After wearing the sneakers for a while the outside of my front feet start to hurt. I bought them to go on our European vacation and I was trying to break them in since we will be doing a lot of walking. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear it. I bought a 91/2 but most of the time I wear a nine.

I love the first pair of Hokas (Rincon 3) that I bought. But not a big fan of this pair (Clifton 8). The color is black/white, however the white midsole looks grayish. Maybe it's due to the dyeing process. I wanted them to look like they did online with a white midsole. As for the fit, the right shoe fit perfectly but the left shoe felt more narrow and is uncomfortable to wear. Unfortunately, I'm unable to return the shoes since I used afterpay. Next time I'll choose a different color or buy another pair of Rincon 3. Thanks

I thought I would try these out, since I have worn Carbon X for a few years and dio not like the newest version (X3). I sent these back for exchange and ended up buying Mach 5. The Clifton was too heavy for me, since I am used to a lighter shoe on my 8-10 mile runs. They just didn't feel as comfortable as the Carbon. I know this review is for the Clifton, but the Mach 5 will be my new shoe until I see more improvements and better review for the Carbon X.

My wife ordered a pair of the Clifton 8 shoes and they were too tight and we had to send them back. She already had a pair of Clifton 7 in the same size and they fit fine.

Not as comfortable as everyone makes them seem

I loved my Clifton 7's. Why would you do this to the Clifton? They were perfect! These put my feet to sleep; they must just be that narrow. I have wide feet and loved the big comfy cliftons! No more, unfortunately.

I have a pair of Mach 4's I really liked but after I started marathon training I thought I might want a shoe with a little more padding for easy and medium-long runs. I know several people who love their Cliftons so I bought a pair. These shoes were soooo uncomfortable. They beat up my forefoot and the entire inside line of both feet. They actually felt harder than my Mach 4's too. I did a 4 mile run and a 9-10 mile run and both times my feet hurt by the end. I couldn't get them off fast enough. I had the local run store check the size and it was not a size issue. I don't know why the Machs feel so great and the Cliftons felt so awful but they did. I returned the Cliftons and got a pair of Mach 5's. The Mach 5's are so comfy in comparison.

I love the look of the shoes and seem to be of great quality but they are WAY too narrow! I do not have wide feet and maybe it is because I don't have a high arch either, but there is a tough cushion on the inside of your feet that hurts for me to walk on!!! Sad I will have to return them because they are so cute! :(

The shoes looked good (like the picture) but I didn't know till I got these hoka shoes that I have flat feet. If you have FLAT feet DO NOT buy them. The pain I had for the 3 days I used them was horrible. I'm not exaggerating! But it wasn't the shoes the problem, it was my feet. So I returned them with no problem at all even when I used them for 3 days. So customer service was great! I think his name was Issac I did everything online and it was great!.

I returned these shoes because I could not get the laces to shore up the "slop" on the back heal. I don't care for the new shape of the back heal area. I feel like I was walking out of them.

This pair was super uncomfortable and was not upto usual HOKA standards at all. I love my HOKA shoes and I refuse to wear anything else but these ones were not worth the money at all.
