I ordered an 8.5 wide and they fit like a regular sized sneaker. My feet were hanging off both sides and they just weren't comfortable. I also didn't like that the heel doesn't have as much support because it felt like I was falling backwards when I stood still. Had to return.

I wore them a week and they hurt all week, I put my hand in the shoe and it's all hard plastic, no cushion at all. I returned them.

I ordered the Clifton 8 in blanc de blanc and the first pair came with a stain on the right shoe. Also, the right shoe looked like it was an off white color while the left shoe looked bright white. I called customer service and they recommended returning and placing a new order. I did so. I got my second pair and they also came stained. A huge stain on the left toe area of the shoe and again the right and left shoe didn't look like the same color of white. Super bummed because I was excited to get these shoes while on sale. Needless to say I will not be placing a third order. While speaking to customer service I did ask how to prevent these shoes from getting in the hands of another person for them to experience the same disappointment and they said to leave a note with the shoes, hopefully that takes care of it. I can't believe there isn't some type of quality control in place to prevent this from occurring especially multiple times and customer service did say there have been others that have experienced this same issue. Disappointing to say the least.

I wear my Clifton 8 for general wear and also walking for exercise. I started wearing the Clifton 8 a couple of weeks ago and I have experienced leg and low back soreness.

The shoes are marketed as wide, but they are not truly wide. I started wearing them and at first they felt fine but after wearing them all day at work, they started to press into the outside edge of my feet, and it ended up being truly painful. There's no way you can wear them all day if you have wide feet. Of course now I'm stuck with them, as you cannot return shoes that you've worn. So I've got these expensive shoes I'm stuck with; it is so frustrating. I would never buy this brand again. If you've got wide feet or feet that spread, definitely look elsewhere. I'm so angry at myself for spending this much money on these useless shoes.

I am a 8.5 wide in 99% of running shoes (brooks, nike etc). I really wanted to love these shoes, I see so many trainers I follow using them, and I really need cusion for running. The arch was uncomfortable, and took a while to get used to, but these were so large that I was unstable in them. If I am running on a tread it is good, if I have to do any weights, HIIT, floor work they are too big and I am sliding all over in the shoe. One day while walking my child to school i jogged a few steps to keep up, and tripped on the too big shoe and broke my ankle. I am really disappointed and frankly upset that I spent so much on these shoes, as these do not fit. The reviews that say they run narrow are not right.

The right shoe was fine but the left shoe felt like it had a bump around the arch (the middle part of the shoe). I wore it twice but it hurt my foot. Three weeks later my food still hurts, hopefully it didn't damage my foot extensively and it heals soon.

I wanted a shoe that would be diverse with different styles of running and locations so I went with the Clifton's. I went to a store and I was convinced to get a whole size bigger (which made sense because I needed more room) but after actually running in them, they're too big. I think sizing up is a good idea but only a half size bigger would be better.

I have had these shoes for a couple weeks now and the traction on the bottom is coming off already. This is my first pair and they came highly recommended. I was excited to get them. The comfort is amazing but I am beyond disappointed at how how much traction I've lost in a couple weeks.

I dont know if it's the shoe or my foot. I really dislike these shoes. The foot bed digs into my foot and is painful to walk. Do not recommend.

Started having pain in my foot after less than a week because of the insufficient arch support and cushioning in the forefoot. Had to add gel inserts just to keep using. Shouldn't be necessary for a shoe that costs this much.

Had high hopes for these shoes but didn't help at all with my plantar fasciitis. Actually, my feet hurt worse after wearing them. Very disappointing. I returned them.

Decided to try this shoe, they seem to get a lot of good reviews. However, I am not impressed with the shoe for the cost.

I wasn't going to write a review because well, if you can't say anything nice... Unfortunately Hoka will not quit pestering me to write a review, so here goes. The fabric is so flimsy on these shoes, I'm sure I will have a hole at the toe within a few weeks. Even at almost half price, I feel like I grossly overpaid for what I got. They look like cheapo shoes from a discount store. Okay Hoka, you got your review, now leave me alone.

I returned these shoes after I tried them on. I removed the shoe's insole and put my orthotic in its place. the toe box was too low profile to fit my foot. mytoes were uncomfortably swished the size seemed correct but they were too tight.

I wanted to love this but they hurt so badly. My feet ached after wearing them for a couple of hours and I was just walking around. The shoes fit but they just hurt.
