, THE MOST versatile jacket I have ever owned. Once the temperature is below 60 degrees this jacket has utility. It keeps me worm into the single digits. I use this jacket for lounging on my porch, driving, and hiking. I list all these activities because I normally cannot wear one jacket to do all those things. It is comfortable and never feels as though it bunches or restricts my movement. Over all, the jacket is worth the money and I could not be happier.

I only wear t shirts. Even on a 20 degree day I wear a t shirt. This jacket keeps me very warm. I don't have to use the car's heater on high anymore. Pockets are everywhere and deep. Plenty of room for my fat wallet, cellphone and car keys. That's just in one pocket. Bulky gloves and a winter hat in the other. It was stiff at first but once broken in, it was a lot easier to move. The jacket is on the bulky side and being a parka it reaches down below my waist. I don't mind. I have worn it now through heavy wind (50+ m.p.h.), heavy rain and heavy snow. I was warm and stayed dry. The construction of the jacket is strong and the fabric is smooth, but tough. This is my first Mcmurdo Parka and I expect it to last years with everyday use 7 or 8 months of the year. Only thing I could recommend is an adjustable cord to tighten or loosen around the bottom of the jacket.

Great coat. Very warm. Bought this coat for my son for Christmas. I would say it runs big. I have been buying north face for 20 years. I think they are extremely expensive. I can only afford this brand on sale. Grateful for sale prices and discounts.

Are use this jacket in Iceland traveling the south coast, and it kept me dry and warm and comfortable through the harsh winds rain snow, and whatever elements were thrown at me.

This coat was bought as a gift. After exchanging it for a proper size, the reviews I've gotten since that time is how warm and comfortable the coat is. It is used for everyday use during Chicago winter time. So far so good as far as durability.
