I have an outdoor pair of Rincon running shoes and recently purchased a second pair in a different colorway to be my indoor tread shoes. These don't fit the same--they are longer and wider with different feel to the fabric. I'm let down and hope I can find another pair in a different colorway that replicate my outdoor running shoes!

I am a repetitive Rincon buyer but never have I had the tongue of the shoe so unfriendly. It is a flat flap of material that folds and slides down into the shoe when placing foot insidedefinitely not the shoe I wanted nor would recommend.

Light weight. Not as comfortable as the Bondi 7's.

The string in the back of the shoe is cheesy. The tongue of the shoe rolls up on the top of your foot. Older models were better.

really wanted to like these but i guess HOKA's just aren't for my foot type. Tried the Cliftons and then the Rincon 3 in a regular width and they both just rubbed my instep like crazy. Tried the wide versions and ended up having too much room for movement. All in all the Rincon 3's are a very good looking shoe! I did take them for a 3 mile run and they felt nice and cushy underfoot and virtually didn't notice they were there because they're so light! Also felt that they had great traction on the road surface. I ended up returning them unfortunately because i didn't see them getting any better with rubbing hot spots on my feet. Would def recommend as HOKA has a really good return policy!

I'm a bigger guy so the sole wasted really quick. At first it was an amazing experience and ride , about a month and half the sole just ran out and didn't feel the comfort anymore

The tongue in the shoe is too thin, moves around too much while I know. Something seem off.

I have the Bundi 7 as my first pair of Hoka. Bought this one because it was cheaper. Myself I will stick to Bondis. They have more cushion and the top part is a better quality than the Rincn 3.

I wear an 8 1/2 and ordered an 8 1/2 the sizing is off from my previous Hoka's as listed on the tongue of the shoe being a longer and loose shoe. I run and need a proper fitting shoe, I'm not sure that the cushion would be enough or hold up running the road. other than that it would be a good shoe. So I'll have to go back to the Hoka Bondi or Brooks Ghost.
I'd also recommend:
Hoka Bondi and Brooks Ghost

My shoes are comfortable but I can't help but wonder what they'd feel like new, considering these showed up with obvious wear. I paid for a new pair of shoes and got a pair that someone else had returned.

I bought these expensive shoes because many other people like them and I thought the extra cushioning would help my sore heel. But the shoes didn't help my heel, and they cost a lot of money.

I have a prominent fifth Metatarsal head from a previous injury. These shoes are very late but hurt my foot at that location.

They started breaking down pretty soon. This is odd because I love all my Hokas.

Feels a little tighter fitting than my previous HOKA experiences (size 10). No other daily runners come close to how light this shoe feels but this comes at a cost. It feels unstable on turns or on rainy days. It's a not a shoe I feel comfortable pushing to the limit. There is little feedback to the road surface without the comfort and cushioning HOKAs usually provide. Very much a mid foot landing shoe. I've found myself shortening my stride and increasing my cadence in this shoe which isn't a bad thing, just an adjustment. (Mach 4 was my previous benchmark). Heel strike isn't responsive nor does it feel very cushioned. The slightly angular tongue took some getting use to but works well. A great short runs or junk miles shoe, however. I find that 8+ miles start to get uncomfortable and blistery even after 100 miles in the shoe.

I'm a PE teacher so I'm on my feel all day. This shoe wasn't bad but I have found that my ON shoes feel much better for my particular problem. Not to say that the hokas are bad, I'll try another model soon.

I always wonder what the product designers were thinking when they come up with crazy ideas like "asymmetrical tongue". The way the tongue is designed, the laces now cut across the top of my foot. The dip in the tongue is so low, that the laces cannot stay on top of the tongue. Why can't we leave some things just the way they were? The Rincon has been my go-to shoe for at least 3 years now and now I might have to start looking for a new shoe. Can we please get a "normal" tongue back?
