Hoka - please expand your offer in the "wide" sizes. Those of us having to wear a wide shoe have little to choose from. Thanks

They are my first Hoka, to run on the asphalt, I am 49 years old, and I am a little overweight between fat and strong, I have about 220 pounds, at this point I was looking for a good shoe that would cushion on the asphalt and I do not know I felt so much in the knee, bingo, very comfortable, I finished running my 5 miles today as if I were stepping on clouds, I recommend them, especially if you are overweight and want less impact on the knee. ;)

I've worn Hokas for years and been impressed with their longevity and comfort. However, like some who have also posted their comments, the toe box is narrow. New Balance has the best toe box for me, but come nowhere close in terms of comfort. I wear a size 9 in every other brand of shoe from dress shoes to sandals, but take a 10 in Hokas to get the maximum comfort. And like many, one foot is a half-size larger so finding a pair that feels good on both feet is a bit of a challenge. The Bondi X is wonderful shoe: handsome, light weight, comfortable, and good for walking, running, or just normal wear around the house. I strongly recommend the Hoka Bondi X, but urge attention to the sizing, which is made easy by Zappos as you can exchange for a different one with confidence.

These shoes feel great for the ride. It promotes a smooth ride and is great for long runs if you can get the right fit. The problem for me is with fit. I run in size 11. I've run in 11s for years in multiple brands. Like, I've been running for two decades and this is by far the tightest shoe I've ever run in. I would love to believe that I am the only person that thinks like this but you can google "hokas are too tight" and my experience is the exact same as so many people. I had to upgrade to 12s for the Hoka Bondi X and my toes still felt cramped. To couple with that my heels slipped even with a "heel lock" shoe tie. My wife experienced the same issue. I would LOVE this shoe if they had a wider toe box and helped lock in the heel slip issues that have been widely reported.

I sent a email a while back recommending that the Bondi and the Carbon X should be combined into one shoe, the Bondi X. I'm not sure if I was the only voice heard but nevertheless the perfect shoe is now on my feet minus $200. The shoe is the best I have put on my feet yet, it has all the features I have been looking for after many, many shoes which have mostly been Hokas. I doubt this shoe will be challenged any time soon, all the other brands of running shoes are now seriously behind.
The only small recommendation I can make is the tongue, it needs some more padding mainly in the center where the laces have the most effect. Most runners feet swell the longer they run making the laces tighter against the top of the foot, uncomfortable pain follows even if the laces were snug( not tight) to start. Just a little more in the center will do not the whole tongue.
Overall...... a well done design that is very difficult to match and combines several different Hoka models into one.

Since I do most of my walking on hard surfaces, excellent shoe. I'd suggest different colors & black as well for the working people who walk a lot on hard surfaces all day long.

These are my 5th pair of Hoka's and for me the best. After 5 surgeries on my foot the carbon plate helps me get through my runs without a lot of pain. The toe box is nice and wide allowing me to insert my custom orthotic and the ride is cushy...., But, the color of the shoe, which is the only choice at this time is horrendous. Please make some other color choices.

I had great success running in the Bondi 7 and thought I'd give the carbon plate thing a try. That feature didn't even get a chance as I found the crummy feeling upper and the dumb tongue to be horrible. I put them back in the box and exchanged them for the Bondi 7 again. The tongue design is horrible, it has an almost sharp edge and definitely would have cut into my leg had I worn them for any length of time. It's the same reason I skipped the Speedgoat for the Challenger. Hoka needs to drop this dumb tongue design.

The ride is excellent. Not as cushioned as the regular Bondi but still nice with a great rocker action for heal strikers.
2 flaws:
-The tongue is not long enough. Should be cushioned and the same as the regular Bondi
- My biggest grip with Hokas and I have complained to no avail. While these shoes have become popular in the general population they are made for long distance runners. The sock liner has writing all over it with rubberized material. This balls up as it wears away and rubs. I have gotten blisters on 20 mile runs and almost missed a marathon as a result. There is no advertising value to be had in this. REMOVE ALL LOGOS ETC FROM THE INSIDE OF ALL OF YOUR SHOES

I absolutely love this shoe by Hoka. Cushioned, yet super responsive. The carbon fiber plate is well worth the price tag. I put these in my marathon training rotation and I've logged at least 500 miles on them. I wore them on race day and they felt great. I'm now training for shorter races but these still allow me to push the pace!
I've seen some negative reviews on here about tongue length. I definitely agree, that's my only qualm about this shoe. However, i just didn't lace the top hole and never had any problems with it. Something to keep in mind though if you need the top holes laced for support.
Bottom line - amazing mid/long distance road trainer. Feels super responsive but you can easily take you 15+ miles. Even though I should retire my pair, I still take these out occasionally for easy runs and with 500+ miles they feel amazing. Definitely ordering another pair.

Most comfortable shoe ever purchased. Ideal for walking and running and very stylish. I wear the shoes to the gym and continuously receive compliments. I plan on purchasing other styles in the very near future. Worth every penny!!

I run marathons in the Bondi X. It's a great shoe but it has some durability issues. As a bigger runner the inside area of the heel cup often wears out before the shoe does.

I’m on my feet 10 hours a day at work. My last pair of shoes were Hoka Bondi 7’s. Great shoes. Lots of cushion and my feet never hurt. I got the Hoka X wanting even more cushioning. Unfortunately, they are not as good as the Bondi 7. Save yourself $50 and buy the 7’s.

I was so excited to get these. They felt great in the store. But the first time I tried to run in them the laces cut into my foot because of the lack of tongue. I bought these to do my Sunday long runs in, and they are so plush yet responsive they are amazing. But every time I would run the top of my foot would hurt due to the laces. If they put the tongue from the Bondi 7 on this I would buy 5 pair. I had to trade them in for another pair of 7s. I am hoping they come out with an X 2 with better upper.

I would buy this one again - and I will. I start every morning with a hike/run of 6 miles or more and the cushioning on this shoe is great. The fit is great. I have a really high arch and prone to plantar fasciitis and this shoe seems to offer great support and protection.

I've been wearing Tennis Shoes, although I don't play tennis and never have; so let's say I've been wearing sneakers, gym shoes, or athletic shoes since I was old enough to get my older brother's 'hand-me-down' Chuck Taylor's Converse basketball shoes back in the 60s.
Hoping to reduce some minor foot pain that seems to have come from nowhere, I did some online research and decided to try a pair of HOKAs. I bought 4 pairI'm like that, thinking one pair of the four would stand out as my 'go-to' shoe for the foreseeable future, and I would gift the other three pair to my grandsons. But none stood out. Each pair is a major improvement over all other shoesnot just sporting shoesin my closet.
Hands down, HOKAs are the best shoes I own. They're well designed, well crafted, light weight, andabove allHOKAs are ridiculously comfortable all day long.
I'm going to Montana next month for a week of hiking, exploring, and etc.. The only shoes making the trip with me are HOKAs.
Keep up the good work, keep creating new styles, and by all means keep offering all manner of colors.

My first few runs with the Bondi X were just awkward: the shoe felt too big, the foam was unresponsive, and they were strangely tight where you lace them up. After running 10 times in them, I like them much better now. The foam acquired a wonderful softness without being squishy. It's just good for your feet and your joints. I have a few Hoka pairs, and like them all. This is becoming one of my favorite pair.
