I really wanted to love these shoes. They are cute to wear. Unfortunately, the stiff leather combined with not-so-roomy area for my toes made the shoes uncomfortable very quickly. I tried to wear them for a while on three separate occassions and after about an hour of use, I just had to take them off. Sadly, I will have to return them.

These were a bit tight & short for a 5.5. They are so cute though. I needed more ball-of-the foot cushioning in order to handle the 2" heel so I had to return them, sadly.

These booties are so very stylish. Have gotten numerous compliments on them. They appear to be hiking boots but are perfectly suited for casual Fridays. I love them.

Super cute, and comfy on the first day--I wore with thick socks, but that's what I will always do given the style. I measure a 10.5, but sometimes wear a 10, and sometimes an 11. I ordered an 11 given other reviews, but the 10.5 would have been fine. I have narrow feet, so they fit (and look) perfectly; I think that they may be somewhat narrow for someone with a wider foot. I have not tested the 'waterproof' part in bad weather yet, but I'll be wearing them a lot, so I'm sure we'll find out soon enough!

I absolutely love this boot!! I used to wear a narrow show but since a foot surgery I've been leaning toward a medium width. These feel perfect and were wonderfully comfortable right out of the box! This was my first experience with Merrill and I'll be looking at them more closely now that I know how comfortable they are!

I want to thank Zappos for taking care of their customers. I had ordered 2 pairs of boots and when told they we’re delivered found out they were not here at my home anywhere. I called Zappos customer service line and they looked into the situation. They apologize and said they would send the new order right away. And they did. I got the boots finally. Thanks again for following through on your customer service! You rock.! And I’m happy with my new Merrell boots!

These are really nice boots. The heel is not too high and they are very comfortable and very stylish. I love them. This is my third pair of Merrell booties. The first pair were in a similar style and I loved them so much that I bought a pair in this style. Then I loved this style so much that I bought a second pair in a different color. They are perfect for leggings and for jeans. I highly recommend these.

Really like the looks of these leather boots. I have bought the Shiloh tie-up boot in the past. And loved them! Still going strong at 5 yrs. although had to replace the bottom of the heel because of wear. Always wanted black so I ordered this newer version. Length is good for my normally size 11 foot. If a big on the larger size, like maybe even a half size up. But the width is a bit snug and I almost always wear a med. width. The strap across the foot is kinda in the way of lacing up the boot, its just for looks. But once tied, you can leave alone because of the zipper. To me just seems like a lot of bells and whistles for no reason. I am thinking they may stretch out in width to work for me. Hoping, if I keep them, that will happen. Nice, well crafted like most Merrells, have soft leather construction, water proof and rubber souls which I wanted! Good price on sale!

I kept these boots despite doubts. They are super cute and Merrill makes a quality product. But these boots are really complicated to put on. They were quite snug so I loosened the laces at bottom which helped, but the buckles are hard to reach and an awkward addition. It would have been nicer with a fixed buckle and Velcro anchor. Please don't think you can just use the zipper once everything is set...not if you wear socks. Unless I want my toes wadded up I have to do the whole unbuckle-loosen laces-insert foot-tighten laces-rebuckle every time. The zipper does help you take them off though. Truly waterproof and truly cute I'm keeping them but hoping for a simpler lace-up design next season.
