I have two pairs of the Clifton's- one in regular width and one in wide, They both rub the inside of my feet and have created sores and blisters. The padding of the shoe is thicker then regular or "normal" shoes, I wear these 13,000 steps a day at a hospital though, maybe at the gym they'd be better. Probably won't purchase again.

I love Hoka shoes and have been buying the Bondi style for years and years - but I decided to try this style as I normally buy the Bondi style. What a bummer that I have to say this - and with all due respect, but this is the worse shoe I have ever tried - it was so uncomfortable and had no support at all and I could barely walk. It feels like it is just going to crumble and feels very cheap. I tried it for two days and I had to give up. I wanted to exchange them for the Bondi 7, but you no longer have my size. I need an 8 Wide. I will return these and come back to condider the Bondi 8 style once the price is a more afforable. My apologies, I really tried.

After only five weeks of wear for walking, the lining of the heel area has torn and the tear is expanding. I will send these back with a warranty claim.
VERY disappointed in Hoka, as i have been buying Cliftons for at least five years.

I bought these shoes after many recommendations and after consulting with a specialist in a running store. I had high hopes for this pair of shoes for long, comfortable walks. After 3-4 weeks I got holes on the inside of my heel and it hurt my foot. I sent them under warranty. I got a response from Hoka that this is the normal condition of the sneakers and return is non-warranty and non-refundable. What? Really? How can these holey scuffs be normal after a few weeks? Are you kidding me? I have never had this problem with any pair of running shoes. I do not recommend this product. I am disappointed with wearing this shoes and with Hoka's response.

They feel a bit strange on the bottom of my foot maybe it's the wrong size or something but heard many good things but very disappointed in the fit for the price. I am hoping they get better with more wear but they hurt too much to even try.

Right shoe was normal and comfortable however left side squeezed and rubbed the outside of my foot something terrible! So uncomfortable! Would not recommend!

I had the highest of hopes for these shoes. I bought them for a work conference I knew we'd be doing a lot of walking for. The first two days wearing these shoes really hurt and I just thought they needed broke in. After many more wears they still hurt my feet pretty bad. I'm so sad!

I can see them being okay for light walking; however, compared to other running shoes on the market, they weren't for me. I need good shoes for my work and I couldn't get through the first couple hours with these. I was really disappointed, because I heard really good things about them.

There was a weird plastic that I could feel on the inside of the shoe. The rest of the shoe felt fine. I wore them in the house and I was very aware of that rubbing on the side. I returned them.

These shoes feel great. I bought 3 pairs I loved them so much. HOWEVER, now the soles are coming apart. Some I have barely worn. You can't really glue it back into place and have it stay either. Such a dissapointment. I cannot recommend these shoes. I will keep looking.

I have had these shoes for barely a month and they are already ripping away from the soles. I only wear them to work, which is very frustrating as they are not worn in any rough situation. Very disappointed for the amount of money spent

These shoes felt true to size and width. Unfortunately they are the worst running shoe I’ve ever worn. I had read so many good things about Hoka I decided to give them a try. Sadly for me, it doesn’t matter what I do, after 15 minutes of wearing these shoes my toes are numb on both feet and my achilles will ache for 2-3 days after wearing them. I’ve only worn them at most 10 times and half have been just trying to break them in around the house (hoping I could make this expensive pair of shoes work). I’ve never had this problem with any other brand of running shoe. Unfortunately I was too stubborn in trying to make them work and it appears I won’t even be able to get Hoka to make it right as it’s been over 30 days since I bought them. I’ve quit trying to wear these and will just have to cry in my coffee over the lost investment. (Just for reference, I’m not a competitive racer, I simply run or walk for healthy exercise.)
