This is my first pair of Hokas after many months of indecision. I bought these for walking, so far I have 15-20 miles on them and find them lightweight and supportive, and I am happy with h the cushioning. Previously I wore Saucony shoes almost exclusively and will probably keep them in my rotation, but I don't think this is my last pair of Hokas.

Possessing a 12 1/2 AAA-sized foot and experiencing a lifetime of walking pain, Hoka Clifton 8 has provided the comfort that I thought I'd never possess. I also thank my podiatrist who recommended Hoka for this accomplishment.

I had hoped that they would be wide enough in the toe box, but unfortunately they are not. Please send a return label so I can return them. Thank you.

These shoes actually make walking and running easier and less of an impact on my knees. They also have a great (easy) exchange policy (I bought some that were too small and I easily exchanged for a size up with no extra charge) I'm a size 13 for dress shoes and 14 for running shoes and with these I'm a size 14

I bought these sneakers for my mother. These are the only sneakers she will wear now. She loves the arch support, cushioning, and the fact Hoka makes shoes that can fit her 12.5 foot.

I went from the Clifton 9's to the 8's as they were on sale. I put around 600 miles on the 9's, mixed running and walking, started to have pain on the outsides of my feet so I assume the interior of the shoes collapsed due to constant working. I don't expect them to last forever of course. The Nike Pegasus 37's gave out around the same time so one isn't better than the other, it is just a matter of initial comfort. I have a set of Hoka One Carbon X3 that I have yet to try as well. I am hopeful that they will last a bit longer but only time will tell. I will say the Hoka's feel softer on my feet when running compared to the Pegasus but the Pegasus feel lighter. Not sure the weight on either of them, just my personal opinion. back to the 8 vs 9, the 9 is worth the extra money but if you can find them on sale, it's worth it to buy two pair. I'll write a review for the carbons once I get into them but for now, 9's reign supreme, 8's are more for walking.

I've tried and been loyal to lots of different branks over the last few decades (I'm 68 at this writing)--but being a TV News Cameraman, I've covered a lot of Marathons & Half-Marathons and in recent years I noticed that All of the Front of the Starting Line Pro & Serious Runners wore HOKAs.
I was at the point of needing some new running shows--I am not a runner, but my job keeps me on the run!--and Fleet Feet Sacramento was having a sale. So I decided to try HOKAs. After only a day of wearing them on the job I knew it would take A Lot to ever go to anything else.
Now on my 3rd pair in 3 years. For me, the Clifton 11.5" are the Perfect Shoes. Put a new pair on and it's like coming home.
And the compliments I get on the colors! I love Orange and any combination of colors with Orange.
HOKAs will get attention. And the feel--for me--of the Clifton is like--And Old Friend & Coming Home.

Runner for 47 years, and I've run in Clifton 8 since it arrived (8 pairs). However, now it has been updated to Clifton 9, which was not at all suitable. The heel box was too big, and my heel slipped in and out with each step, despite using different lacing scenarios.

It's my everyday shoes and it's my second pair in 2 months. I plan to rotate them. I think I have some form of plantar fasciitis. Feet around heels hurt every morning. Tried tons of shoes, but feet still hurts in any other shoe brand. These are the only ones that brings pain level to very very tolerable level. Not perfect but best I've ever tried. They run a bit tight at first but quickly improves. I'm an 11 with any other brand. But really should be 10.5 wide. Most shoes are kind is narrow so while width at 11 is good, I have room at toe area. 11.5 Hokas fits me like a 10.5 wide. Almost no room at toe area. So fit feels perfect. I already feel like getting another even now.

The Cliftons fit my feet great and are very comfortable. I love the padded tongue -- the other models I tried had very thin tonges. I've worn these on 4-5 runs so far. Whenever these wear out I will likely buy them again. Great shoes.
