I hate these shoes. They are not supportive at all and I had to get additional inserts and they still don't feel good. I've worn them (because how else will you know if they fit / work for your feet?) so now I'm out $140. Yay.

Pros: True to size. Wide width was also a true wide. Fit really well.
Cons: Zero arch support.
After slipping the shoes on they felt very pillowy, almost like walking on clouds. Great! Right? No. Within an hour my arches started to hurt. While the shoes themselves are soft and cushy, there is no arch support. For someone who is on their feet for 8-10 hrs a day this was a solid NO! After 4 hrs I took them off because my feet hurt too much. I tried again for two more days and on each one it got worse. I have had more comfortable Skechers. Sadly I had to return these. For $150 my feet should not hurt that bad.

All everyone said at work was Hokas are the best. I am a nurse and am on my feet 10 hrs a day 4 days a week. These are the worst shoes I have EVER put on my feet. I wanted to much to love them but they rub so bad on the balls of my feet. I DO NOT have wide feet and never have to purchase wide shoes so not sure why these are so terrible. For the price this is not a good shoe at all!!! My feet ache from these.

Love the color, style and fit, but in less than 6 weeks of wear the bottom tread is literally falling off in two places. I'm active, but not that active. Really disappointed. Got that cost they should definitely last longer.

I have never had shoes mess my feet up as much as these have. I’ve tried wearing double socks, cushions, etc. Unfortunately, I’m stuck with them because I have worn them on a few walks trying to make them work out. Just not the right shoe for my feet.

This was mt first Hoka pruchase and I hate this shoe. The inside is hard as a rock and the height is way too tall. It felt like I was walking in hard high heels trying to balance. Don't get these.

Very disappointing. I am a loyal Hoka customer but lately they keep redesigning the shoes to where none of them work for me anymore. I have flat feet with bunions and Hokas were always my go-to. My first pair was the Hoka Clifton 3 which was wonderful! I didn't even have to break them in, they were already perfect. Lots of toe room, lots of cushion and didn't move around on me (firm fit for running). These are not even close. Every new version of the Clifton keeps getting slimmer/narrow, tighter and with less toe room. With the Clifton 8 that I just bought, the heel is too loose so I keep slipping out of it. I have the Clifton 5,6 and 7 but every year they keep getting worse. I have gone back and forth with so many sizes in a desperate attempt to make them work but they just don't. The 7.5 W are too wide while the 8 regulars are too tight. The cushion is still great however the upper body of the shoe needs help. I went to the New Balance 1080v10, which were wonderful also but they stopped making those and the new versions are bad. Why do shoe companies keep fixing things that aren't broken?

I really wanted these to work as hoka’s have in the past. Width was wide but apparently still a little narrower than i hoped for. After walking several miles in these, i developed a blood blister from the shoe rubbing against my toe. Can no longer wear for walking. Wish i hadn’t spent all that money on these. Disappointed. Would not recommend if you need a wide toe box. This is not the right shoe. Over priced.

Not good for someone with high arches. I wore one day and it took abt 3 weeks before my arch/ foot area of one foot didn't hurt. Unfortunately too late to return.

My first pair of Hoka were the Clifton 7. Loved, Loved, Loved them. Did I say I LOVED them? Purchased the same size in a Clifton 8 and it was the most disappointing purchase. I tried to bring that back to the authorized store I purchased from within the 30 days window, and they would not take them back. They told me it was my feet. Well, if it was my feet why didn't I have problems with the Clifton 7? They talked me into purchasing inserts instead. The minute they went to put the inserts in the rep said to me "Did you buy 2 different sizes?". I said. "Well, If I did then you sold me 2 different sizes" I called Hoka customer service to explain the situation and they were no help. Where has customer service gone these days? Wish I could go back and purchase Clifton 7's. So disappointed. I understand the Clifton aren't the most expensive in the lineup, but they are useless for what I paid.

I had high expectations for these but they fell short. They rubbed the inside of right below my ankle bone so they will be going back.

I’ve been wearing Brooks for years and thought I would switch it up with Hoka. I’m very disappointed. At first I thought I needed to break them in, but it’s been a few weeks now and it’s getting worse not better. It feels like the sides of my feet are sliding off while I’m running. Like I’m running with my pinky toes not touching the bottom of the shoe and just being supported by the side… angling in opposite directions. It’s distracting, and uncomfortable and just odd. Never had that with any running shoe before. I don’t know if I can still return since I’ve tried them for a few weeks,… hopefully I can because I can’t use them anymore.

I had read such great things about Hoka. Unfortunately these are some of the worst shoes I have purchased. Although I purchased Wide, they aren't. And the arch is so pronounced and sharp that I have blisters on the inside of both feet. Horrible.

These shoes cut into my arch. I don't have a chance to wear them until the 30 days was gone. It's the first pair of shoes in my life that I can't wear.

These are cheaply made, very lightweight to the paint you can feel everything underfoot.
They have changed significantly from the previous Clifton model, The arch support is nearly flat, the back piece if like affixed and is hard, the entire shoe is loose clothe not fitted, the shoe caused feet to roll inward. I have been a long-term Clifton fan and daily wearer since the original clifton. these Shoes have fallen off, quality construction and durability has gone downhill on many styles.

I really wanted to love these shoes! The cushion feels great. Lightweight. They feel stable. The size was "true to size." Except...I don't have overly wide feet, but generally wide-ish and don't like a narrow squish-foot feeling in my running shoes, so I ordered wide width. Even so, the inner arch area cut into my arches immediately. I had the shoe on for about 1 minute. It felt like cardboard cutting my arch. And on that note, the "finishes" felt quite cheap. Exposed fabric on edges, etc. Which seemed odd for an expensive shoe. Sadly these are going back.

I am so sad about the update to this classic. As a runner with nerve damage and achilles issues, this new design is about the worst update Hoka has done. The achilles area is much harder than in previous models and was hurting from the moment I put the shoes on. I really hope that Hoka takes this away in future models. Unfortunately so many of your shoes either have this achilles tab OR a very thin tongue. Both of these make the newest model of shoes so uncomfortable. I have worn Hoka for years as they are the only shoe that allows me to run pain free. But these new modifications have me potentially looking for a new brand of shoe.

Man- what a difference. Putting the Clifton 8’s on compared to the 7’s- they are like a while new shoe and not in a good way. They don’t represent at all what Hokq is known for providing - cushion, comfort, light weight. Extremely disappointed.
