First of all, they took forever go get here because they got lost. When I finally got the shoes are very comfortable but they bottom of the shoe came apart in the second wear. Since I reported them lost they told me to send them back. I sent them back May 16th and haven't heard back or gotten my money back.

Runners beware. Here starts the inevitable decline of a good shoe. There’s been a subtle decline since the Clifton 1, but nothing significant till now. This has always been a cushioned shoe, but always had support to the body that indicated it’s quality. This show overall is cheap and lacks any support and the cushion is deteriorating way faster than previous models. Other reviews online state that the shoe overall is breaking down cosmetically as well, though I have not yet experienced this issue (but I only have logged about 100 miles thus far). Unless they correct and improve, they will eventually lose at least their athletic customer base.

This shoe did not fit/perform according to description. After a single run, my ankles were throbbing.

I bought these as a recommendation from my doctor. I tried one other kind from HOKA, and returned them because they gave me blisters. These ones weren't super comfortable, but better then the first pair I got, and unfortunately after my 30 day trial, my feet started getting blisters with these too. Right now, I have 5 blisters on my feet. I don't like these shoes at all!

Hoka shoes have been a disappointment recently, their overall durability and quality has seemed to decline in the past couple of years. These do not last long compared to many different brands holes in the heel happen within 2-3 months.

I was so excited to try these shoes after great reviews. It might be just my feet, but they aren't comfortable for me.

TOO WIDE!
Offer the Clifton 4 or 5 again. All the changes have made this shoe unwearable.

Buyers beware. I bought the identical shoe and size in August 2021. HOKA has again changed the width and length of their shoe. This happened on another model about 2 years ago, the HOKA One One Challenger ATR between the 5 and 6. So why? Maybe saves money on materials or manufacturing. HOKA will lose a few customers but I assume they have taken that into consideration. ZAPPOS being an excellent company will replace or return your money so they are the losers in HOKA's little scam. On another topic about HOKA shoes, they may be cushioned but they have no life. In casual wear, you will need to replace them every 6 months, less if you are a dedicated runner. They are the only running shoe I haveowned that seem to go flat.

They don't have as much structure and support as I expected and hoped for. They seem very bulky and too squishy/ soft.

Only wore them 5 weeks and the right shoe was broken down so bad. I'm in the process of returning them to try another pair

I have had three versions of Hoka Cliftons and for some reason, these are not comfortable on my feet! It actually makes it harder to walk in them and I am not sure why. I am disappointed because I have lifted in my two other versions of the Clifton.

I am so devastated over this! I was so looking forward to love these shoes. I am a nurse and need comfortable shoes to be on my feet all day. Without a doubt they are comfortable, but only after a few wears within a month time period the fabric literally began to rip and fall aport inside the shoe where the heel is. Then the paint began to fade on the outer part of the shoe! I am only walking in these shoes and that is the "wear and tear" that occurred in such short time. Unacceptable for the price point.

I have loved my last two pairs of Clifton's but these shoes have my limping from heel pain on my left side. I do think they may have a manufacturer defect, I can feel the lining more on the left side

I gotta be honest. I'm so disappointed in these shoes. I had been wanting to try hoka for a long time since I need comfort and have heard good things about these shoes. After a couple of hours, my feet are tired and by the end of the day, my feet hurt. I was hesitant to make the purchase cause they are so expensive
and Im honestly very surprised they did not meet my expectations. Im sad Hoka :(

I really wanted a pair of “girl” shoes. I got the wide to fit my orthotics, nope. Even without the orthotic the arch hit me in the wrong place, not even comfortable standing still. Too narrow.

I liked the Clifton 4 best. No new version will ever top that. I hate these but they are the best of the worst. The 8 again is on the wide size. Why are medium width sneakers getting so wide when there are wide widths available? I wear these sneakers for running but I think they are now made for those standing on their feet all day or those overweight. But what about the rest of us with regular feet that need good work out sneakers that last more than 3 months? Shame on Hoka.

Fine for first 30 days. History of bilateral arthritis in feet and metatarsalgia. I wear 3x week, gym use only. Typically wallk 4 miles on treadmill, plus weight training. Following day my knees and feet are very painful. Insufficient cushioning at forefront. Sole of Clifton sneaker is not firm enough. Very disappointed in these sneakers. I would not recommend Hoka Clifton, nor are they a good value for your money.

Without inserts it's like walking on concrete. The shoes are 150.00 and up. The inserts are 75.00 and up. My as well purchased in the inserts and place in a cheaper pair of shoes.

I was really happy with the blue and rose color however, the shoe itself is very disappointing. I own the Clifton 6 and love them. The Clifton 8 is not comfortable, no cushion and my heal slips in them. Hoka's are wonderful but the only good thing about these shoes is the color.

I own a pair of Bondi 7 and Clifton 7. I bought the Bondi at Fit2Run and I ordered the Clifton 7 online. I love both pair. But the Clifton 8 make my heels hurt. I can't wear them for any length of time. Thanks

This pair of Clifton 8's was a huge step down for me. I have been an avid Clifton junkie and finally had to get a new pair, my previous gen being the 7's and these smashed my toes from all sides, especially from the top. Every step was like a guillotine was trying to remove my toes from the joints. The fabric on top was much denser than the 7's and was folding down on to my toes. The sole seemed super stiff too. They were even aggravating an old bursitis injury that was never a problem in my 7's. I tried them with the stock insole, my old orthotics, and my new orthotics, and they were simply unwearable. Overall, it seemed that instead of breaking my shoes in, which I never had to do with my previous Cliftons, these shoes were going to break in my feet instead.
