I have been wearing Clifton 8s and thought I would try something else. Big mistake. This show is not nearly as comfortable or supportive.

I use these shoes for work. I stand a lot during the day, the shoes really don't do anything for me.

Great shoe but not as comfortable as Rincon 2. I am a beat up old guy and noticed that my knees and feet hurt a little more with the Rincon 3 compared to the Rincon 2.

For years I was trying to jump on Hoka hype train, but most popular models (Bondi, Clifton) never felt good on my feet.
Until I got a pair of Rincon 2, that was magic: light, springy and cushy it was a love from the first step.
When Rincon 3 was released I was extremely excited but suddenly it doesn't work for me, I'm having exact same issues that I always had with Bondi and Clifton: uncomfortable rubber edge under my arch. It's got a little bit better after few runs but still uncomfortable.
Rincon 2 was great, Rincon 3 not for me.

Love the comfort, but I've had two pairs in a row that have developed holes in the lining after a few weeks of wear. And one of the pull-on straps on the back ripped after a couple weeks of wear.

i used the sizing comparison with NewBalance and Asics, and it had me go up .5 size. I didn't, and stayed at the same size of my other shoes. These are at least 1 full size too big. I do like the wide option. I am not sure what the material used is, but it is very thin, which results in light weight, but also feels like I may wear through it quickly. Also, these shoes got dirty very quickly, beyond cleanability. This is my 2nd pair of Hoka's. My first pair, i didn't get wide, and they were too narrow. On that pair, i sized down .5 size and it seemed to fit lengthwise.

I tried Rincon 3 for a short distance shoe for speed days. It was much smaller and more narrow than my same size Bondi, Clifton, or Arahi. After just 2 runs it showed significant creasing and wear. I don't think this model would last much longer than 200 miles, tops. After trying, I decided to return for something more durable and true to size.

I love the shoes however, it made you feel as if you were rocking back and forth between steps. Therefore a lot of unnecessary pressure on the knees.

I love the Hoka shoes but the bottoms wear out way to soon. I have only had mine about 6 wk and they are already showing breakdown. That is why I replaced my previous Hokas I may have to go back ti the "other" brand for this reason

The sneakers have great support but for a wide it's too narrow and the tongue is terrible. The engineer who designed it should be fired.

I love the lightweight Rincons. One drawback is that the soles wear out fast for me when I jog on pavement and sidewalks. I was excited to try the 3rd edition but after a few months of using them, I can't stand the tongue getting caught up below my Nathan laces. It's so hard to pull them up. I ended up buying two more Rincon 2s when they came in stock so I wouldn't have to deal with the tongue. I understand it saves some material and weight of the shoe but I love the 2nd edition much better.

I bought a pair of men's wide because of bunions. I've worn these shoes for awhile.
Con: The tongue keeps sliding down into the shoe. I also tend to roll my ankle inward on my left foot. There is no support to keep me from breaking over that direction.
Pro: They are the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. They rock me off the ball of my feet, which my other shoes rock me forward onto the balls of my feet.
Really what to love this pair of shoes. I am going to check out another pair before throwing in the towel.

I recently ramped up my training miles and was looking for a more cushioned shoe. The Rincons I purchased provided plenty of cushioning on the bottom, but very nearly none on top in the shoe's tongue. I initially used the marathon lacing as the shoe felt slightly large. The top of the laces ran across my foot above what is a very short tongue. After 8 miles, the pressure spot from the laces was so sore I couldn't put the shoes back on for three days.
I now have a little over 60 miles on these shoes and have abandoned the marathon lacing to reduce the soreness on the top of my foot to a mild discomfort. Given the amount of wear these shoes are already showing, I will probably replace them before 300 miles. I don't think I will be replacing them with Hokas.

The Rincon 3 shoes are lightweight and have the HOKA large heel which is a big plus in foot comfort. However, the shoe tongue is flimsy and you find it often buried under the laces when you put the shoe on. In addition, the wide width is closer to a regular width and is very tight on your foot.
A repectable shoe overall, but not a great shoe. It has the above design flaws that would prevent me from buying it again.

This was the right size but something about the insole hurt the outside of my instep immediately. I’m returning them for my favored Cliftons.

The Rincon 3 feels great. Plenty of toe room, a snug heel and very cushy. I had 2 issues. The heal was too soft in the center and I felt like I was falling backward a bit. The tongue us too short at the top where you tie the laces and allowed the laces to ride up into the socks. I ended up getting the Mach 4 which had less toe room but a better overall cushion and no issues with the tongue.

I was enjoying the Rincon 3 and the great response from them on the road. I do about 45 miles per week and after six weeks the responsiveness is gone. I now feel like I'm walking in a shoe that has gone flat. I would expect to get more miles out of these shoes. I also agree with many of the comments about the tongue being short, although it hasn't been a problem for me it would be nice if it was a bit longer. Now I need to order new shoes and I can't decide if I want to get the R3s again or find a shoe that can at least 400 miles. Before I bought the R3s I saw reviews that mentioned earlier models of this shoe having the problem of losing their responsiveness at around 200 miles, but I was hoping this problem had been resolved.

The fit and comfort was very good. The style was nice as well. The shoe just didn't work for me. After a lot of research and favorable reviews from everyone I talked with about them, I bought a pair. They just didn't work out for me, unfortunately. Bad knees and they force you to either lean forward or backwards and backwards put too much strain on my bad knees. Zappo's was the best though.

I have been using the rincon to walk 3-5 miles per day for past 10 days. Not comfortable when using compared to the Addidas boost when compared but post walk I have noted big difference in recovery so still using th hoka in hopes I get used to the shoe. I strike my heel during running and this shoe does help avoiding that and hoping the uncomfortable walks are due to a new pattern in use of muscles
