These shoes are light and airy and cushioned in all the right spots. Been avoiding longer runs as I age but these made a world of difference for my knees! I have been an avid Asics running shoe fan and I'm so glad I took the plunge and made the change. Worth it!

I usually go 1/2 to 1 size up in a running shoe, but in the Hoka Clifton 8, my street shoe size (8.5) was a perfect fit. Toe box was generous, allowing light cushion socks & some toe wiggle room).

It fits very well . I added stronger arch support insoles recomended by my foot doctor. My Hokas are perfect for my Zumba and running.

The fit and size were perfect, breathable material, best shoe purchase I’ve ever made!! Especially since I don’t typically buy shoes without trying them on.

Cloud walking! These are VERY comfortable and I purchased a half size small after reading SEVERAL reviews about running a bit big. I am a die hard Asics fan and have been for 3 decades. I wear a size 9 in all Asics and when several Hoka reviews said Cliftons run on the large size...I bought a size 8.5. These fit okay, as long as I wear super thick socks. My next pair will be a size 8, maybe even a 7.5. I generally order a wide but these 8.5 Cliftons are plenty wide...which is why I believe I could easily wear a smaller size.

I'm still on the fence about these because of the extended heel tab. It's a little odd and makes my heel slip just a tad. And they sort of stick out of the bottom of my pants there too. Otherwise though, these are extremely comfortable, true to size, and have tons of cushion. I have narrow heels and feet, except for bunions from hiking all my life. These are so comfortable I don't want to take them off. It's when I walk that they slip a little at the heel. Still just trying them around the house to decide, but I may just live with a little slippage and wear thicker socks to keep the comfort.

I usually wear 8.5 in New Balance, but need more arch support. My sis recommended Hoka and she was right about the sole being wonderfully cushioned. I ordered 8.5 in Clifton 8 and found them to be just a bit too long. The arch support rubbed against the front of my arch, making it too uncomfortable to wear. I suspect the extra length of the shoe might’ve caused the displacement of the arch support, so I decided to return them after all. The soles were so very comfortable, like walking on a cloud as others have said. The design and colors of the Clifton are beautiful. Sure wish I’d have been able to keep them.

I usually wear a 9.5 in athletic shoes (8.5 in other types), but ordered an 8.5 based on all the reviews. These shoes do not run true to size and were about a half size too small. I’m re-ordering a size 9. It also took the order over 2 weeks to arrive, so they weren’t here by Christmas. I’ve been with Zappos VIP for a long time and in the past year the service has definitely declined.

I have worm Hoka Cliftons for years. These shoes once solved my Plantar Fasciitis; however, this current version of the Clifton has left my feet in excruciating pain! My plantar fasciitis is back and only since wearing these shoes! I can no longer recommend Hoka shoes. Why can’t Hoka leave their shoes like they used to be!? They had an excellent design…why fix something that’s not broken?

True to size, extremely comfortable. I will buy another pair when these wear out!
