My daughter was trying several styles of shoes to find the best fit and comfort for running cross country. She said these felt really good and fit her wide and short feet, but she decided to go with the brooks ghost, which felt more comfortable.

Sturdy shoes for both trails and pavement! Like that shoes are comfortable and stable -- unlike many of the high cushioned shoes which don't have same stable feel.

I'm fairly new to the Brooks family, but seriously have to say that I'm so glad to have found you. These are by far my favorite trail runners. I have several other brands and none compare to these. Seriously comfortable, they keep me going and going. Rocks, no problem, roots not an issue. A dream when I'm running down the mountain path, easy feel when I have to hike up. Fits like a dream and true to size.

Great shoes. Fit a bit larger than my Adrenalins with same comfort, but definitely more all around support. Liked them so much I bought a pair for my wife who also wears Adrenalins. She feels the same way.

I use these shoes to walk in wet grassy areas with my dog. They help give me traction with little slipping in the grass. Very comfortable

I purchased Cascadia 16 for hiking at Yosemite, and most specifically for the Mist Trail which includes a dirt path with occasional imbedded rough granite rocks & 200 wet granite steps near the Falls. I always wear Brooks Ariel for work & casual activities , so I hoped there would be good arch support as well as a solid footbed that would hold me stable on uneven hikes. They did not disappoint! I ordered the same size as my Ariel's - a perfect fit! I wore wool socks & had no problems with blisters or even wetness of my feet through all the mist. The rest of me was quite wet though! I have had prior ankle sprains, fractures, and an ankle replacement, so I am extra careful. I couldn't have been more pleased!

Fantastic for runners who tend to supinate! I've had bilateral Jones fractures after running a trail marathon and have had to take too much time away from running. The Cascadia would have protected me against this - I wish I had known. I have tremendous support now.

I have worn several generations of the Cascadia. I switched for a couple of years to another brand, but they didn't work as well for me, so I came back to the Cascadia. This is my third pair of the 16, and I'll just keep buying it until a 17 comes out. I have a narrow-ish foot, and it fits me like a glove. I like the shoelace retention strap, which keeps the laces from coming undone, and from catching on things on the trail. The tread works well for me here in Colorado, and the toe-protection is sufficient.
