Switched from Bondi to Bondi X and am glad I did. The price difference was worth the upgrade.

Needed carbon inserts for my left big toe arthritis. Really comfortable and back to walking 5-10 miles with no pain.

Space for toes with added performance. After 200 km still stiff but providing better fit each training.

I love all the Hoka running shoes I have purchased. Because of some injuries to my keens, and feet in the military, I can only run on very soft surfaces or treadmills. I use the Bondi's. They are so comfortable . I wear a size 7 1/2 and buy all my Hoka's size 8.

For me, this is the right amount of cushion and with the carbon plate it gets a little bit of snap. I was able to get over 300 miles my first pair before I felt a real change in the cushion. This is by far my favorite shoe to run in.

I had to return because they run extremely big. Unfortunately, my size was not available so I never got to experience this shoe. Could have purchased at 1.5 size smaller.

Definitely a game changer! The X is superior to the Bondi simply because of the tongue. It feels like I'm wearing a comfoortable sock! Will never buy another support shoe!

I took one year off of Running because of repeated calf strains using my brooks glycerin15-19. I have used orthotics for plantar fasciitis for the last 20 years. I decided to give the Hoka Bondi's a chance, I was hesitant due to cost. And I must say after putting on 20 miles I have not had a calf strain, knock on wood. I have also ditched my orthotics as the Hoka Bondi's have given my arch, all the support it needs. Of course, stretching and warming up have been a big part of it but these shoes are the real deal.

Bought 4 pair (3 for me and 1 for my wife) in last half year, all 5-star - looks, comfort, service. Returning 4th one, as it is (embarrassingly) looking like my 1st 2.

super shoe, on par and probably better than the Carbon X model which I bought last year. nicer color than the blue Carbon X which I bought. AS comfortable as my Brooks Hyperion Elite 3. Not quite as comfortable as my Nike Alpha Fly or Vapor fly which are my favorites but all together a super purchase, well worth the money. The carbon fiber layer is the way to go now a days. Wish I'd had shoes like these when I was doing serious running in the 70's and 80's when I was much younger.

I am an old guy who has run in Bondis for years to cushion my stride as I approach 80. I have about 50 miles on the x's and can report that the carbon plate does seem to work for me. I find that the harder I push off, the better it works.

I bought the Bondi X 8 months ago, have put over 300 miles on the shoes and they have held up great. The shoe you purchase is all relative to the running you do. I just completed the Rocky Raccoon 100M and wore these shoes the entire race (yes that's right, I wore a street shoe on a trail race) and it went flawlessly, finished in 26hrs (if that's even relevant). A few hot spots during the race and a few blisters but it's a 100 miles, what do you expect. THERE IS NO OTHER SHOE as comfortable as the Bondi X on long runs. Hands down. I can't speak to the carbon plate whether it's worth it or not. I have it in the show but it doesn't perform miracles nor was it supposed too. I just have no complaints about this show. Durable, cushiony, suitable for SOME trail races and absolutely the way to go for ultra running. I've been running for a total of 8 months so being new to running my feet would be sensitive to what a shoe offers, the Bondi X has taken great care of me. 2 months into my 8 months of running, I ran 26 miles from one town to the next and again a week later 40 miles from one town to the next and my feet felt great. I would digest this shoe to anyone desiring to run long distances and have minimal foot pain. I also use the Bondi X as my daily trainer.

Please, please do not ever discontinue this shoe! On my third pair now and I won't even consider another brand/model unless I have to. The comfort level is off the charts...and there is no going back to anything else. My first Hoka pair as Clifton 8...very comfy but without the high performance stature. A walking shoe. Second pair was Rincon 3...super lightweight, good for most sports. Now in Bondi X...the one for everything! A bit larger profile, but I hardly ever take them off my feet. Highly recommended!

After I developed plantar faciitis a few years ago, i switched to the plush Bondi 6, 7 & 8 running shoes; and I used Superfeet Green inserts to help with the pressure points. That combination really helped. I was able to keep jogging without any problems. Now my feet are almost back to normal, and I want to stop using the inserts - So I just tried the Bondi X with no inserts. I have had them for over 2 weeks now, and I love running in these shoes. They fit perfectly right out of the box & my runs have been great. I typically run 3 or 4 times per week between 4k - 8k.
