My skinny calf leaves too much room for the boot to move around when I walk
Otherwise, nice quality

I ordered 4 pairs to try out and I am keeping these and the Baffin Chloe. These have less insulation and a quicker on/off with the side zipper for quick trips to town; pant legs will fit on the outside. The Baffins will be for colder temps, longer expeditions, snowshoeing, etc. Because there are no laces, these have a looser fit, but despite that, I don't feel any slipping. I wear a 10-10.5 and the 10.5 was a good fit for me. I haven't worn these outside yet.
I'd also recommend:

These boots look nice & seem to be well made. I have no idea about the fit because I could not get my feet in these boots. I ordered my usual size, but these were a no go for me.

Good looking boot wish they had fit but even buying a full size larger they were narrow and slightly tight.

Tried these but as other reviews mentioned they don’t have 200g insulation as listed - it’s only 100. Not as warm as I needed.

Like the style. Initially they felt more tight than I’d expect for an 8.5. Still on the fence whether to keep them.
The big issue is that these have 100g not 200g insulation so they won’t be as warm as I’d hoped

They are only 100 grams insulation, not 200 grams as listed. They are still great boots and zipper is great for easy on and off. I sized up 1/2 size to accommodate thick wool socks like I normally do with winter boots.

Way Too Big! Was not able to get a smaller size.

I decided to keep these boots only because they are comfortable (and I have a hard to fit foot due to past surgery). But for that, I would have returned them. These boots are not at all the quality I was expecting from Merrill. The tread is decent, but not great. The "faux fur and fleece lining" is a joke (and borders on being a misrepresentation). The appearance is cheap and "rubbery looking".

I like the boot but the right boot squeaks really loud.

I bought these to replace my old snow boots from another brand. These boots are comfortable and certainly stylish, but they aren't very warm. I haven't worn them in snow yet, but I wore them on a nature trail that had some damp leaves. The temperature was around 40 and my feet felt cold and damp. I might as well have been wearing sneakers. I gave them 3 stars for appearance and comfort, but if you're looking for warm winter boots keep looking.

I bought these boots at the end of the season in March but didn't get a chance to wear them until we got our first snow yesterday. They are comfortable and very nice looking boots, however, I found them to be quite slippery. At my age, I can't have boots that I don't feel confident in when in snow. It says nothing about having a good tread in the details, so I guess I can't complain. Sad though, with a good name like Merrell.

They keep my feet dry. They do not keep my feet warm. They fit great. I should have got a half size bigger for more socks or insulators

Seem like good quality boots but I'll be returning as they run a half to full size too large for me. I ordered the same size I normally do with Merrell so not sure what the difference is.

Comfortable but not a lot of support. Also the black lining leaves black dye all over my tucked in pants legs. Not real happy about that.

These boots do seem waterproof and warm enough for me, but I am disappointed in their traction. I have Merrill shoes with "Arctic grip" that do pretty well, but "select grip" doesn't do nearly as well. For field testing, may I recommend Saint Paul residential area sidewalks, especially where they cross side streets. Ice, snow, slush, puddles - we have it all, often within a single block.

I need superfeet insoles inside these and my feet still hurt after 6 hours. Not the most supportive. They also make a squeaking noise when I walk. And the insulation is ok but my feet are still cold even with wool socks and it's only 50 degrees
So they shouldn't be cold. The one thing I like it that they fit my thick calves.

I ordered a half size bigger than my normal size to accommodate thicker socks, but they still seem a little short, plenty of width. These boots are pretty nice, just not as comfortable as I thought they would be.

I have several pair of Merrell boots, but this one is very far from what you expect.
First - not as comfortable as other ones. Just be clear - one day I wear my old pair, very next day - this one (meaning - I did not get much older as companies like to say when they don't want to accept negative review).
In old pair I can walk entire day and don't get tired, in this one my feet already hurt just a couple of hours.
In old pair I can wear even white socks and they remain white, for this you need very dark socks (or yours get very dark).

The boots are cute and they will work. BUT am so glad I have my Sorel's to fall back on, as these boots seem cheaply made. They don't feel like a wide width at all, and seem about a half size smaller than they should be. I will use them for light use only. If my experience with these improves, I will update this review to reflect that.

My right boot has a squeaky annoying sound when I walk. I feel like I have rubber ducky on it. Is there a way I can get rid of that sound?

It was too flat for me. The heel needs to be higher for my ankles and knees to be comfortable when I walk. I also wish more Merrell shoes came in wide width, so I wouldn’t have to order shoes that are too long.

This would be a perfect boot ...IF, Merrell would have put a decent footbed in the boot. Thin, lacking - not much cushion. Returned.
