Really wanted the version 4, but no longer made. I didn't like the feel of v 5 and the tongue is huge!

This is an excellent walking shoe. Great for people who are on their feet all day. This is NOT an excellent shoe to run in. My running dropped 63% the first week I wore these. They are heavy and clunky. My feet hurt with every stride. All I could think about during my run was how much my feet hurt. I literally dreaded running after buying these. This, imo, is the worst running shoe, ever.

My feet were absolutely killing me and I desperately needed these shoes. Had been calling customer service and the shoe store near me. Finally customer service found one pair on line and walked me through purchasing it. They arrive two days later. In the meant8m3 I called the store yup they had so I asked for ALL that they had to be put away. Went in later ONLY two pairs of the same color so I took them. Decided to call the other store in town who Carrie's this shoe and he said no, but I'll call u when they come in. Great. As the other store wouldn't do that. Couple days later the shoes in the black came in and so I bought them. I am set for a couple of years I hope in case new balance has difficulty once again manufacturing them. All in all happy I got my shoes at long last

I had been wearing an 840 previously and wanted the same shoes when they wore out. But the new ones were binding on the sides and top of my feet. The only thing I could see is they had been redesigned with a plastic strip over the top of the foot. I had to return them. Went back to the 860s.

Normal every day wear. I have had these about a week. They did help with my hip pain but the tongue will not stay straight, always goes to one side. For me not worth the money I paid, very overrated. Will not purchase again.

Bottom is too soft, not enough support, I wasted a good amount of money.....

I like the shoe design, but it is too heavy makes my legs ache. New balance use to make great shoes but now they're uncomfortable to me . I need shoes I can work in.

The shoe fits overall, but returning because the back of the shoe is so low it feels like it is falling off.

I tried a new model. I've been wearing 880 v8. I'll have to go back to them.

Very disappointed, I have been wearing all the different 840 for many years. The V5is the worst, uncomfortable the tongue balky. I return it, unfortunately I have several autoimmune diseases, have to find another style or brand. Please return to the previous style!
