Love the shoes. Buyers should know that GoreTex is great but it makes these shoes wear hot in the summer

Shoes worked great. Bought these because I love my Merrell boots so much but wanted something a little lighter weight. Very happy with them.

Really like this hiker. Kept me dry and comfortable on a camping trip where is did pour out one of the days. It does run roomy though. I am an 8.5 in shoes and almost always a 9 in Merrell sneakers, so I ordered the 9 but they were a bit loose/wide. I wore them anyways and they were fine with heavier socks.

Amazing shoes but the gortex on the top is slowly detaching from the shoes.. might contact customer service. But otherwise I recommend them! They are comfy, feel like you wear 4wd shoes. Walk 6+km with them and they are still comfy afterwards. I suggest to size a .5 up since they are on the smaller size. I'm happy that another customer mentioned this in her review and that I have followed her suggestions. It's on point! I'm usually a 7.5 with Merrell and bought a 8 and they fit perfectly!

I bought these after wearing the non-waterproof version for several months. The Gore-tex version has a stiffer sole, and fits differently than than non-waterproof shoes. I have worn the shoes on heavy rain, and wet snow and my feet stayed completely dry.
Fit: the wide width in this shoe is narrower than the other version, which is actually better for me because my foot measures a C width, which is nearly impossible to find these days. Also, they are a bit wide at the heel, so it slips slightly, but not enough to cause blisters.
Stiffness: the sole is much stiffer than the non Gortex version. This has good and not so good effects. Good - better protection from rocky and bumpy ground. Not so good: marginal flexibility on pavement
Style: The collar of the shoe sits lower than the non-Gortex version, which suits me because the non irritate my ankles. The gusseted tongue is a vast improvement over the other version - it stays in place and keeps out debris as well as rain.

Bought these for shallow snow and ice walking. So far so good. I will say, the toe box in one of shoes feels borderline too tight and uncomfortable - which is unusual for Merrills and my narrow feet.

This is my 4th pair of Merrell's. They are very light and waterproof! But, one of the shoes rubs the side of my footnot enough to cause blisters, just enough to annoy. I have to make sure the tongue is in the perfect place and laced well for me to achieve the comfort I want. The grip is fantastic. I have hiked approximately 9 miles in them and hoping to break them in well enough for an upcoming El Camino pilgrimage.

Took to Portugal. Lots of walking every day. Comfortable. Kept my feet dry on rainy days. Sizing runs a little small.

I liked the look of this shoe, but the forefoot was too voluminous for me....And I have "normal" sized foot. Otherwise it was fairly comfortable, but just "puckered" too much when I tightened the laces to fit.

I love the colors and the support feels great, but the overall length came up short. My toes hit the front of the shoe. I wear a solid 6.5 in Merrell and would need a 7. Sadly, sold out!

Nice looking shoe, fits just slightly narrower but not enough to order a different size.

These hikers fit big! I sized 1/2 down but still have lots of room. Not as comfortable as other Merrells I've had.

Bought these to hike the Samaria Gorge in Greece. Very stable on the rough terrain and waterproof kept my feet dry crossing the river beds. I would give it 5-stars if it weren't for the rubber part by the tip of the shoes are already pulling away. I hope I can exchange them since I've only used them on two hikes.

This is my second pair of Merrells. I love the gortex and having dry feet! Took these to Yellowstone river and park! Great grip when you are climbing around on rocks.

These are okay, they could be a bit more comfortable (ridged) but they are light. The have a tendency to sort of roll over muddy areas and small twigs, so that could cause some people to slip. So the grip factor is just okay, not great. But they aren't totally waterproof. If you are stepping into a small puddle you are fine but if its raining the top takes in water, so a hike that included passing a small creek or something, they would fail, 100%. They should only be advertised as water resistant. :(

I bought this shoe recently and was surprised that the shoe was shorter and not wide enough. I always buy a 7.5 Wide! I usually open the box and they fit perfectly.

They speed goretex gets the job done. They keep my dry and can handle the roughness of the terrain I purchased them for. I walk a minimum of 8 miles a day for my job and so far have tested the shoes to all weather conditions. However, there is a few things holding me back from a five star rating.
No arch support, the weight of the shoe and the way the shoe cuts to far below my ankle. I am confident the shoe will keep me protected but It doesn't feel like a natural fit for me. This is my third pair of Merrell I've purchased in my lifetime and all merrells seem to have this issue for me.

Great looking shoe but they hurt my feet. Sadly had to replace them with the Antora's. I only wear Merrell's. These are the first pair I could not wear.

I have something weird . One foot is bigger than the other.
The other Merrill's are not wideThey fit fantastic .
These do not fit well. Too tight for both feet . Too short on my left foot ( near the big toes)
I love merrell', and have waterproof shoes . Wear them every day . That are not wide

I read the note where Merrell says these run small and ordered a half size up. I should not have - these are huge and cannot run big as Merrell says. They were final sale and now I cannot exchange or return. So disappointed.

These are huge! I tried inserts - anything I can think of and they are still too big. Wore one day so I can't return.

I just purchased these shoes to wear when I walk my dogs in the early mornings when grass is wet. I am not walking through streams or mud or puddles.
The shoes are very comfortable, good traction. However I am giving these shoes a low rating because they are not waterproof. Wet socks in the toe box after 1-hr walking in wet grass.

This is the first pair of Merrill's that I don't care for. I got the same size I always get but these are too wide and boxy a bit like clown shoes.

Purchased these shoes 6 months ago, and was at first happy with how they are. Like others are saying there is no rubbing, they're comfortable, waterproof and durable. But I am not happy with the rate of wear with the sole. For the price of the shoe I would expect to get more than 6 months worth of wear. This doesn't even include daily use as 3-4 of those months were snow and rain living in Canada. I'm just your average walker, no rough terrain, or crazy running and sports.
