Seriously, buy these shoes. I read every review and carefully considered everything when making this purchase. I did go half a size up as I wear thick socks when hiking. I noticed my right heel slipping up slightly as other reviews mentioned so I adjusted the laces and went all the way back to the last lace hole which seemed to fix that feeling. I tested these out on a weekend hike on the Appalachian Trail where my entire body ached except my feet ! These shoes have excellent grip over slippery rocks, they were comfortable the entire time. At the end of the first day it started pouring rain about 10 minutes before our destination and my socks were completely dry when we stopped for the day. These shoes met every expectation I had. I'll definitely purchase again.

I have 2 pairs of these and planning to get a 3rd. LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM! Comfortable, supportive, waterproof....great for any outdoor activity, exploring European cities on those rough cobblestone streets, or doing a cardio class in the gym. I have had my first pair for about a year now and they still look great. I have foot issues including plantar's fasciitis, so I do swap out the Merrell insole for a more heavy duty athletic orthotic insole. Highly recommend these shoes!

Only got 8 miles on them, but my feet feel good just putting them on. I did add a custom insole

I bought it couple of months ago and first time i use for 20 km hiking. Its great confy and no blisters at all. Love it

Love them so far. Very comfortable right out of the box and I got the same size I always wear. Walking in the woods I went to the top of the shoe in muck and my socks stayed dry. I walk in wet grass most mornings and stay dry too. One heel slips a little but lacing helps that. I have narrow heels anyway.

I played two full days of disc golf in these shoes in rain AND snow, and obviously mud, and my feet stayed comfortable and dry the whole time. I am so happy to have such functional AND cute outdoor shoes. Highly recommend.

They are very comfortable (as most of my Merells are) and I'm looking forward to hiking around Ireland with them!

Bought these specifically for a hiking trip to the Yorkshire Dales and Welsh coast. I wanted something lighter and less bulky to pack than my usual mid-height hikers. A little stiff and tight at first but comfortable after a few "break in" hikes at home. Keep my feet dry in rain, slop, and shallow stream crossings. Sure-footed whether on wet grass, bare rock, or scree. These are my go-to hikers now for everything from multi-day backpacks in the Adirondacks to jaunts on my local trails. I like that I can slog through mud in these and they'll clean up easily after. The more I've used these, the more comfortable they've become. Only complaint is that the laces are ridiculously long.

Im a mail carrier. I bought these shoes several months ago for the usual, wet, miserable fall in pennsylvania. I didnt really get to test them out well over the fall. Today was the day though. Torrential flooding everywhere. Every part of my body is soaked... except my feet. They're as dry as can be. Ive bought MANY "waterproof" shoes over the years. All were disappointing to say the least. These are the ones. They're honest to god water PROOF. Not water resistant, WATER PROOF!! try them. Youll love them.

These shoes kept my feet quite warm on a chilly day and very comfortable to walk in. Haven't taken them on a long rocky hike yet but feel confident that I'll have no problems. I have a wide foot and it is comfortable so far. Very happy with my purchase.

These shoes are great for winter walking around the neighborhood. They keep my feet warm and dry when the sidewalks are wet. This summer, they will take me hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Originally ordered my usual size 6, which were too tight & narrow. Exchanged for a 6.5, perfect fit. So I say, runs small. Also nice having a little extra wiggle room for a thick sock. Comfortable straight out the box. Wore all day for my job (USPS Letter Carrier) walking 10 miles, no blisters, or soreness. This past week a couple days with rain, dry feet all day. I love the support they give me. Thick heel provides added cushioning. Probably not for someone who needs high arch support as I'd rate the arch in between medium to none. Went to buy another pair and was out of stock. Will be purchasing another when they are available. I imagine they'd be a great option for on the trail too, however personally I prefer a boot when hiking.

So comfortable & waterproof - I've worn them so often I decided to order a 2nd pair in a different colour way!

I bought these shoes for a trip to Ireland and Scotland, and wow - they absolutely kept my feet dry... and it rained EVERY single day for 10 days running. Oh, there was a bit of glorious sun every now and again, and rainbows galore... but lots and lots of pouring rain. If you want dry feet that stay comfy even in horrendous downpour on a hike up Arthur's Seat... well, these are your shoes!

Super comfortable, i feel like i am wearing slippers. Great grip and the water beads right off.

I brought these a week ago and they are great right out the box. Very well made, good support and a terrific walking shoe. Good quality and worth the monies. Definitely getting another pair in blue.

I bought these shoes for our trip to Ireland! They are amazing. I wore them everyday. We walked over 60 miles while we were visiting and my feet were never sore. And they're stylish--the blue color is not too blue.

I took my Merrells to Sam Antonio and did the Riverwalk!

I wear these everywhere in daily life. I had a lot of foot pain before I switched to wearing mainly Merrell shoes, then a friend took me to an outlet a couple of years ago. Within a few weeks things improved. Those original shoes are still wearable but I wanted a color and style update. These are comfortable and give good support.
