Fits perfectly as a size 10. Very comfortable. I switched the laces to black to be more neutral so I can travel for work in them. Also walk daily and they’re very comfortable for long distances. Love these shoes.

I usually wear a size 9 in New Balance, but have worn a size 8.5 in Merrell. Although I tried a size 9, these boots worked for me in a size 8.5. This was the case even when I often need a little more room in the toe box. Good walking and hiking shoe, and attractive. Definitely recommend these boots.

So sad they didn’t work out for me. Great price and Merrell quality plus cute but narrower than expected for medium width.

I love the trim, compact look of this hiker and the aesthetic is nice. Both a pro and maybe a con, it's very light - too early to tell if it will stand up to wear over time. I did get a bit of a cut on my leg from the top/back just under the loop - where there is a seam and extra stitching or bulk. Otherwise, comfortable and good traction.

They looked good but were too small and too narrow. Had to return.

I really like them, super comfortable, nice style, the only small cons, not warm in very cold temp. but perfect for normal cold . You can walk for hours in these shoes.

Great hiking boots love the foot support and the fact that I don't feel the rocks when I'm out on rugged terrain trails my foot are never sore, but wish would make it more of the wear and tear material worn the a handful of times and let's just say they look like I've had them for ages l..

These are great boots, but I had to order an entire size larger. Even at that, I won’t be able to wear thick socks. Fortunately, the boots are well insulated and pretty warm.

Stiff, not the most comfortable! After walking only a couple of miles, they'd cut into the backs of my ankles (blisters/bleeding). Def recommend wearing with longer, thicker socks! Nice-looking with jeans, though!

I just bought an old color (Falcon) of these on sale at a discount outdoors store. They are pretty comfortable. My purpose for these is not hiking as they don't really seem like a true hiking shoe. My visit to the Merrell site and read of the description (City Hiker) confirmed that. And also the price too as Merrill's true hiking boots cost much more than these. So that being said maybe the name of them should be changed so it is not misleading. Just a suggestion. I will be using these to run errands around town in colder temperatures and when I go out and want a more rugged looking shoe for style.

I bought these last year, they are average on ice, comfortable for long walks, but this year my feet are getting wet. Can these be sprayed with a weather protector?

Sizing, tread grip and comfort were superb. However, the toebox lacked the warmth needed for winter walking. Size up if you plan to use in a snowy climate, and wear thick wool socks.

I bought these 3 weeks ago as a work shoe, to replace my Merrell Ashford Chukkas that I LOVED. I don't work a hard job but I am on my feet all day, on concrete, and expect sole / ankle support from my shoes with enough durability to handle pressure from all angles. These boots took time to break in, I even had to use a shoe stretcher on them to break in quicker. On top of that these didn't last 3 weeks before the right started to give out. The toe box is already starting to cave in as well as the rubber separating from the front tip. I really had high hopes for these since they no longer make the Ashford Chukkas. One thing I love about these boots is the tread, it's a huge improvement in nonslip grip. Thankfully they were on sale when I bought them but they are still not worth the money I spent. Wish I could get my money back.

So so cute. Really wanted to keep them but my normal size 9 (even in other Merrells) was way too tight in width and length. Not sure a 9.5 would help because the width was the most painful part. But if you have really narrow feet, these are cute as a button!

The curve of the shoe rubs the back of heel. Tried cotton balls, inserts and anything to make them wearable. The last two Merrell purchases have been total failures.

I tried breaking them in walking 2-3 miles each time. Unfortunately the blisters that developed on fifth toe and over back of my heel. Limited that. I had to wait for them to heal before I could try again. The left improved but the right didn't. After three tries I gave up and wore an older pair that were lower. I didn't have the ankle support I wanted but no blisters. They were also Merrill's. This was the first pair of Merrill's that I have had a problem with.

The boot looks different in person compared to the photo, also does not look very well made. I've owned plenty of Merrells in the past and always wear a 9.5 but it was a little tight in this boot. Also the boot hurt my left foot where the laces end and the toe bends.

These boots are SO uncomfortable. I don't have wide feet, but these were very tight in the toe box area. I even ordered up half a size from my usual size. They are so cute from the pictures, with great tread, and I was hoping to wear them on an upcoming trip to Ireland. But I could hardly stand to have my foot in the shoe before immediately taking the boot off, let alone walking in them. I'm not accustomed to hiking boots, but they were very stiff. I will be returning these boots.

Like other reviews said the grommets inside the shoes rubbed certain spots on my feet. They also run small. I tried them on with just a normal pair of socks and they were way too tight. I suggest going up a half size. Overall the fit was just stiff and uncomfortable and they looked clunky on my feet. Sad cause I really liked the photos of these. Returning.
