I shattered my heel/ankle in an accident two and a half years ago, and had a titanium plate and 13 screws inserted to put it back together. It will never be 100%, and since that happened I've not been able to find a shoe that gave me the cushioning, support and light weight that I've found comfortable in managing that injury.....until the HOKA Clifton 8. It is by far and away the best shoe I've found and it allows me to walk miles during the day without experiencing the kind of discomfort I was used to. I will definitely be buying more HOKA shoes in the future.

I'm able to extend the distance of my walks now that I have found relief and foot pain has subsided.

It's frustrating when you find "the one" in a sneaker only to find out the company has rolled out the upgraded version. I'm hoping the Clifton 8's have the same feel. I am an elementary art teacher (female who wears a mens 11 in the Clifton 7) and own 5 pair of the Clifton 7. I loved them so much and found them on sale elsewhere so I have 3 pair I keep at school, a pair for walking my dog and an all black pair I wear when I work events for my brother. When I am at school I am on my feet all day long. Last year I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and took a hard look at the shoes I was wearing both personally and professionally. Once I fully committed to wearing the Clifton 7's, at school, I noticed a decrease in pain. I also added Superfeet inserts for added arch support. I wish I bought more of the Clifton 7's because the colors are more traditional which works better with my professional dress. Looking forward to seeing reviews on the 8's.

I use these shows for longer runs. They are easy on the ankles, knees and hips. Ive been running with various other shoe brands and I'm very impressed with these for longer run and they would also be perfect for recovery runs or someone recovering from injury on ankles, knees or hips.

GREAT PAIR OF SNEAKERS RUN A LITTLE NARROW

I was impressed with my Clifton 7, but the Clifton 8 is more than expected. The lace web and tongue changes have increased the overall comfort of this shoe. The lighter weight is another bonus.

Fantastic feeling shoe; good balance.

When I put these on, it felt like I wasn't wearing a shoe at all, except for wonderful support. I didn't know that my older Cliftons needed to be replaced, but there was no doubt after I put these on my feet. Great support, extremely comfortable, and so light you forget you are wearing shoes. Each generation of HOKAs seems a little better.

The most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. If you are considering something new, don't hesitate and go get yourself a pair of Hoka shoes, your feet will thank you. Sizing Reference: I wear a 10.5 in Nike , 10.5 in New Balance and 10 in Hoka
