So the fit of these Hoka are different than any pair I've purchased in the past. The shoe is very narrow and the back of the shoe with the tongue isn't useful or comfortable. I should hav returned them but I kept thinking they'd break-in and fit properly

I love Hoka - usually, loyal to them for both my running and walking shoes, love the cushion under my feet. For this hiking shoe, it had all the plushness of Hoka and comfort EXCEPT there was some weird stitching with the interior waterproof liner. It dug into my feet - I kept testing the shoes, hiked several times to see if it would loosen up but it pushed very hard and very uncomfortable. Additionally, having the waterproof interior just gave me a weird feeling on the inside of the shoe that I didn't like, too much moisture stayed in. The grip on the sole was good for hiking. Thank goodness for Hoka's great return policy. I would love to try out another hiking shoe however with the supply problems in our country right now everything is out of stock.

My husband ordered these (way in advance) as soon as they came available on Zappos for my birthday. Unfortunately when he made the order the reviews did not reflect that they ran small. I solidly wear the same size in all other pairs of Hokas that I have. I live outside the USA and often the mail service is not swift, thus I "tried to make them work" they don't.

I love Hoka and these are my first disappointing experience with them. The toe box is narrow, causing my toes to overlap. I felt almost panicked at times, and kept trying to stretch my toes, which were contained, vise-like in this hot, stiff shoe. My feet are normal width. I bought a 9 and wear an 8.5 in regular shoes. My big toe seemed fine standing, but pressed against the front of the shoe during a 5 mile hike. They're not very flexible in the sole, which would be helpful on rocky terrain, but made log/creek crossings difficult. I couldn't wait to get them off my feet when we got to the car. It is rare that I say, "I HATE these shoes, but I said it about 35 times on this hike (my poor husband). They're not inexpensive, so this is a painful lesson for me. They're dusty after the hike, so I'm stuck with them. I'll try to offload them to someone with narrow feet, I suppose. Zappos is always a great choice but hiking shoes are tough, since you don't really know how they'll perform when trying them in your living room. Bummer. Back to trail runners, I guess.

I'm a vet tech in a very busy clinic and have always worn keens for my footwear. In my advanced age, my feet have grown increasingly painful and I had heard about hokas as an alternative. This was my first pair and I'm very disappointed in the durability of the footwear. It has been 3 weeks that I've been wearing then and they are already beginning to pull apart from the sole of the shoe. My keens always last a full year before needing replaced and 3 weeks does not feel like a reasonable amount of time especially considering the price of these shoes. They seem to be very comfortable, but I will not be purchasing another pair.

It runs small and it's specially narrow. It felt comfortable enough under my feet but not enough protection under the toes. The heel was cushioned. Tho I appreciate the recycled material, it looks and feels cheap. I guess it's just a matter of getting use to the new look. I ordered my usual size 6. Then 6.5

i don't know why these fit so different from my other Hokas, but they run large and make the tops of all my toes hurt (not sure why). they also are very awkward with a big chunky part that sticks out at the back of the sole-great for traction but i almost fell down stairs because it catches at the back of the step.

I had these shoes just a little over a year. Purchased Sept 2022. October 2023 they are coming unglued at the top of the foot on one shoe. I have wore these shoes hiking, where they might get damp. Very disappointed and very very hesitant to purchase another pair.

I ordered GOR-TEX, the shoes I received are NOT. In the picture GOR-TEX is clearly visible on the shoe. NOT on the ones I received!

Not kidding. Save your money. I was sooooooooo disappointed. They're all loose around the edge of the shoe. The manufacturer clearly needs a better glue. I haven't even hiked in them.

Hoka shoes aren't for me. I have a narrow foot. These shoes are designed for standards width feet, which today means wide. Like New Balance running shoes Hoka's are too wide and no arch support.

I was hoping they would be amazing like my other Hoka's. Sadly they were not. They were way to narrow. I wish they came in a wide. I would definitely try again if they did. I exchanged them for a different style. They are probably great for someone with narrower feet than me.

I have consistently worn Hokas size 7 in probably close to 30 pairs at least of Clifton's, bondis, challengers, anacopa hiker, speedboats and another hike boot I can't remember the name and my favorite but they quit making them. I'm 5'5" 119 lbs and a pretty lean foot. After wearing these for one day the tops of my toenail beds were killing me to the point I was worried they were bruised and hoped I didn't lose one. When going to the company they suggested I send them in at my own shipping expense to see if I had a valid warranty issue and they'd possibly offer me a credit. Be sure these fit well wear them indoors for a while so you don't mess up the soles so you can send them back if they hurt. Very disappointed in their effort to rectify a design issue. I don't have that problem in any of their other shoes.

I was charged full price for a pair of shoes that looked as thought they had been worn fo rmonths. Some of the tread was worn off, they were dusty, shoelaces had clearly been tied over and over.

These run extremely big make sure to size down about a .5 size to a full size. They are also extremely wide in the front toe area. Overall wouldn't repurchase

Huge fan of Hoka products and I was super excited to try these hiking shoes. They are too small everywhere. Width, length, volume. I felt like my foot was spilling out of the shoe. It wasn't deep enough and that made it feel really unstable. I tried a half size larger but same issues with volume and width. I'll stick to the Speedgoats for hiking for now.

I'm sorry I love my other Hokas, but these ones really hurt my feet a lot with the seams on both sides of the tongue are so together there is big lumps. I wanted to love them because of the soul on them is Vibram and they are waterproof but I can't walk in them because they hurt so I had to return them. Eventually, I will buy a different style, but I will try them on in the store for comfort first.
