I walk in our woods at least 3 times a day. Rain, mud, snow. These are great, except difficult to get on. They zip on the sides, but very short zipper and I need a "shoe horn" to insert my foot. A bit annoying and inconvenient, but, once on my foot they are good.

I love Merrell products, I've been wearing Encore slides for years. I bought these boots for light use (driving, shopping) and they suit my needs. I had great difficulty at first getting my feet in the boots (I have high arches) and was worried about damaging the heel counters. Eventually the leather stretched out a bit though I'm still careful and the boots are very comfortable once on. I would strongly suggest adding a pull tab at the back to make it easier to pull them on. Very pleased with the sable colour.

Bought these for next winter & wore them today to break them in a bit. I walked 3 miles & they are comfy, a little rubbing around the top but i think they will be fine once worn in. They are definitely hard to get on and also hoping time takes care of this, overall i like them

Good quality boot, comfortable right away, good sole/grip and they look nice! Recommend the boots as they keep your feet warm and the sole keeps you safe on snowy surfaces.

I ordered a half size larger after reading reviews, but, as it turns out, I wish I ordered my regular size. Don't order larger ones. The boots are very comfortable and would order again, but in my correct size. Keep in mind that leather does stretch.

I recently bought the Encore 4 Bluff women's boot. I'm not sure why the pull tab is on the side. It serves no purpose. It should be on the back of the boot to make it useful. Common sense? All my boot pulls are on the back of the boot! Otherwise it fits great but could use a thicker insole. I've contemplated having one added but I'm not sure I went to spend more money on this boot.

I am happy with these boots. They are stylish and cute. They are wider than I expected but I prefer this to them being too tight. I am not having problems with them rubbing my ankles like others have mentioned. They are easy to put on and take off. I can slide them off without unzipping the side zipper. I am thinking of getting another pair in a different color.

I own several pair of the Encore Breeze and the Encore Ice. This is the first pair of boots I purchased. First I really like the look of them! There is plenty of room to wear a thicker pair of socks. I have worn 7 or 7.5 in Merrell and I sized down to a 7 on these boots. My complaint is that the fit and feel of these are different that the other Encore shoes. The space at my heel is big and the arch just doesn't seem to be the same. I feel like my feet are rolling inward while walking. My other Encore shoes seem to keep my feet more even.

The shoes are pretty comfortable. They are a tiny bit big for me, but better big than small. they are perfect in wet rainy weather or snow. they have a good grip on the bottom and are a great looking winter shoe/boot.

Love them but after my 3rd time wearing the heal squeaks.

These Encore Polar's are great! I had great traction over the hill on my way to grandmothers house I go!

I like these boots for quick trips to the store. I didn't want another pair of laced boots . They are not easy to get on. I would recommend putting the zipper in the back.

Nice and easy to put on but had to put another insole in.

I live in Oregon so the waterproofing is appreciated. I brought these to Minnesota. They keep my feet warm, very comfortable right out of the box. My only suggestion would be to figure a way to make the top edge of the boot rolled or smoothed. It's pretty rough on the leg/ankle skin where it rubs. Even with thicker socks it's abrasive. Other than that, these boots are great.

The waterproof boots fit perfectly, with or without a pair of socks, but the left boot rubs my ankle and irritates it, sockless or not. Merrell is the only brand of footwear that I buy for boots, shoes, and indoor wear. My feet love them!

I have a high instep so they were hard to get on in the beginning. But, once on they are my go-to boots. We have had record cold in Nebraska, but these boots have kept my feet warm and toasty.

I wanted an in between boot for tromping around in small amounts of snow, when I don't want to bust out my tall snow boots. These fit well right out of the box, I have lots of Merrell shoes, all size 9, and these fit well in a size 9 even with a little thicker sock. After wearing a few days, I could even slide them off without unzipping. They are lightly insulated, but won't be warm enough for me when it's much colder than 20 degrees, and the fur lining is just as cuff around the top, it doesn't line the whole foot. The sole leaves something to be desired and doesn't provide very good traction on ice. They are cute, I like them, I wore them to work today. Also very waterproof.

Hard to get on- but absolutely fantastic for walking all over the cobblestone streets of Edinburgh and the surrounding hikes and walks. Has an annoying squeaky sound when walking down the deserted hallway at work. I don't mind the work to get on if the shoe is comfortable- and I'll hike in these until they fall apart. 2 stars off for the squeak immediately out of the box. I would 100% buy again, but allow time to return if there was a squeak.

Not true to size. Luckily I was able to give as gift to my mother.
