Comfy at first. I ordered my usual 8.5 wide and there was room to spare at the top of the toe box.
When running, it feels like the soles of my feet are on fire bc the sides are being pushed up. Hard to explain but I saw another buyer comment the same thing. I returned for at 8 wide. Maybe it's too roomy??

Not as comfortable as I hoped. After a few miles of walking the ball of my feet hurt.

LOVE the look- love the feel- until I started to run in them. Bought three different pairs and even alt size of the same style and couldn't find relief for pressure at the major pinky toe joint. Totally dumbfounded as I'd never have suspected. I don't have wide feet but perhaps age and motherhood has made this now likely and therefore the Clifton's are not my choice. I'd say great for regular and narrow feet unless you have a tailors bunion I suppose. Laces just too long!

Shoes were too big, even though I bought the size I wear 90% of the time. Also, I felt that although it had a ton of cushion in the heel, it did not have enough on the ball of my foot. I'mgoing to have to go to a store in person and try on before buying.

I like the color. It just doesn't have the support my previous Hoka Clinton style had.

My number one reason was because the shoes looked like they'd been tried on. The more I inspected the shoe the more suspicious I got. There was trash inside like leaves or mulch and the bottom of the shoe was a little dirty.
My second reason was because the receipt included in the box had someone else's information so that means the receipt with my information was sent to someone else.

I should have done more research on which shoe to choose. My feet hurt after standing in them for an hour.

I gave 3 stars because I know they are a favorite for many. I was very hopeful to like these based on multiple friends who love them. I tested them out for a few days around the house and wore them for a 5k. Unfortunately, they hurt my left so badly. I think because my feet don't have a large arch it just may not have been the best fit. I have many friends who love them, but I was bummed that they didn't work for me. I ended up with the Mach5 and they're perfect for my foot. Definitely try them out since I know most love them, but for me they just weren't the right shoe for my foot.

This is my 4th pair of Cliftons since 2019. I had 1 pair Clifton 7 which literally were life altering and I swore never to try another sneaker on and felt confident to order online without trying out first. My next 2 Clifton 8 were just as good but my recent pair has noticeably less of a cloud like feel and a smaller toe box which I also loved in my previous pairs. I did put them up to the old pair to compact and they are slightly narrower and more pointed. I will have to go back to trying sneakers on before purchasing another pair.
If you are asking for requests team Hoka -please go back to the old cushioning.

The shoes squeak with my insoles and when I do my workout I get blisters on my pinky toes and the arches/balls of my feet. You can stand for a long time but high intensity movement is not good with this shoe.

The sole is comfortable and cushy but they fit a bit odd. A little too tight in the front of the foot, but way too wide in the heel. I can feel my heel slipping out of them when I walk, even if they are laced tightly. If we are just talking length of shoe, they fit true to size. The width is the issue.

I bought a wide shoe but why is it very tight in the middle section? I can't wait to remove them due to the pain!!

I wore my new shoes for the first time today. I have to wear a lift in my left shoe so this was not very comfortable. My other HOKA shoes are good with the lift but I am not sure I will keep these since they were not great on my feet. Very disappointed in this.

Comfortable but felt larger in the toe area and much more more narrow than another Hoka shoe I own. Not consistent sizing

I like HOKA but..they are very LOUD. The cushion and support are perfect but I hate making so much noise walking down the street.

I have worn these three times and went by the website guidelines for sizing and how I am going to use them. My toes get numb even though I have loosened the laces and tried many things. I also got a large blister. I want them to work so will try a few more times to see if they are just too stiff.

Something is a little "off" about the arch support. Perhaps I need more? Also, by the end of the day my feet feel overheated. That said, they are comfortable overall.

My job requires me to work on my feet 12 hrs a day. I bought the Bondi 7. And I really love the support it provides. I thought I would purchase another pair to interchange in between. When I saw the sale for Clifton I thought I would give it a try since it's Hoka. But after wearing it a couple of hours my feet hurts and feel a burning sensation to the palm of my feet. I think it didn't provide enough cushions. I returned back to the store and getting Bondi 8 instead.

I have an original pair of Clifton One Ones that I love, so I was looking to replace them in kind. The Clifton 8s have a rigid heel that, by the looks and feel of it, will never soften, and I could tell from just walking around the house that it was going to chafe my foot no matter how I tied the shoes. One shoe also had an irritating edge to the arch area. The Clifton 9s have a tongue that doesn't stop... way too long and uncomfortable on the top of my foot. It's great to expand your product line, but leave alone what already works and keep it available! I don't want the bulk of the Bondi, and I don't need running shoes... so I wait. :(
