I am a long distance runner. I usually buy Nike running shoes. This time I bought a pair of Ghost 14 womens running shoes -Size 7.5. When they arrived I tried them on and they were tight at the toes and width. I was a little disappointed so I returned them for a size 8. They arrived and they fit perfectly. The Brooks Ghosts 14 shoes are not true to size like many of the reviews say. If I wore the tight size 7.5, I would have gotten blisters, etc. I recommend ordering 1/2 size bigger so you won't have to go thru returning them like I went thru.

Purchased these after wearing out my Ghost 12s. Unfortunately these have a different fit and overall feel a bit flimsier. Ended up returning.

I bought these to start training for a 5k. I'm 39 and don't have the best knees, so I was looking for a shoe with extra cushion. I also have narrow feet and wanted something that wouldn't slide around. I typically wear an 8.5 in regular shoes, so I went with the same size. The width of the shoe was great. My feet felt very secure, and I could tell they wouldn't slide around when I ran. The shoes didn't have as much cushion as I was hoping for. They were also to small, so I tried to exchange them for a 9; however, I had awful problems with the website. First, the website never recognized my order number, so I couldn't initiate an exchange. I had to call customer service, and they were able to help right away. However, when I went back to order the new size, the site froze up every time I entered my shipping address. I tried several times over the course of 3 days, but finally gave up and ordered from another brand. I'm sure the shoes would have been fine in the right size, but the technical issues were too frustrating to deal with.

Love the look of them but not a cushiony as my Levitates. I felt more strains on my shins while running. Thought about returning them but they are good for my brisk walks and quick easier runs.

Odd bunching/folding of the fabric on the top of the toes when running, which has been surprisingly annoying. The fabric is not as breathable and flexible as previous models and has a "plastic" feel instead of a fabric feel. The sole and tread does seem to be improved, but the upper seems to be both cheaper and less comfortable than the previous Ghosts (of which this is my 4th pair). I don't know if I'll keep buying Brooks after this, I just can't afford expensive shoes that are cheap!

These shoes did not work for me. There was not enough cushioning under ball of foot.

Took a long time to break them in and the shoe laces would not stay tied. It's been a year now and they constantly come undone.

I have worn ghosts for years and have loved them. But over the last few years, they just aren't as good as they used to be anymore.

The shoes definitely are not as good as the Ariel ones I wear most of the time. Ariel gives me better support as I walk a lot. And the shoelaces are awful! They don't stay tied so I have to double not them. So I would say they are not the greatest!!!

These are my first pair of Brooks running shoes - at the urging of a fellow runner I was encouraged to switch from my usual Saucony Speeds to the Ghosts - I really wanted to love them but i find them high around my ankle bones - this gives me soreness in my feet. I have tried them for about 40 miles - now they just sit in my closet. Super bummed with this purchase.

I have five pairs of brooks shoes. all of them fit perfectly. I only buy them because the fit never changes. These are too tight everywhere. And they are shorter. I would not be able to wear socks with them. I liked the colors.

Tried this since Glycerin19 was sold out & the ghost had high ratings. I would not describe the running experience as "soft cushion" since I find the Glycerin19 to be much more cushioned. However it has been okay for me running on asphalt/cement. I'm using my more worn Glycerin19's for causal everyday wear & another pair for working in the yard. So by necessity this pair of Ghosts has become my "go to".

After wearing them for 1 day, I noticed a bunch of piling on the inside of the shoe near the top and on the inside of the heel.

Ghost sneaker is not as comfortable as the Addiction sneaker.

The black 14's are slightly smaller than my other two pairs of 14's

I did feel like they would have been pretty comfortable but something about the fit just felt off on my feet. Plus I followed the advise of the website and ordered a 1/2 size up from my regular size and they were WAY too big. I could have ordered 1/2 a size down from my reg size and been fine. I ended up returning and going with the Ghost 15s and I LOVE them!
