This is was my first time buying these shoes. I am very impressed with how comfortable they are. (I have the Bondi X.) Anyway, I did not rate 5 stars because of the tongue on the shoes. The shoes have completely dyed the top portion of my socks. I have black Hokas and now my once white socks are now partially black. It's very disappointing that the color runs and quite surprising because it was just from normal walking. No rain nothing. Just walking made the colors run.

Passion the sole is great tongue is too short. Should come up another inch or2 to be easier to get on. I would prefer the sole to be wider as it would supply more stability side to side. Cheers

The Good
- Lots of Foam
- Plate
- Soft and thin upper mesh
The Bad
- Hard to pivot in (I run in New York city, average 5mi to 14mi per session). Cars, curbs, dog walkers, on-going construction, small children, aliens, rats, junkies, there's a lot I to need to move around while running.
- Heel slip

I've questioned a number of people wearing HOKA's before buys my first pair, and 100% mentioned comfort. That was an accurate description. I purchased the Bondi X and used them mostly on the gym treadmill. They do have a nice bounce and take some off the impact off my bad knees which was what i was hoping for.
What I didn't like is they seem to run a bit narrow in the toe box. I don't have wide feet but they do feel narrow compared to my Nike's. I expect they will break in nicely and i wont notice it any longer. I do wish they were available in better color choices and a more balanced between responsive and plush. I thought they were a bit pricey. I cant comment on the carbon vs Bondi 8 but I am interested to try another style in the Hoka line in the near future .

Not as comfy as my Bondi 7's and the shape is entirely different. The right side is higher for me and brushes my ankle. The tongue is not padded like the 7's. I almost sent them back for a pair of 8's, but kept them after they were passable on a 13 mile run. Hard to know if I'm faster, but they are lighter than the 7's- I am committed to Hoka's tho and don't plan to own any other running shoe brand.

I wore this shoe to school a few times even outside got some funny looks it's definitely an extremely bulky shoes even though it is HOKA tradition. But dear god do they feel like stilts, the rocking chair motion is terrible. But the shoe is extremely comfortable not once did I feel any discomfort at all now if you're a short king and need some extra inches this will definitely make you feel like a giant. Now another problem is the fact that they are heavy. Now they aren't as heavy as they look but, it feels like cinder block attacked to your feet. Will you reach a new PR? No, will you look stylish? No, are they extremely comfortable yes. So if you're looking for a comfortable shoe even at the cost of looks or you just don't care about looks then I highly suggest this product. But for any actual running or for Street wear (Looks) I don't advise buying this. But hey, at the end of the day it's your choice.

I just wish the tongue were a little longer. It has usually slipped down into the shoe by the time my run is finished

I have an early mini S with a stick shift transmission. The clutch, brake and gas pedals are fairly close together and the Bondie is too wide to be able to comfortably drive my car. Otherwise I like them.

I have been wearing the Bondi 7 and I love it. I thought I would try the Bondi X but was very disappointed because it didn’t seem to have the same plushness on the interior footbed as the 7. Loved the style/color though.

First run was a little different with the Bondi X's~had a little soreness in the heel and feet and the toe box feels a little tighter than the Bondi 7's. After about 5 runs i think they "broke in" and the issues I had above have went away! I rotate these in every 2-3 runs with my other shoes.
I think I probably should've exchanged them for a size up but may be past that point.
Overall I would recommend adding them to your rotation! Maybe try them on at a store and make sure the fit is correct!

This shoe has all of great properties if the Bondi 7 with a little extra bounce. Overall, I like them. My only complaint is the fit is different enough that is caused some blistering.

I love my bondi 7s, and I was so excited about the carbon. plate. But I really need wide (honestly, extra wide). I keep hoping they'll add wide options!

The shoe feels slightly loose but I would be concerned about getting a half size smaller. Extremely comfortable for running or walking. I needed extra support. I had tried ASICS and inserts but the inserts go flat quickly. Bondi X totally meet my need for support. Shoes look great too! Only issue is that the grooves on sole are too large; I pick up pebbles every time I run or walk (I live in a rural area without sidewalks). Overall very pleased.

Shoe laces will cut into top of foot if not careful. The tongue is just a little short. Otherwise I'd buy a lifetime supply of these shoes and call it done. It would be nice to have a wider color selection!
