I purchased two pairs of HOKA because i have arthritis in both my knees and need a good walking shoe. I went online and chose two different pairs. They arrived separately but promptly. The first pair i did not like, felt too flimsy. but the second seemed much more like a sneaker should fit, good support on sides and a cushioned walk. I get the same feeling when i buy a decent pair of Nike of adidas, just not sure what all the hype is about.

I tied them on quickly in a store, decided to go with a wide due to how narrow they felt, The shoes are still snug narrow feeling. The arch isn't hitting in the right place for me at all. It might just not be the right shoe for my foot.

I just bought my first pair of Clifton 8s at my local shoe store. They were great , so I promptly ordered a pair of the same model and size, different color, from your online sale. These were supposedly the same shoe, but the ones from the online store were shorter and had a narrower toe box, so I had to return them.

The shoe itself is so comfortable, like walking on clouds. But from the minute I put them on I had a feeling I was going to return them. The back of the shoe digs into the back of my heel so uncomfortably. The same feeling as if you slipped on sneakers in a hurry and the heel of the shoe is balled up inside. I gave these two weeks but they begin to feel painful and felt as though they were bruising my heel. will be trying another pair.

They're not as sturdy or cushioned as the Bondi 7s & 8s

I absolutely loved my last pair of Hoka's, but it did take me a few weeks of running to get used to them. I generally run about 90 miles a week.

But I just don't think this is the right shoe for me. I really loved the amount of cushion these offer. It made every step feel like nothing! Unfortunately, I had issues with my toes going numb while walking in these, so I decided to return them.

I want to love them. I got a pair of hoka years ago from my brother. They just killed my feet. They were very painful to wear. So my big sister was here visiting a few weeks ago and we went to visit colonial Williamsburg. I wore my hokas.. going that they world be great. I was in so much pain by the end of the day, and my sister, who is a podiatrist nurse practitioner said x you need wider shoes. As I was starting a competition with work on how many steps we can get working from home, I purchased a wide pair of Cliftons a couple of weeks ago. I try it. I've been putting in miles, hoping that I just need to wear them in but I put them on today and it just feels like I have a block of wood pushing on my arch. On both feet. I've done research and see that others have had issues with the arch. Just take heed. They may not work for you.

These are ok. I love my Bondi pairs the best. These are not as cushioned and the toe box feels more narrow even in the wide width. Love the color. Glad they were on sale. I'm a nurse so I need the extra cushion for long shifts on my feet.

Ive owned several other Hokas and have been satisfied but the recent Clifton model did not work well at all. On first afternoon wearing at work (nurse on her feet 12 hours) I noticed my feet and knees aching. Thought it was coincidence but continued to happen next 3 days out of the week only when I wore these tennis shoes. Not happy and will have to try another model.

The shoes are smaller than the Nikes. We order a 9.5 but it should have been a 10

I purchased the Clifton 8 because they were on sale. However, I wish I would've purchased a Bondi. It's more comfortable for my feet.

I have plantar and the footbed is almost too soft. They fit fine but am concerned that they will escalate the foot pain. Do you make them with a harder insert?

Everyone says to size up on running shoes. This is the second pair of Hoka I purchase & this time the sizing up did not really work. The arch of the shoe falls slightly higher than the arch of my foot. I didn't have that problem on the Mach 4 so I figured I'd size up but not the best decision.

I have been wearing Hoka shoes for the last 7 years and started out with the Clifton 5, which were very durable. Since that time I have purchased the Bondi 7, 8 and Clifton 6,7,8, they are not lasting as long with the same amount of exercise.

There was so much hype about the Clifton, I thought I'd give it a try with a sale on the Clifton8. Started indoors. Wore outside walking a couple of times. The fit overall was good, but my foot seemed to shift and I felt I was walking more with an outside lean of my foot( this probably has a condition name). I don't usually experience this in my shoes. So, it's okay. I'm checking to see if I can return. If not, I'll probably wear them occasionally or try to resell.

I was so excited for these shoes, only to be disappointed. I do have prescription orthotic inserts. However, the shoe seems to somehow transfer all the forces to the outer forefoot rather than evenly across the forefoot, or toward the big toe. It doesn't squeeze my toes, which is good. Sad I haven't found my holy grail. Back to my Merrill's I guess.

Friends who wear Hokas raved about them, but I feel a bit off-balance when I'm wearing them. They're okay, just not great.

The shoes are great but the front of the toe area is too narrow. Not at all like what I have had before. I have bunions on my left foot - the narrow fit is now creating a blister above it.

I had these shoes for 8 months when they started to fall apart. I have never had a shoe do that and some Nikes I have had for 2 or 3 years are still in tact and I wear them equally. At this time I have had these shoes exactly one year and sadly they aren't wearable due to the backs falling apart on the inside. I purchased the Clifton 9 in hopes this won't happen again. They are very comfortable and we're great up until the 8 month mark
