I liked the fit of the jacket but for the price I'm not happy with my purchase. I cannot wear it with a dark sweater because it looses so many feathers

i liked it thats why i bought it. after i wore one time there is so many white things coming off from the jacket.

Received this as a gift, and sadly I hate it. The snaps that attach the hood to the jacket are so cheap and flimsy that every time I pull the hood up it unsnaps and falls off. Moreover, for the price point, this jacket is lacking thoughtful touches such as fleece lined pockets or cuffs. It really just feels like I'm wearing a bunch of plastic.

very disappointed always been a fan of North Face but after spending over 300 on a coat that all the branding is coming off is a huge let down

Poor design on the hood. It always rips off. The colour doesn't look like a true black. I was so excited to buy this jacket and I never wear it because of the hood. Much better options out there for this price point!

I was really sad I bought this full price. My zipper gets stuck a lot and sometimes I have a hard time pulling it up in general. I have a had to brave the cold with my jacket open because my zipper wouldn't zip up. The hood consistently snaps off because of the cheap plastic snaps. This jacket isn't also very warm. The only thing it has is it's kind that of stylish. I would not recommend and this has given me a bad image of northface as a whole.

This metropolis coat is NOT warm enough for NYC winter. The feathers are coming out and I'm only 3 months in. The worst part is that it gathers water stains if you walk in the rain for a short amount of time. Yes, it's light weight but this disappointing product is more for a Southern California "Winter".

Cheap, plastic zippers and snaps on the hoods. Not warm, weird fit. Zero customer service. Will never buy a north face product again.

My last metropolis parka was way better. Better more feminine fit, detachable hood and snap buttons as well as zippers. Bring back the old design!

Horrible design as far as the hood is concerned. At every possibile opportunity, it comes unsnapped. The North Face would not let me return it as it was past the "window". This was a gift... wtheck?!

Purchased for a Christmas gift. Daughter wore it twice and found a seam was not sewn shut which led to feathers falling out of the coat. Product is defective and North Face will not exchange for a new coat! I have to ship back and wait a *minimum* of 8 weeks for them to repair! Horrible customer service and will not buy from this company ever again.

I'm sorry - if I don't wear a full length sweater underneath - I'm cold. Not what I bargained for. My return to your product was because I previously bought a tri-climate coat and was super impressed. I wanted to buy that product again but couldn't find it. Thus, I settled for this - but I don't like feeling cold.

Sorry that the coat I purchased for my daughter in law for Christmas did not work. She is tiny and has other North Face coats which are sized XS. This coat would not fit even if she had no clothes on under it . I have returned and will look for a refund to my card.

It took over 3 weeks to get a refund. Jacket was poor quality and thin.

The old version of this jacket was fabulous. Now they've put a small hem mid waist which is unflattering. Really sad that they don't make the old one any longer. The sizing is different also. This fits a little smaller than the old version. I really hope they bring the other version back!

I have owned this style jacket for 10 yearsthis one has plastic snaps to hold hood on that DO NOT hold! A wind blows it off, you cannot hang it or hold it by hood.

Great jacket but after washing it has been terrible.

I am a big fan of North Face. I bought the Metropolis parka and was excited when it was delivered. The logo looks like it was ironed on. The zipper is cheap and doesn't easily zip. Poor quality and not what I've always received from North Face.

Returned this item. Strange and unflattering cut.

I bought it and returned immediately. It's super bulky and shapeless

Jacket is nothing like the old version. The clasps are plastic and there is no zipper protection like last versions. The quality so pathetic. I cannot hang my jacket without the hood falling off.

After waiting 3 weeks for this coat, I found out it never left the building. I asked for a refund.

I loved the old Metropolis Parka from a few years ago. I ordered the most recent model to upgrade as the down in my coat is wearing away. This model is terrible. The cinched waist is way too high and positioned weirdlymaking it extremely uncomfortable. It's also much thinner and more flimsy than the previous model. It doesn't seem like it would be warm enough for the severe Chicago winters where I live. Sadly I have to return it. Please bring back the older model from a few years ago.
