First of all, it might not have been the shoe. It could have been my feet. These were so uncomfortable I had to return them. Couldn't even wear them for 1/2 an hour. I ordered wide and although they were wide in the toe, the instep was not. The seams rubbed against my foot and the insert gouged my instep. I so wanted to like these shoes but just couldn't bear the pain.

No different than my other sneakers except for the outrageous price.
Would love to return them!!

This sneaker is not designed for all day wear. It has zero arch support. Great colors but terrible shoe. Don't waste your money.

I bought these shoes specifically for bunion relief. I couldn't even wear them. They immediately pressed too hard on my bunion which caused pain.

The shoes itself is too bulky, doesn't really have a "look". The shoes are fairly light and so I expected it to be super comfortable but somehow it has a weird kind of support where my feet arch could feel it which is not too comfortable at all.

I've never had to get wide shoes before but I think I would have to with this product. The soles cut in so sharply that they hurt after walking in them for a little bit.

I have 6 pairs of Clifton's and 2 of them are Clifton 8's purchased within the last year. These Clifton 8s had less cushioning in them than the 2 Clifton 8s I've been wearing for 9+ months. I wore them only around the house for about 10 days thinking maybe they just needed to "loosen" up, but the improved cushioning never came. I wondered if there was a manufacturing error or if Hoka is cutting corner.s. I returned them. The left shoe felt tight; though the right shoe felt just like my other Clifton's. Perhaps the left shoe just needed to stretch some?

I have high arches & wear a regular width shoe but for some reason the soles dug into the sides of my arches. I had plenty of room in the toe box part of the shoe but it narrowed where my arch was. I am not sure if something in the sole or under was digging right into the middle sides of my feet but it was very painful. Shipping is expensive too otherwise I'd have trimmed with a different style.

I usually wear Wide in other brands with no issues. Hoka Wide is tighter than the rest.

Cute sneakers, I was very excited to get them and the moment I put them on something about how the shoe is made just hurts the arch of my feet. I had to return them. Clifton 9 are very comfy though.

Hoka shoes cause pain to the leg, toes and arch, this was recommended for walking but it was horrible, also hoka return process is painfully 2 weeks now no refund and the tracking says picked up by the agent so no information.

The shoes are great and very comfy except for the right one, there is something that hits the inside of my foot, after I've been on my feet all day the right foot really bothers me because there is something inside the right shoe on the padding that digs and presses into my foot! If possible I'd love to send them back to swap for a new pair

I was looking for a comfy shoe to walk and workout in. I typically buy Nike and Adidas wanted to try the Hoka brand. I read reviews on multiple sites to get a fair sense of which Hoka to get and why. My research led to me the Clifton 8s being better than the newer 9s and lucky me they were cheaper. And they come in wide-so i cld orfer my normal size and not have to size up to accommodate my wide foot-SCORE! I get my order and I wear them for a full day to a cheer comp where there's tons of walking and being on your feet. I typically never have any issues when I wear my tennis shoes but flip flops and sandals are the uncomfortable days. Well by midday I was noticing a rub/irritating feeling on the inside of my arch on both feet. By evening I cldnt wait to take them off and the only place that was sore was that area. Never felt that in any other shoe. I was disappointed but knew I had to return. Just waiting for the return process to finish. The 8s were pretty, well made and I had high hopes but just not made for these feet.

I've had these shoes since October, I have washed them as I always wash my shoes. The bottom of my shoes have come off in the dryer. Not satisfied with this purchase at all. I didn't know they were only going to last for 5 months, I also had to buy inserts for comfortability.

For what these shoes cost, you'd think the company would offer free shipping. For the price of these shoes, I did not think the hype was great. They were too big and uncomfortable. Did not love so I returned.
Disappointed,

The sneakers were bought after my knee replacement. When I received them they were way to big in the toe area even though I purchased the normal width. After wearing them in my house for just 30 minutes my entire foot was hurting. They may be great sneakers but they are not for me. I had to return them.

Not even close to comfortable. Haven't been able to wear them more than a few minutes at a time. Thought I just needed to get used to them maybe, or try to break them in, but it does not seem to be getting better :(

I am not really loving my new Clifton 8s. Sole feels a little weird compared to my other running shoes. Its like something rubs on the bottom of your feet as you are running or taking steps.

I am new to HOKA - the sneakers are very narrow. After first wear noticed a tightness bit willing to try again and get through a break in process. The second wear caused a significant blood blister in the area they was tight. Has to return. Never had issues in any other sneaker brand, I don't own and wear any shoes that are sized Wide
