mid layer or outer on the Go coat I have purchased to date. Serves its purpose thoroughly, and can take a great beating. Materials are really warm and flexible and will continue to be my go to coat. I wouldn't own 5 if I didn't standby these Hoody's.

A classic from ArcTeryx. Warm and cozy. Perfect under a shell jacket or as a casual hoody. A must have piece in your wardrobe.

Soft and stretchy with a great fit, it's my go to mid-layer. Works great under a down vest for mobility and warmth while skiing on sunny days. As for some reviews that mention pilling, I haven't experienced that yet after 6 months of use.

This is my all day hanging out sweatshirt. Love it. Super comfortable and looks good. Can double as a light mid layer.

Loving it. I'm using it as a mid layer and is so nice for this purpose. So cozy, warm and the hoodie protects my neck so well. Perfect layer for a down jacket.

I bought this hoodie for myself (for a lady) because of the colour that seems to be only for men. The small size fits great! I am 5'10" and the size usually works for me. Love it!

My new favourite hoodie. Super soft and fleecy on the inside and made with stretchy fabric. I ordered a Large I'm 6' 196lbs and it fits me well. The Bordeaux red color looks great. I wear it under my Gamma MX hoodie and it keeps me warm during our Canadian winters up to -25C.

I've been curious about the Kyanite AR product line for some time, but wasn't sure given the less favorable reviews. I'm so glad that I went for it, as this is by far my favorite fleece jacket, it's both soft and warm, with a great fit, and the stretch of the fabric is amazing. I like and wear it so much that my wife will probably hide it from me or purchase one in a different color so I'll take it off. Highly recommended.

I have picked up about 6 of these so far in a variety of colours. They are great as a stand alone jacket on cooler mornings or early fall days or as a layering piece when it starts getting cold. I've had them since they first came out and even after lots of washes and many miles put on they still look great.

Great fit and great warmth, I have worn it in the Arctic, Tetons, Sonoran MX, And in all situations and locations it has performed.

It's my first Arc'teryx jacket and I'm so in love with it. Keep you warm and thin enough to layer your other jacket.

I bought this for mostly urban use and it's been excellent. The colour is nice, it's quite warm with decent wind protection and the fit is slim and stylish. A bit pricy, but I know I'm going to wear the heck out of this

In my opinion over the body range it could be a litte tighter, I would prefer an elastic band around the hip

The Polartec stretch pro keeps me feeling toasty in cold environments. However the fabric surface should better be treated with some reinforcement as the piling issue does bother me a lot.

I absolutely love the comfort, warmth, and breathability of this fleece. However, I am seriously disappointed at how much it is already pilling, after only one month of use. It's just too expensive for this to happen.

I purchased the Kyanite AR hoody in phantasm (large). For reference, I am 6'1", 175lbs and a 32" waist, with a 41.5" chest. The size large fits well on me. This fleece fits slim, which is what I was looking for. The material is very soft and has a nice stretch to it. It definitely keeps me warm on cooler / cold nights without overheating. I really do like the colour (phantasm), and it looks between a wine purple and a brown. I thought the outside of the fleece would be a bit "smoother", but it's basically the same material as the inside of the fleece. Not a bad thing, but just not what I had expected. The only real downside is that this is very expensive for a fleece hoody. Overall, I really like this fleece a lot!

unfortunately i have to agree with the comments that this does indeed pill very easy. The pictures are from mostly indoor use - and when it is used outdoors it is covered as a mid-layer. It is comfy and fits great, as you expect from Arc'teryx but if you are the type of person to be really bothered by the pilling of the fabric then be aware - as it happens so easily.
