Overall the shoe is very light, comfortable, and stylish for a business casual environment (I work in higher ed). The brown is a great color and works well with jeans or khakis. Fits very true to size, can comfortably accommodate a wider foot.

I need a barefoot shoe due to neuropathy in my feet, so I am always on the search for this type of shoe. Loved the Merrell trail glove 4 but they no longer make this shoe and the cloth material on the 4 has begun to shred. I found this shoe in leather, only problem, they only had it in mens' sizes. I did the conversion to womens' size and these fit perfect. Love them! I wear a 9 in womens so ordered the 7.5 in mens, perfect. Also love the wide toe space for ultimate comfort.

I got these for my new job working for an independent contractor. I'm always crawling over rafters buried under several inches of blown insulation, through tight crawlspaces, and running across all kinds of different terrain to get tools from the trailers. With these shoes, I can always be sure of what I'm stepping on. They're also the most comfortable Trail Gloves I've had so far (I had a pair of 3s and still wear my 4s around town). Toe box seems even more spacious than the others as well. And with a little silicone waterproofing spray, I can easily rinse them off with a hose and wear them to church (in an advanced zone for home weatherproofing like Northern MN, our shoes can always use a few extra touches). Great shoe!

This version has lost the wide toe box and flexibility that made previous generations a great barefoot shoe. I appreciate a little thicker sole, and they are light and comfortable with a zero drop. The suede detailing and rubber toe kick are a nice touch. Runs a little snug and definitely narrow. I'll keep them, but I don't love them.

Third pair of these I've owned. These run a big large, I think. Overall great shoe for those that want barefoot feel with roomy toe box. Great for walking on the Earth.

The trail glove 6 in leather is very comfortable and minimal but the sole did wear out rather quickly on my last pair. Large slabs of sole began falling off.

I previously had the mesh trail glove. This leather trail glove has noticeable arch support that make it feel less like a barefoot shoe. I prefer my previous mesh trail glove without this extra arch support. I will keep this leather trail glove but will go back to the mesh trail glove when these wear out.

There is a small firm bump along the edge of the part that goes around the back of your ankle that digs in. Had to return them because of this. I have the non-leather version of the shoe which doesn't have the same problem.

I received these trail glove 6 leather in color granite today. They run really big I ordered a 15 because that's what size I wear in the regular trail glove 6 ...nope way to big ..I spoke with merrell today and they were very respective and are sending me out a smaller size ...just to help out others I wear a 14 in the trail glove 5 and the vapor glove 3 leather and a 15 in the trail glove 6 but looks like I'm gonna need a 14 in the trail glove 6 leather ..that was a mouthful..lol...I hope this helps other buyers to make a more accurate purchase ...ps merrel makes a great shoe but I feel their sizing has gotten inconsistent as this isn't the first time this has happened the last 2 years its became more frequent...as a consumer I would tell merrell to tighten up on quality control and sizing... just my opinion I'm sure they'll rectify these problems ...on and all they make good shoes but nobody wants to buy online knowing their size get a shoes that doesn't come close to fitting propper then have a 3 week turnaround on recieving another pair of shoes that fit proper ...thats like letting people you don't know borrow your money ..lol...

Non removable shoe bed insert has minimal arch for my taste. Vibram soles are typically thicker for hiking, but this vibram sole seems thinner, and the feet can feel rocks, pebbles, rough trail surfaces. Long laces and many lace eyelets give options for personal preferences, and while I skipped a few of the upper ones, the laces were too long requiring triple loops to tie them shorter. Cinching up the shoelaces to fit my foot also seemed a challenge that required several minutes each time to get each eyelet tension just right. Crazy, but other shoes don’t give me that problem

I loved the Trail Glove 2s, liked the 4s. The 6s are definitely zero drop shoes, but the are NOT barefoot style running shoes. The soles are far too stiff and there is way to much arch support/heel bed in the shoe. If you are looking for toe protection while running barefoot style, this is not the shoe for you. They are comfortable enough for knock around wear, but on the expensive side for this purpose. I wish Merrell would open production on the Trail Glove 2 back up.

I am probably a dozen pairs of trail gloves into my Merrell experience, and had hoped for the same durability I've had with previous versions. Decided to go with the leather upper this time, which looks great and fits great as well. Unfortunately, parts of the tread started coming unglued from the sole after barely a couple months of light routine use. I've never had that issue with Merrells before and have always enjoyed the rock solid durability of the Vibram soles they typically use. I filed a warranty claim, and they were kind enough to give me a coupon for a new pair, but I'm reluctant to order another pair due to the prevalence of this issue in other reviews. This is obviously a widespread problem with this version of the barefoot shoe, QC or materials is suffering somewhere along the way. I also believe the design of separate glued sections of the sole near the toe box area (hardest used part of the sole) is a major design flaw contributing to the early separation of the tread.

Look/fit/feel is great. Unfortunately the sued on the toe started coming apart in less than 6 weeks. Not even at the stitching but just holes in the incredibly thin material. Repaired one and another formed a couple weeks after

I WAS excited when I found that sizing up .5 from my normal Merrell-Wide size shoe made this JUST wide enough to be passable for my wide toe box. Not perfect, but good enough if the rest is right. I WAS excited, then I wore them to work to test them out. WHO thought this pronounced arch was a good idea???!! This is supposed to be a "natural" fitting shoe. Before 11AM I found my feet are sore from this stupid arch. I don't start work till 8:30 so with commute, that's about 3 hrs in and these things hurt my feet. I bought the non-leather version too, but thankfully haven't worn them anywhere yet so those are getting returned. Whoever thought this arch was a winner needs taken out back and beaten.

This shoe was built for hiking but it can barely handle moderate walking without the outsole detaching from the sole in the toes, arch, and balls of the feet. Absolutely cannot recommend this product. It's really a shame these are as comfortable as they are, I really wanted to love them.

I bought this shoe recently and put under 5 miles on them, and the Vibram sole is coming off of the shoe. Not sure if it is a glueing issue but these shoes are brand new and falling apart without any hard use. It's sad that as Americans, businesses no longer value what built this country - quality and setting ourselves apart from others.
