I have flat feet and over pronate. This is my shoe of choice and have run 2 full Ironman marathons and 6 half Ironman half marathons in them. Great stability and motion control. Im 64 and 180lbs. I go thru them every 2-3 months depending on my training and mileage. Wondering if Brooks has anything comparable in a carbon plated shoe coming out?

Excellent walking shoes that keep me energized through your my walk. I only wish they were stylish more like the other brooks glycerin 20. But over all its a great shoe thanks.

Bought these as workout shoes. Too heavy, I use them as walker shoes. I really like these shoes, very good support. I bought the adrenaline shoes for work out shoes, just right. I am a brooks convert now.

Fit very good. Have used this show for more than 5 years, probably 15 or so pairs of the Addiction shoes . The only issue is that it has worn through at the both heals the last two pairs I have purchased, else would be a 5. Worn through in about 6 month.

I don't run that much anymore, but with flat feet and several leg injuries, I always look for a good supportive running shoe as my daily shoe. I've used Brooks's Adrenaline in the past but the Addiction seemed to be a better fit, so I tried it out. Unfortunately, that didn't pan out and I'll have to go back to the Adrenaline (which hopefully is still good) do to the support built in to the heel of the shoe being so over supportive as to induce a lot of pain during use. My first impressions were positive. It felt a bit weird that the toes had so much extra room (vertically) compared to the very snug fit on the heel, which was noticeable when taking steps. However, while an unfamiliar feeling when walking, it didn't seem to be an actual issue and I quickly adjusted to it. There was some discomfort along the arch, but nothing that made me think there was a problem, just a need to break-in the shoes. This remained the case with some small improvements to comfort as I wore the shoes around my home the first afternoon with them (doing chores and lounging). During the next couple of days, I wore them during a couple short walks of ~10 minutes each as well as during a weekly trip for groceries. As far as standard support for flat feet, this appears to be a very decent shoe (which is why this review is not 1 star). Unfortunately, the shoes became a problem when I ran some lengthier errands a couple days later, becoming so painful that I'm now returning the shoes. This occurred when I had to drive approximately 30 min to a particular store. On previous, short drives, I hadn't noticed anything, but the longer drive really allowed the pressure at the back of my ankle (to the side of my Achilles) to build up and become noticeable. This was on my right foot, and definitely related to the position necessary for using the pedals (I could not find any comfortable position that allowed me to effectively drive). While I couldn't quickly replicate this in the left foot and I definitely now notice the bit of built in heel support on both shoes. Before getting back on the road for the return trip, I tried re-lacing the shoes in the parking lot. However, this didn't work and the pain came back immediately quickly. It was so painful at this point that I had to take off the shoe before continuing the half hour drive back home. Due to the shear amount of pain, I this shoe can't act as my daily shoe (which I was hoping for) without experimenting with breaking the heal. Back when I was running competitively, I was a middle distance sprinter, and we used shoes like the Addiction for training when not using spikes. Since the pointing done during driving is similar to the foot orientation during sprinting (though that tends to a turn in while driving is more of a turn out), I would caution sprinters who are considering the Addiction, as well.

Have ordered these same sneakers and size for the last 4 years. This pair is tighter than the others; also squeaks (after close to 2 weeks now).

I have worn Brooks shoes for a long time; but never the Addiction until my recent pair. I bought them because my podiatrist said that they would be the best model for my feet. He was right and I like them. My only gripe would be that I would like to see them available in a wider range of colors and styles.

The fit is good, and the ride is not quite as soft as you'd expect from the product description, but still comfortable. The big design problem with this model is the vertical micro-ribbing along the side of the sole, so when it gets dirty, it's impossible to completely clean. A wise solution to this would have been to offer no light colored soles, but Brooks has chosen to have a lot of them come in the dumb and trendy white or cream color. So, if you're lucky enough to choose a size and color combination that has a black sidewall sole, your shoes will look fine. For the vast majority of us, the shoes will look dingy for the whole rest of their lives. Not a recommended product!

Wasnt as soft as I would think for $140. Hard sole, the puffy ring around your ankle too big. I thought the stiffness of the sole would have a more of a comfortable sole.

I love these sneakers. I’ve tried many other brands and nothing seems to fit my foot like Brooks Addiction series. I always get a 4E width as I have hobbit feet and the Brooks are the only one that really seems to be a wide toe box. I do swap out the insoles for SOLE cork insoles, but I do that with all footwear, snowboard boots too.

I walk a lot and these shoes work well for me. Fit is very good. Sole wear is good. The heel area inside the shoe seems to wear out sooner than I expect. They cost more than I would expect.

I have a narrow foot and Brooks is very good about making sure they have my size. I am so grateful. Plus, it's a great shoe. Very comfortable, durable!!

Ive been suffering from sore feet for years. I even have seen a doctor and gotten orthotics. Then, I decided to see if better shoes would work. Turns out I have extremely narrow feet. Since these shoes come in narrow AND they have strong structure, they really caress my feet well. The pain is going away. Hopefully, future versions of these shoes will come in fun colors.

One of my 3 favorite shoes, the first one is the addiction walker [I'm on my feet a lot at work], these are just as good! Very comfortable, supportive and roomy in the toebox. Durable with a lot of support to stabilize pronation.

I love the support the Addiction gives me. I felt the difference immediately. Later in the day I didnt feel the muscle aches I normally do in my calves, knees and hips. Great purchase and will buy again!

I like the shoe and it fits well. However, the older design (addiction 13) looked better. I don't like the current fabric used for the toe box. Looks like an old guy's lounge slipper, and yes, I'm an old guy, lol.

I am not a runner, but a walker. I buy Brook's shoes because of my wide feet (need extra wide 4E) and size 12. Plus these shoes (Addiction GTS) are very comfortable and supportive. I have been buying Brook's shoes for almost a decade, averaging 1 new pair a year.
