I’m a big guy and these shoes feel very solid and planted and not squishy. They’re still soft under the foot though. Brooks is what I wear to combat knee pain.

Finally a walking/running shoe that fits my big & wide feet. So far they provide excellent comfort. Still testing them as far as longevity goes. I will definitely buy another pair.

I run 36+ miles a week; 2/3 on pavement and 1/3 gravel trails and Brooks are the only brand that consistently keep me on the road 7 days a week injury free. I am a size 8 in length but have a super wide toe box so I tend to size up a full size to give my feet extra room to spread especially as they warm up. I alternate between women's wide and men's regular Ghosts, because the mens have a wider toe box, and honestly have the same fantastic experience in both. I used to have pronation issues long ago, but after switching to Brooks and running in them for a few years, it was actually corrected (?!?) which I had no idea could happen, but here we are, and I'm back in a neutral shoe! I'm a Brooks fan for life! I run hard on my shoes and change them every 300 miles, which adds up to quite a bit each year, but you absolutely get what you pay for in the best way. If you're a runner, a walker, or just on your feet a lot, these are the shoes for you!
