First time trying Hoka, always wore New Balance. Liking the Hoka better so far. The toe box could be a little deeper, don't like seeing toe bumps through the top of the shoe.

Great shoe! I'm a nurse and I wear this shoe primarily for walking, although I do wear them for short runs occasionally.
Hoka could improve the quality of the outer material of the shoe though. The white midsole shows wear rather quickly. I love the darker midsole of a separate pair I purchased, which look newer longer. The front toe protector (outsole tip) came off on my right shoe after a few months of use.
*I've recently purchased the Clifton 9, but returned it because I was very disappointed with the fit. I actually stocked up on the Clifton 8. Hoping Hoka will redesign the shoe on 2024 and go back to the Clifton 8 design!

Highly recommended shoes--but I'm left wondering if its just more shoes for fat people (like every pair of Sk*tchrs). Have to pull the laces tight at every eye each time and they are still awfully stretchy. I don't have a narrow foot, these shoes are just more stretchy than feels right. The length is fine.

These shoes are very comfortable. I don't know if it's me or the shoes but I feel like the toe box could be wider. The comfort is wonderful and the shoe fits great but after a couple miles, my toes start feeling very tight. perhaps I should have sized up a little.

Purchased these sneakers at the recommendation from a couple of coworkers, as we are on our feet alot and do lots of walking. The fit was different than what I'm used to but after a couple of wearings, these are comfortable and get me through the day.

The light grey are fabulous. So supportive and extremely helpful for plantar fasciitis. Black pair not so much. They're doable but not nearly as plush . Both Clifton 8.

These shoes provide excellent cushioning and good support, but run AT LEAST 1/2 size too big. However, they are not too wide and the toe box is a bit shallow, so I am hesitant to buy a smaller size. The Clifton 8 is not available locally, so I cannot try it on.

Great for casual running and walking around. My only complaint is that the heel begins to fall apart after a while.

I sometimes need a wide shoe since I also wear and arch in my shoe. I ordered these and my heel slips a little but it is the right width for my arches and rest of my foot. i needed the Hoka since I have 1 foot in a walking boot and these level me out more than any other sneaker.

When I first put them on, the insoles were sharp and hurt my feet. I had to wash them a few times to soften them. I have neuropathy and my feet always hurt. I didn't need my new shoes to contribute to that pain.

I found the shoe had very little lateral stability. I personally prefer a shoe with stability stitching or leather strips to prevent sideway motion, plus they are stretching

This shoe is far more comfortable than the first pair of HOKA's i bought: BONDI SR. I bought the BONDI SR for work, but they're very uncomfortable. This HOKA shoe is very comfortable. Bought for general walking.

I might want to try a half size smaller (more my true shoes size) on my next purchase as these may be a little too roomy but they still feel nice and fluffy to run in.

I like the shoe a lot, but the front foot area is a bit wider than normal. I wear heavier socks to get a snugger fit.

Great running shoes but they run narrower in the toe box than Brooks. Had to return for that reason but I exchanged for the wide version.

The Clifton 8 is not my first pair of Hoka sneakers and it won't be my last, but I would probably not buy the Cliftons again. They are comfortable out of the box, but if you wear your sneakers for lots of outdoor activity, I don't feel that these will stand up to the test of endurance and time. With that being said, I am still a Hoka fan and will continue to support the brand and a shout out to their amazing customer service and that team.
