Review for Brooks Addiction GTS 15: As I have aged my correct shoe size has gone from a 9.5 AA width to a 11.5 A width. For a male this means unless I paid out big bucks most shoes never correctly fit me as few shoe companies make narrow width shoes. Seventy years ago there were shoe companies like Florsheim, Johnson & Murphy, Wright Arch Preserver, French Shriner, and Allen Edmonds that made narrow width shoes, sometimes requiring a special order. Other than Allen Edmonds, they are all long gone or the name exists but not the quality and choice of widths in products offered. Several years ago I discovered Brooks at Nordstroms and they had some shoe offerings in a narrow width. At times they have referred to them as B widths. Actually, they fit like an A width and they seem to be well made. For me the fit of their narrows are spot on. And, they are reasonably priced. I have about five pairs including running and walking shoes and all of them fit me well. I have tried Allen Edmonds but their narrow width shoe lasts have never really fit me well. And, their shoes have been in the $300 to $500 range for some time. I have also found a few models of New Balance shoes available in narrow widths and their B width is close to an A width. However anything in their 800 series are not a narrow fit even if the size claims to be. They are more between a C and a D width. I will continue to be a Brooks customer. Good fit, good value, and they last. They are manufactured to Brooks Co. specifications in order to remain consistent with their sizing. Many other shoes such as Rockport advertise widths but it is up to the country of manufacture to determine what a width might be.
I'd also recommend:
None if you where a narrow width. Well, maybe New Balance.

Tried out the Ghost at the suggestion of Brooks website, however they changed my gait and hurt my knees. I’m a big guy, 5’10” 290 lb. Returned to Addiction and my knees feel better three days later

I wear a size 15 in men shoes and all ways have trouble finding shoes in my size. I figured I would try Zappos, and glad I did. I've never used or tried this Brooks brand. I'm glad I did. These shoes are very comfortable and fit perfect. I like black shoes and these were perfect. I've only wore them a couple of times since they were delivered and they have been fine. I hope they last a while.

I usually wear the adrenaline, but tried these. They were just not as comfortable for me as the Brooks Adrenaline, a little short also. So, I will be returning these shoes.

Had to send them back- much more narrow fit than previous versions. Going to try NB 880’s again.

I bought these because I walk 10- 13 mi. daily and I needed a shoe that could accommodate my orthopedic arch supports. Worked great and I have put 50 plus miles and I am satisfied with them. I had read the reviews and order a 1/2 size larger and they fit perfectly. I would like to note that they have the best shoe laces. The laces only require to tied once and not doubled up. I have had every major high end athletic shoe in the past twenty years and all of their laces needed to be doubled up to stay tied...good job Brooks!

As soon as I saw this shoe, it was love at first sight. When I tried it on, it felt like it was made for me and that never happens. The toe box is spacious which is a treasured feature and the support around the heel is just right. I am going to order some more pairs in case they stop making these. I can't say enough nice things about these. I can truly say that they are appropriately named for me: Addiction.

Great shoes for heavily pronated feet. I typically wear a 10.5, had to return for an 11. Brooks makes excellent shoes for running and walking. Strong recommendation.

Poor Quality: I bought these nine months ago but did not start wearing them until approximately three months ago. I bought them because they have a wide toe box and I thought Brooks shoes were a premium shoe. Two weeks ago one of the treads on the bottom fell off. Last week, another one fell off. Now my knee hurts. I was at a sports store yesterday shopping for replacement. When they tried to put me in another Brooks, I told them my issue. Two sales people nodded knowingly and said "That happens a lot with these shoes." Now I'm back in my old New Balance. Your durability needs to improve.

After wearing this shoes I noticed that part of the design on the side of the shoes has peeled off. If this continues the side of the shoe will look rather ragged. For a pair of $140 running shoes I would not expect this to happen.

I am a 72 year woman with large bunions. I have to buy men's brooks x-tra wide to fit my feet. Brooks was recommended to me by two different podiatrist. Brooks is the best for me. The Brooks Women x-wide is not wide enough anymore. I did try Easy Spirit women's x-tra wide and they work okay for short trips. If I'm going to zoo, Walmart, or Costco....it's BrooKs men's x-tra wide every time. I remember when they cost $60 to $85 a pair. Have any coupons for this old lady that currently has 13 pairs of Brooks? I will be donating 9 pair on Tuesday as they are not wide enough anymore. I love Brooks!!!

Sneaker felt great for months, but around 5 months, the seam near the toe started opening up. I just emailed Brooks to see what they can do about it but if this is not replaced, I would not repurchase from this brand as others have lasted much longer with more wear before something started to become undone.

I have worn Brooks shoes for a long time; but never the Addiction until my recent pair. I bought them because my podiatrist said that they would be the best model for my feet. He was right and I like them. My only gripe would be that I would like to see them available in a wider range of colors and styles.

Since I started suffering a bunion and other foot problems I've relied on the Brooks Addiction for comfort and support for city walking. After my great experience with the leather models I switched to the mesh upper version for hot weather, and have not been disappointed. They are wide enough for comfort on my 4E feet, and provide sufficient depth for a custom orthotic. Other brands deliver on fit and room, but Brooks is the most structured and supportive I've found.

Our favorite tennis shoe is the Brooks Beast & Brooks Ariel. They are definitely worth every penny. The only complaint I would have with Brooks Beast & Ariel. They need to come out with a little more exciting colors for these 2 styles. The other Brooks like Launch, Levitate, Ghost have really unique colors.

Size was correct. Width was correct. Support is good. Tennis shoe tongues are all very short and you barely have enough length to tie the shoes over them! The manufacturers need to fix this!

I made a post on Facebook but I wanted to give a proper review. I had a knee replacement at the young age of 33. I also wear custom orthotics and this is the shoe my doctor recommended. I cannot rave how good these shoes are. Right out of the box with the custom orthotic didn't take long at all break them in. With knee problems wearing the correct shoe is daylight and dark. I have more energy I want to walk all the time now .these shoes literally gave me my life back. Only thing I would change is getting these in more colors and maybe gortex or waterproof option. I'm a young dude and don't want to wear old man shoes. I feel like the Ghosts get all love. But I will say the black on black look awesome.

Weird toe box, rubs the outer edge of my toe. All 3 new brooks shoes are doing this which previous model I didnt have this issue. I think the shoe toe box material that is now more stiff and rubbery, may be too narrow causing toe squeezing. Shoe is correct size and width. Just weird thing going on with my toes in all the new Brooks shoes.

I keep coming back for the Addiction shoe. The fit stays the same and the support is very good for my needs. I wear them for casual daily wear, and also when I go the gym. I walk, jog and exercise in these shoes. They are fine for me year round. For me they are not ideal on uneven terrain outdoors. My feet tend scoot around in them in those situations. I also wish they would last a little longer. A good shoe store that does proper fittings recommended this shoe for me.

The question of "how was your run?" is somewhat humorous. I'm older than dirt and stopped running quite some time ago. I buy these for comfort. I can take my morning walks "shuffles" for my one-mile adventures along the equestrian trails of the city in which I live comfortably. Great shoes.
