Love the pants, took them up to go tubing with my kids in what turned out to be a blizzard with temps around 15 F. I had no base layer under them and did not get cold in the legs. My feet and upper body got cold, though so I had to add an extra coat. Love the pants, by far my favorite. I plan on pairing them with my Beta SV bibs for high mountain activities.

Just took delivery of these pant and love them. There are made of a more robust material, not as light as some of the other pants but super durable and they look great,

I recently purchased these pants to hike in the High Peaks of the Adirondack mountains in NY. Have been out a few times with them and they seem very durable and will make a great exterior layer.

You took the winter backpacking with low of 15 Fahrenheit and these kept me warm when hiking at night.

So water-resistant and wind-resistant that Goretex pants become useless! This with a warm baselayer is so much more comfortable than anything else.

One of the best editions in the Gamma series....AR has quality fabric w/ excellent stretch A great option for ones pant collection and suggest the LT version as well I suggest making all the Gamma series pants in 30, 32, 34 etc.....vs S, M and L and expand the range of color options (I bought the Daze color....yellowy beige...and it is great)

Right in time for the season, thick enough for coming winter and can still hold additional layers. The length fits well

Would you please consider making some of these awesome pants in short sizes? I'm 5'11" and sometimes prefer a bit shorter pant so they don't hang so much. Plus, since these have the drawstring and boot hooks on the bottom, they can't be hemmed. Thank you!

These are amazing, quick drying, light precipitation shedding, very breathable pants. I've used them for a year with barely any wear visible. My main use is for cold weather rock climbing, warm weather mountaineering/ice climbing or other active use down to 0 degrees (Celsius). I'm 5'10', 145lbs and size small fit well without the legs being baggy.

My daughter, the mountaineer, bought these for me as a gift over a year ago. I hike year-round in New Hampshire's White Mountains where the weather can get as as bad as anywhere. I've hike with these pants in temperatures below zero with winds reaching 20 MPH and these pants have kept my legs amazingly comfortable. I would highly recommend these pants to anyone who spends time outside in cold and windy temps. I'm looking to get a jacket with similar qualities.

Been an ice climbing guide, ski guide, and volunteer with winter SAR teams for years and decided I needed an upgrade for my personal ice climbing pants. Stunning quality. Material is supple yet robust, interior is soft and comfortable against the skin, great little features like cuff hooks to keep the pants attached to my G5s when postholing in deep snow, and the fit is spot on to the sizing chart. Size 28 - Male, 38yo, 5'8", 140lbs, 31" inseam, 29.5" waist,

I've been wearing this pant for the past 3 years, nearly daily in the winter and tons in the fall and spring and it still looks and acts like new. Very durable and functional all round pant.

I bought these pants last winter and used them all season long for hiking, snowshoeing, and skiing. I found they are a versatile pant that breathes well during higher output activities. I was also pleasantly surprised at the water resistance. I've hiked in lighter Seattle rain for several hours and remained dry. I was also impressed at the durability of the fabric. The pants still look brand new after about a year of use.

I normally don't write reviews, but now I have to. I do own several things from arcteryx e.g. the alpha sv jacket & pant, some fleece, other pants and jackets but I have to tell you this pant is great! Recently bought it from an online store without previous trying it on and I also hadn't the possibility to wear it outdoors until now (hiking, climbing, etc.) but just the way it fits the body and the feeling when you have it on is perfect. Also the material is a bit noisy against itself but feels durable, protective, breathable etc. I've been wearing the sigma fl pant for over 2 years, and it's really great pant but this one seems to be even better. Of cours it's made of more thick material and designsted for lower temperatures (winter). I've no doubt about its quality, durability, long-lasting use in mountains. I am at least so happy with this purchase as with my alpha sv and I think here you get what you pay for. If you are in two minds than I can seriously recommend it.

I just recently bought these to wear hiking on Mt Rainier. I've never had a pair of hiking pants because I always prefer shorts, however I want to start hiking more all year round rather than just the summer months so I decided to look for a good pair of cold weather hiking pants and these were the first ones that caught my eye! I'm 5'9 with big quads and I bought the 32 short and they fit perfectly. They have a very nice, durable feeling materials and they shed water and snow. I want to get into mountaineering and these will be perfect. Excited to use them more this winter!

Very impressed with these. I got these over the winter for a pant with a bit more durability. After a few falls on rocks and ice they still look brand new. Plus they have a little hook at the bottom for your shoe laces so the bottom of your pant leg doesn't ride up.

I bought the Gamma AR this past fall and they are some of the best pants I have ever purchased. My main use was for hiking in Idaho and Oregon this last fall. Temperature was moderate but did get down to freezing early in the morning and late at night. I wore them day after day (black color) and they were perfect. Plenty of stretch - very comfortable. Not as tough feeling as Gamma MX but perfect for hiking etc. Having both pair of pants is a perfect match for fall, winter, and early spring. I am 5'8" 140 and small is perfect (weight 149 when first purchased and they were also fine)

Great materials- im 6'1"- got a medium. Perfect fit around waist - id say im a 32.5"- they are maybe a bit right on cusp of too short but they work out perfect. Belt works great but would be cool if you could attach some stuff on back. pockets great and the materials are sweet- could probably ski in them but mainly for cold hikes.

I just purchased my third pair of these pants in the last 6-7 years. I have to add a crampon patch on the instep, but generally get 30-40 days of ice climbing and mountaineering in them each year. I have also used them for late fall cold weather hiking and cross country skiing. They breath well, resist weather well enough for New England winter outings and the stretch and movement are fantastic. The Large / Short is perfect for my 35" waist and 28" inseam.

These pants fit me well. I am an MS size, and the size fit me better than any pants I can remember. The fit is really great, plenty of room in the crotch (for once! I hate the tiny low-rise craze for men). I like the hug in the waist -- without feeling like I either have to stop eating for the next two weeks to feel comfortable in somepants, or needing suspenders in others.
