Great road running shoe! Runs 1/2 size large. I am a size 9.5 in every other shoe I wear and could have easily gone with a 9 in the Cliftons

I've had my Hokas almost a month now and since then I've worn them at least 3-4 times a week running and it's been great! I had to replace my old running shoes since my feet were starting to feel the impact and hurt and so I decided to try Hokas after hearing great things about them. I can happily say I don't notice my feet while running anymore, and that is wonderful! They're comfortable and cute and I get excited putting them on. I might be bias considering I ran my fastest 5k time in these shoes lol. I've run with them on concrete and dirt and have had no problems so far. Hoping they continue to be supportive for many more miles! Only thing making these 4 stars is that the laces are weird. Not annoying or anything, but they almost remind me of a thick ribbon and at first I felt like pulling them was going to snap them. But I'm used to it now and I pull them tight enough on my feet and I've had no problems!

Was seeking sneaked for my hallux rigidus. These would’ve been great if they weren’t so narrow. The men’s wide fits me better. And this isn’t as cushy as the Bondi, which I preferred. It was more comfortable for my bone spur though.

I chose this style after I read reviews of the Clifton 7 and the way the tongue was stitched on. I have had these shoes for a couple of days and I have to say that I forget about my feet-thats how good they feel. If you have foot pain, these shoes are excellent. You have gotta get the size right which is so tricky when you buy online. I am a 7 sometimes 7 1/2(not narrow) and I ordered 7W but I was concerned that they would be a bit short. They aren't. They fit perfectly even after a day on my feet from the moment I put them on-no breaking in required. The mid-sole cushioning is noticeable and they feel very stable. It's a great feeling to find shoes that you can rely on.

I have tracked many comfortable miles in 2 different pairs of Hoka Clifton 6- marshmallow cushion with no break-in time. So these Clifton 8's were a huge disappointment- I kept asking myself- why none of that cushiony "aahh" feeling?? I have neuromas in the balls of my feet and wear custom orthotics to relieve the pressure. I think Hoka made these with a lot firmer foam and from the first try they were not even as supportive as my very old, decrepit Clifton 6's. So sorry I had to return but I can't afford foot pain with all the walking I do.

My previous experience with Hoka One One was with the Clifton 6, and they were my favorite running shoes. The Clifton 8 has good cushioning for running on hard surfaces, but they feel too snug after a couple of miles. Of course it is warm out, and my feet will swell more quickly in hot weather, but I didn't experience this discomfort with the Clifton 6. I'm a bit disappointed, and I can't return them because they've been worn.

The Clifton series continues to be a good shoe, however , the Clifton 8 is missing the arch support that past models has had.

I'm a Brooks Ghost gal but someone at my gym was raving about Hoka so I thought I'd give them a try. Based on the Hoka website, I went with a 1/2 size smaller and medium width. The size was fine but Hoka is narrower than Brooks so I exchanged for a wide width. The wide width is better but still not as comfortable as my Ghost medium width. I've only worn them for a few brief periods of time but I'm not sure I like them as much as Brooks. Perhaps they need to be broken in. Right now, I'm thinking of returning them.

They have gone too soft on the heel here. It makes the negative heel in a good position, but with the squishines of the material lifts the toes off the ground completely. The negative heel is too low, and lower than other shoes I tried almost making my knees buckle backward, which is bad for people with EDS or hypermobility issues in the knees. Also the fabric around the ankle is too low and slips up and down a lot. I think this is due to the negative heel squishing so much and making the fabric loser.

I’ve heard so much good stuff about HOKA. The fit is just ok. They are not as comfortable as I had hoped. Biggest thing I dislike is the are noisy. They make a squishing sound with every step and it drives me crazy.

These are so cute and I love the color. But I'm returning them because they just don't fit right. I usually wear HOKA Bondi and thought I'd try something different, but it's not going to work.

I have narrow feet but over the past few years, I've developed a need for shoes with a wider toe box. These shoes have plenty of space for my toes to freely move while working out. Generally, I have no issues with arches in shoes. If I hadn't worn them outside, I would have returned them for a different model.
They're quite ugly. Uncomfortable and unattractive, that's a bad combination.

Return before I had the chance to use them because even though it was the correct size, when I put them on, it was quite narrow on the arch area.

These Hokas did not have the cushioned feel that I wanted. Much prefer the Arahi or Bondi styles. These fit and weren't uncomfortable, seem to have a lot of support. But they just had a stiff feel that I didn't like.

They are very stiff & slippery. Even with fabric protectant applied they held on to any dirt. Walking on any slightly slick floor is difficult.

Love them for walking, great cushion. Love the colors! Don't love them for running, they feel a little bulky and my pace is much slower.

It's a great product. But the top of my shoe has started to rip for some reason and I don't know why ? Kinda disappointed that this is happening because I've only had my shoes for a month.

I ordered it wide but I feel too big for me and too narrow with no support arch at all.
My feet hurt so bad and uncomfortable with the shoes.

I liked these shoes but decided on exchanging them for the Bondi 7 after trying them both. I will wear them predominately for walking and have had recent knee surgery. The Bondi 7 is very comfortable and helps with concrete impact,

As a runner and daily dog walker, I go through a pair of Cliftons every 5-6 weeks (alternating between 2 pair); yes, buying at least 12 pair a year.
The 8's have bothered me more than the 7's in the toe box. IDK why Hoka cuts off the inner edge so hard where your big toe is, having calluses on both feet that require daily band-aids (even in W). I have this issue in the Mach and Clifton (but do not wear W in any other brand).
I continue to wear Hoka b/c of the drop, 5mm is my sweet spot; but the rubbing, and also the fast wearing outer soles, have me looking for other brands. PLEASE ADJUST THE TOE BOX.
